For some reason they have stopped selling maternity wear in this branch which is really annoying. The prices are quite high, however the quality is high. The confusing part for some is that the checkout is on the other side of the store in the Burtons menwear section.

This is a small and very dated and old fashioned shop in the town centre. A few years back i was…read morevery popular with school uniforms as wa sone of the very few places you could buy them, but as more supermarkets are doing school clothing at cheaper prices, it is becoming less popular and you never see anyone in. The only thing it is popular for now is for a certain few schools where it is the only place you can get certain parts of the uniform from. They do however stock a lovely range of traditional christening gowns which are gorgeous, but the prices are just so expensive people today cannot afford them. The shop is also very dark and overstocked it hard to view items and you very rarely want to go in for getting jumped on when enetering as customers are far in between. Sadly this once very popular shop I think is on its last legs.

The prices are very reasonable and can often pick up a lot of bargains, plus they often ahve fantastic offers on. You can also order from their new catalogue if what you want is not in stock. The staff are really helpful and friendly, however there is not always enough tills open so queues can build up.

Its a great shop to pop into as it has practically anything you could need (within reason) such as stationery, toys, household improvement items, plants, sweets, cleaning products, pet foods, etc. I think that the move has been fantastic for both the town and the store, however, the larger size of the store did not fix the problem with queuing as the queues are often quite long and time consuming.

I recently bought a lovely electric blue dress there for £40 and it fits very well, is very well made and washes with no problems (sometimes cheaper clothes can be subject to shrinkage). Everything they sell is bang on trend, wearable, and comes in a variety of sizes too. Their shoes are nice, as is their lingerie, and in terms of menswear I think they have a lot of choice in terms of trendy clothes, shoes and accessories and certainly it is somewhere I buy gifts for male relatives and my partner from.
