Our experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful from start to finish. The project was plagued by poor communication, repeated delays, and a lack of follow-through. Subcontractors often didn't show up as scheduled, and weeks would pass with little progress. We were left without a working kitchen or laundry for long periods, which caused significant inconvenience and additional expenses for our family. Jobsite cleanliness and care for our property were lacking. Demolition and construction damaged our existing floors, resulting in thousands of dollars in refinishing costs. While the owner admitted responsibility, we never received adequate compensation or resolution. The most serious problem was discovered after the renovation: severe moisture, mold, and structural damage that had never existed in our home's 60-year history. Multiple independent professionals--including the city inspector, a technical expert, and an inspector sent by their own insurance company--concluded that Moncrief Renovations violated building code by blocking crawlspace ventilation, creating a moisture trap that led to extensive damage. Despite providing Moncrief with detailed documentation, inspection reports, and repeated requests for resolution, they failed to take responsibility or correct the issues. We have since filed complaints with the Georgia Secretary of State Licensing Board, the Georgia Department of Insurance, and are seeking further action. I would strongly advise anyone considering Moncrief Renovations LLC to proceed with extreme caution. Our experience has resulted in major property damage, financial loss, and ongoing stress.

Ricky Eilerman had been our real estate agent and did us a great favor in recommending Jimmy Moncrief and his team of pro's! I engaged with Jimmy and he came out and evaluated our needs and brought in a couple more of his 'idea' craftsmen in a later meeting. They not only came up with an unexpected solution, using state of the art materials, but the price quoted was right where we wanted it to have been, so we engaged them and got on the schedule. I've posted both before and after photos that show the great transformation they created. You can see by the bright interior now that we at last have a porch that we can use!! Most importantly, REALLY enjoy!!! They accomplished all of that. By the way, the outdoor fan was a GREAT suggestion they gave us and makes the room all the more exceptional!! We hired Done Right for a large job on a newly purchased home in the historic district. As we would…read morebe 'absentee' we did our research, met with them several times, and were impressed. Unfortunately, that's where our positive experience ends. We checked on the job several times and were constantly told that things would be done within a certain time frame - they were not. Further, the quality of work was not of a professional quality, and the several professionals we have had in since then have all said that the work was completely sub-standard. In addition, they stated they used drop cloths to paint, but I have paint all over my hardwood floors, and the floors now have to be refinished. There is overspray from them painting our door, and they used the wrong quality paint (we paid for Valspar and got Home Depot brand) as well as the wrong type, so it's peeling over the trim. Like Brittney S, we were told truck problems, hospitalizations and other such stuff was causing the delays, and we have several witnesses/neighbors that exhibited concern over their activities. We finally dismissed them after they left grout on tile to set (they claim we dismissed them immediately, we have documentation to prove they had 'truck problems' the day they were supposed to return and did not respond to a voice mail left previously). We had to move in to a home that was supposed to be completely done, but in actuality has taken over another month to complete (and an additional $10,000 to fix - not counting the damage caused) STAY AWAY. They talk a good game, but they do not follow through, and the creativity with the truth has to be seen to be believed. I have the pictures and correspondence to prove it. BEWARE of done right construction! never finished the job and the job they started was done ALL…read morewrong! kept bringing different people over to fix the work and they damaged our floors and home and personal property! as i was told be every PROFESSIONAL that has come by it is a mess and done wrong! wanted their money up front and then said would take a week and that turned into 2 months and it has been nothing but a nightmare! wish i never went to Lowes where they referred us to the porch.com site and thats how we found this people. they are crooks and they do NOT know what they are doing! they are a joke and he will give every excuse in the book saying he had truck problems then i was in the hospital to oh i was out of town! but he never answers his phone or calls back you will just get a random text message days later! PLEASE spread the word..we do NOT need someone like him in OUR community!
