We've used this company twice now. We had half our garage full of junk that we needed taken away both times. They came on time, made sure everything they took was correct, even made sure to pull a few things aside (some to recycle and also made sure I kept a high dollar electronic I didn't realize was in the pile), good guys that care about the work they do. Swept up after themselves. Took them about 30 minutes each time! So fast! I was able to schedule at a convconvent time for myself, and then get on with my day so fast! David is the owner and is a hard worker, fully insured and bonded (recent Sonoma State grad too). For approx. half the price of Got Junk he completely filled up his dump truck with one helper. He sorted out recyclables to reduce fees and waste. In less than two hours my garage and side yard were cleaned up. I had old patio furniture, a mattress, construction materials, and an old chicken coop. His fees vary because dump fees vary. This company was great. The website had a nice inquiry section for all questions. All the employees were VERY professional. It's hard to have great service nowadays. The only reason I left a star off was due to their rickety trucks. The gentlemen pull up in a F 250 and a dump truck that is in desperate need of TLC, but these guys mean business. I emailed a quote request and received a response expeditiously within an hour. I felt it was last minute being New Years Eve weekend. I made a follow up call Friday 12/29/17. I have never, ever called anyone from a roadside sign. For some reason I did and called Next Day after stopping at a light where they had a sign. Am I glad I did. Make no mistake about it. These guys are very hard workers, and well-intentioned and when they left, my place looked better than before, but it was a hit and miss from what I had hired them to do. It's what they didn't do that gives them the lower rating from me. Initially, Dave came to look over my property and give me an estimate for what I wanted him to do. I have over half an acre, so there were quite a few things I pointed out to him I would like done. I mentioned he might take notes, there were so many things I was pointing out....and he said "I don't need notes. I remember everything." He didn't. He did what he thought should be done, and took much more time doing it his way. He was a blatant know-it-all, and talked constantly about how good a job he does. When I had asked him just to mow down large patches of dry dutch iris, he did it by hand pulling it all out taking 10 x longer than what I had asked him to do because his way was the "pro" way. I asked them to mow the yard with a mower, and edge everything with the weedeater. I never saw the mower, and they used the weedeater on everything. Of #1 importance I told him, was the back pasture, which had the street's drainage ditch full of weeds, I had asked to be taken down to the dirt with the weedeater. I had to have him do it over. The back pasture had a small stand of redwoods, where plant debris had built up. He was told I wanted all of that raked out and cleaned up. He didn't. I told him I wanted a mower to go over the back pasture to keep whatever weeds were coming up from going to seed. He didn't. No mower anywhere. I have owned and maintained this property with a weedeater, blower, and mower for 30 years, but he constantly told me how to do things, and how much he knew - much of it incorrect. They worked so hard, but it was frustrating to watch and wonder if they were going to remember to do what I had actually asked to be done! At a certain point, I gave up telling them. They do excellent clean up work, but are more "farm landscape clean up" than for residences. Weed eating is done, but not neatly - but great for farm property (which mine is not). They blew a huge amount of leaves into the street and were going to leave them instead of picking them up....until I said something....and all the places that mattered to be free of leaves (in front of all entry doors, patio door, etc. where they get tracked in.....) were totally messy. His response to my comment on why he left them that way was "I told you we would not be picking up every single leaf".....and I said I understood that, but in front of all the doors where they get tracked in? Get real. Dave forgot to blow the leaves out of the little apartment yard (yes - it was one of the things he didn't write down during the estimate visit). When I asked him to - he blew them into a pile up against the apartment siding and left them! Like I said...at this point I gave up mentioning anything. I asked if they could clean the gutters and blow the leaves off the roof, and they said yes...which was great. It was going to pour the next day. Afterwards Dave bragged to me "all the gutters are clear. Not one leaf left", to which I was tremendously relieved. They weren't clear. When the downpour came the next night I heard a waterfall on the east side of the house.....and the gutters were completely full of leaves and pouring over the edge right to the apartment front door. I had to get up on a ladder in the rain at night to dredge all the leaves out (I'm a senior) or it would have flooded right under the door. I'm so grateful I was home and heard it and was able to avert a disaster. Who only clears "some" gutters? When I disputed some of the charges - instead of discussing them with me, Dave got mad and told me he "didn't need customers like me" and was very rude. When I questioned paying for what I believed was an extra amount, instead of discussing it - he and his brother threatened me by going to their truck full of my trash, and started to empty it out onto my driveway. Just awful. Very scary tempers they had. I hid in the house Dave was so out of control. He was back and forth from the truck to my front door, yelling things through the door......all instead of discussing it with me - they were intent on dumping my garbage in the front of my house, which they started to, and then picked it up and left. Very two-faced. Incredibly polite, accommodating, service oriented, ........but watch out if you question them or catch them in an untruth. A few lessons on how to deal with the public are sorely needed here. read more
