A very beautiful little village with a cute beach and suburbs, some restaurants and bars, the "…read moremiam " is a gastronomic french restaurant with smart prices and high level kitchen. Marie and Paul are very cool and professional, and the restaurant has a terrasse with great view on the beach. the beach bar is a great bar on the beach and a grocery " mais perto " has lot of products at nice price. Lots of foreigners live there (americans, frenchs and britishs) and life is really good and peaceful. Sometimes surfers can ride the waves znd sometimes dolphins travel by the beach. You can walk around on the beautifuld cliffs around the village or discover the hidden beaches by paddle boards. its not easy to leave this paradise after visiting it.

It was very hot (95f) so the ride was welcome to cool off. Our tour was of the sea caves (a 2 hr tour). Had a high speed ride to the far east side of the caves, then a slow tour in and around the caves heading west. Finally a high speed ride west back to the marina. Great fun!

Anyway, the hostel was cold! Not literally but in the cool kind of way, like, yo, that's cold. Which is interesting because cool/cold have similar meanings in both respects, so, whoever came up with that one, my hat is off to them (I also enjoy that expression). I spent most of the weekend figuring why they call the hostel this name and I finally found out it has something to do with a rooster waking up. I would have called this place 'good morning cock' to reduce any sort of confusion. I digress (I think), I liked most of the people here, except for, well, nobody, except, I didn't feel like going back to delete the earlier part of the sentence. I'm listening to Toosie Slide while I write this and I would really like the know what that means too (it might have something to do with Drake being Canadian - I think they call Canadians 'Toosies' but literally don't quote me). I booked through American Express, and there was no mention of any additional charge for a baby--especially since we didn't request an extra bed. However, the front desk initially said there would be a $35 fee, but they ended up charging $90 without a clear explanation. It felt like they were making up prices on the spot. Although this is supposed to be a 5-star hotel, there was no iron provided, and the hangers were of such poor quality that they almost ruined my silk dress. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience. One more important note: My nephew's shoes were stolen while we were at the hotel's private beach. Please be extra cautious with your belongings. Keep your door locked at all times, and I would advise against requesting housekeeping during your stay.

Cons are bed wasn't super comfortable. Have to carry your luggage up several flights of stairs. Good for a night or 2 but wouldn't want to spend longer.
