Luisa at Next Estate is absolutely incredible. I tried many other agencies in Berlin...I believe all of them. I am admittedly an extremely spoiled American when it comes to the service level I expect from real estate people. I own several homes on the west coast and am used to agents jumping through crazy hoops to earn their commission. Berlin agents do not share this view...even though it's ultimately my money paying their wage, they tend to treat you like you're the subservient one.
Luisa was the ONLY agent I found who was ALWAYS responsive. She answered every call immediately, showed me every apartment immediately, explained things about the German system I just didn't understand...I was completely lost in the ocean of trying to purchase a home in a strange country with strange rules and laws, but she expertly piloted me through that storm. It took months and months, but she never got tired of me and she stayed with me through the endless viewings and stupid questions until we got it right. Really really right...
I own a BEAUTIFUL home in my favorite part of Berlin. I wake up every day and say to myself, "oh my god, I get to live HERE!". There's no way in the world I would have my dream home if it wasn't for Luisa. I cannot say enough good about her. I will feel forever indebted to her, and though I didn't know her before I started on this journey I will forever consider her a friend.
