UNHELPFUL. Waste of money, at least with my visit. Made the same mistake, thinking this urgent care center would be different. I tried to go to another local clinic before this one but I was essentially stonewalled by all the red tape that places like these seem to have. I made sure to check the website before calling and still, it claimed they do labs, xrays, etc. I felt ill, loss of appetite, and some other concerning symptoms and if you're traveling (and maybe even as a resident) it can be INCREDIBLY difficult to just get seen by a doctor/primary care provider if you don't happen to have one.... And as I've come to realize, it takes SO LONG! One local clinic (Community Action) has a MONTH long wait just for new patients. And another in corpus won't see any new patients until July!!! (It is currently March). Unless I have to be half-dead going to the ER, can no one see or help me?! I've read the Alice hospital reviews too and honestly it's just... highly concerning.... I almost feel like going to the hospital might be the only way to get seen sooner, but honestly it might just end up being just like this visit here at NextCare x.x they'll probably not take me seriously, I'll have to wait a million years, or they may not have the proper resources/equipment to help me! Since I moved from TX some time ago, I have an out of state ID and that alone is reason enough for certain local clinics to not help me or apply for certain programs they offer, and it sucks! My symptoms seemed to be worsening and persisting and I've tried to call, visit, and look up so many local clinics like this one and nothing is happening! So far, I've only been able to get some labs done... (at a different local clinic in Freer). it's such a hassle if I do even get lucky enough to get a "office visit" or whatever. Sorry if this is off track. Anyway, at this place I thought maybe they could do labs (since the website mentioned it) or maybe some other tests and that a doctor there could tell me what was wrong with me at least. But nope!!! I pretty much just came in, described my symptoms to at least two different people, and when I did finally see the doctor, she did very basic tests like taking my blood pressure and temp. I don't remember what else, but I think she measured weight too. She was one of the people I told my symptoms, but after those basic tests she essentially did nothing else but tell me to go to a primary care doctor and take suggested products, like two different over the counter meds and multivitamins. The facility is brand new...brand new to the area as well and I must say I love it. No hassle of going there and having to wait in the waiting area like your local hospital. This place is as simple as registering online and getting a text message 15 minutes prior to your estimated check in time. As I mentioned this place is brand new which it is super clean as well and service is fast. They take pretty much all insurances and they provide lab services as well as radiology services to. The joy of checking in and not having to wait in a waiting room with so many other patients in front of you is a joy in itself. read more

This is the Second time I've been to this clinic, obviously not having a choice since TriCare assigned this location. As my appointment was at 11 AM, I'm not seen until HOURS later, even after being called back they left me sitting in a closet sized examination room, moved me into a bigger room, and then completely forgot about me for 2 hours. All that just for a written prescription which took less then 5 minutes to write up. read more

Checked in with 3 people ahead of us at 4:55pm. Walked out the door (with no paperwork or info) at 9pm. Is that good or bad? I don't know. We were finally taken back at 6:45pm and the doctor poked her head in and said "I forgot my stethoscope, brb" and then 45 minutes after that she returned. Is that normal? Maybe. I don't know. We left without any information about my 2 year old's illness, just the CC receipt showing my copay and a prescription called in to Walgreens. I don't know how high I'm supposed to set the bar for urgent care clinics, but I guess if i keep it low this would have been an average experience. Is that good or bad? read more

I came down with a fever and had to miss a few days of work. Felt better on Thursday, but I really wanted to get a full testing for Flu and COVID before going back in. The Staff was awesome, and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes with negative results. I told Dr. King I did not feel I need any Meds. Next day had a fever again, and felt like crapola. I went to the clinic as the staff was just about to walk out for lunch. They recognized me from the previous day, and told me to come on back. They took care of what I ask for. In less than 10 minutes. On the way out, I stopped to pay another Co Pay. They said it was not necessary that it would go on the previous days bill, and that the insurance company had been notified, and to have a nice weekend. I am very happy with the service I received from the Access office in Kingsville. They were recommended to me by two co workers, and I am now recommending them as well. read more

I drove in to town for a quick trip to visit family. I called and asked about the process of a Covid test and about how long it would take. She told me to make an appointment before 4pm for the next day, and since during the holidays, I might wait 45 minutes, which I understand. I completely appreciate these people working leading up to the holidays and I work in medical in Houston; I understand this pandemic. I made an appointment for 1:30. I was still waiting in my car at 3:30 and when I went to talk to the front desk, she told me I chose a bad day to come and that I still had people ahead of me. I understand having a slight wait, but what is the point of setting appointments if the walk-ins are going to be taken ahead of me. I eventually left after 2 hours that I had wasted away from family during my 36 hour visit down. I'll just definitely be sure to never try to get things like this done while visiting Alice. Very inefficient medical care and the lady at the front desk was pretty rude and frustrated with me when I got down to come inside because the app told me I was next. I can't sit in my car for over 2 hours. read more

The PA's are amazing seen two of them and they are both willing to listen and allow you as a parent to ask questions!! I will never question my visit again they made me feel welcome and had a deep concern for my child ! I totally enjoy the fact that they work effectively and in a timely manner. read more
