However, the TK Maxx ethic is to create a 'jumble sale' feeling, where the shopper is encouraged to hunt for bargains. I'm not a fan of TK Maxx, but would recommend this branch over others I've visited due to it's location close to the town centre.

They offer a fantastic range of bags, which are situated at the front of the store, along with purses/wallets etc. They do a lingerie range, and they sell a lot of good mens underwear too. They also stock homewares, kitchen equipment, ornaments, vases, children's toys and they offer fantastic value for money on everything. You have to sift your way through long rails of clothing to find something you like, and it can be rather time consuming but that's fine if you have the time. This store is pretty big and I like it.

I took a few items over to the fitting rooms where 2 girls were chatting before handing me the card for me to head down to a room. All the rooms I passed were full of other peoples clothes that had been left, which is common in the store so I just entered and went along with my day. Shortly after entering the room someone started making remarks about using that room and demanded I leave (at that point I was in my bra as was about to try on a top so felt a bit uncomfortable) to which I apologised saying the room was taken. I could hear a few murmurs although couldn't make out what they were saying before the curtain was opened on me and this girl demanded I give her "her stuff" back (new look items that were just in the room) to which I through my top on as quick as I physically could, picked up my stuff and went to leave. The 2 staff stopped me saying I needed to return the items and card which I usually would but felt I needed to just get out of there after what happened. I told them I just got kicked out of the fitting room before getting called back and scolded at for not returning the items with nothing mentioned of the girl harassing me outside the changing room then opening the curtain to get me to leave. Staff sided with that girl who had violated my personal privacy and covered their name tags as I asked if I could leave before one of them eventually left her colleague to go retrieve the items. Personally, if you have any sense of dignity then stay clear of this New Look. Staff are generally rude and not caring in the slightest.

Elevator access is available for moving between floors and there is also a lift for disabled customers. The store is vast with lots of space between the clothing stands so it does not become crowded. The sale points are also roomy with several tills available to queue at. The staff are always manning this area so there is never any wait. The staff are helpful and quick to serve. They fold clothes neatly into a bag before passing it to you. The prices in this New Look are quite reasonable. There is often sales and promotions on with a large sector of clothing reduced. An excellent central location in the mall it is definately worth a visit.

There is also always a good range of sizes in most items. There are fitting rooms in 2 floors, which is great as I hardly ever have to queue. There are also tills on both floors. They have a separate Customer Services section but often only 1 person serving so I often have to queue for a little while when making a return. My only complaint is that the accessories section is small (not many bags!)

The shop is quite small, it does have two levels but is only manned by one staff member at a time and they often follow you upstairs because of this which is very off putting , makes you feel like they expect you to steal something. I have stopped going in here though as i cannot afford anything in here, i feel its very overpriced, you can get the same labels online cheaper and it feels very snobby in there.

Typically, the area outside of the shop is very busy. The window displays ar always brilliant in this store and make me want to go in. Inside I find it very stuffy and disorganised though. The space seems almost too small to fit all of the stock and consequently the clothing stands feel too close together. It is a squeeze to move around the store especially during busy periods. This means it is not a pleasant shopping experience here. The clothes here are often highly priced but have a lot of detail and a designer look about them. Next cater to trends and what they sell is always at the height of fashion. I find the staff here very helpful and polite. I do think that they have a difficult job running a store that seems to have more custom than it's size suggests it should have!

We had snacks on the first occasion and a bigger meal on the second. A great selection of choices, all served very swiftly by extremely helpful staff. (The peculiarly British quirk of being unable to swap out one side dish for another was a problem on one occasion -- "No, I'm sorry, the manager won't let us do that" is about as useless a response as "Yeah, we don't seem to care what you want; you should have what we've got and be happy!' -- but I'll forgive that because their coffee was actually drinkable, unlike most department store cafes.)
