I came in solely to have a crown placed. As soon as I sat down, I was strongly encouraged to receive a nerve block to help with anxiety. I wasn't feeling particularly anxious, but I was told it was free, so I agreed. I was quickly given paperwork to sign, which I did willingly, though I should have taken more time to read it. What was not explained to me verbally was that this involved an injection in my neck. When I realized that, I froze but went along with it. After the injection, I was told the doctor is writing a paper on this procedure and was then asked whether it helped my anxiety, which immediately made me uncomfortable and made me feel like a test subject rather than a patient. Later, when reviewing the consent, I saw listed risks such as temporary phrenic nerve blockage and infection, risks that were never clearly explained beforehand. Instead, it was described very casually as "feeling like having a mimosa." When I called with concerns, the staff were kind and understanding, but I was told I would know if something went wrong because I'd have extreme difficulty breathing. I wish that risk had been communicated before the procedure, not AFTER. The staff were friendly overall and there were no complications, but the lack of transparency and how casually this was presented felt unethical to me as a patient. While I did sign the paperwork and take responsibility for that, clearer verbal communication and informed consent would have made a huge difference. read more

This place is toxic. I've never seen staff so mistreated in front of customers. Great Dr, poor management. AND Yes I've been here, the lady in the back office brings her dogs with her. Also being in basically the walmart capital, you would think they would except walmart insurance, but they don't. 160$ for x-rays and a cleaning, after insurance is insane. read more

I just started going to this Dentist a little while ago and I love it. I've never been afraid of the dentist, but the previous dentist I was seeing in the area just gave me a weird feeling. I had been recommended to go to Dr. Nick by a friend and after researching him online, I finally made an appointment. He is one of a kind dentist and ahead of his time with his knowledge and technique. It is awesome we have such a dentist in this area! The office is really nice and everyone who works there that I have encountered is so friendly and helpful. The woman at the front desk is so warm and friendly. The dental hygienist I had clean my teeth was very friendly and funny. Dr. Nick knows what he is doing and is very honest with you - which I greatly appreciate. I highly recommend them! read more

Just another greedy dentist. Called with all the information on a tooth I needed crowned because it was a front tooth and the filling will not stay in. My clinic referred me and they were able to get any information from them. I got a major run around on the price. They want to get you in the chair, take X-rays, charge you for an exam & visit and get you very invested before they tell you it will cost 2 to 3 thousand. That is for a healthy tooth that is just missing the corner that I had a filling put in 4 times in 5 years but because of it being the corner it will not stay in. I had a really hard time getting a price out of the staff on the phone as I am pretty sure they are told not to. I don't consider most dentists(there are a few) true doctors who are really invested in helping their patients. They are in it for the money, period. I worked for three dentists and they were all the same but the prices this dentist is charging is truly above and beyond. If you are rich feel free to line his pockets with all your extra cash but if you are just normal middle class you may want to take your business elsewhere. I am going to another very reputable local dentist with many years of experience and having it fixed for $800. He is one of the rare ones that isn't in the business for just the money. Went in today to get my son's broken tooth fixed. He walked me through his recommendation of what to do and let me make an option of what I wanted to do. Results were great. I don't know how he was able to hire such a phenomenal staff, but he has definitely picked from the cream of the crop. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The first medical professional to ever make me cry. My dental procedure went very smoothly but I was treated horribly by the staff. I was quoted a price prior to the service and upon completion went to check out and was very surprised at the difference on my bill. Recovering from my extraction had left me a little disorientated and I was questioning the discrepancy. The Office Manager was absolutely awful to me; rude, abrasive and downright nasty. I paid my bill and attempted to inform the dentist about her appalling behavior and he skirted right past me ignoring my attempt to engage him. I found out later that the office manager was in fact his wife. I never write reviews for businesses but this truly was a horrible experience and worthy of sharing. read more

If you're looking for above average cleanings and diagnostics, this is the place. If you're scared of the dentist, and/or have an unusual issue, this is the place! If you want integrity and realism regarding your treatment options, this is the place. It had been a while since I saw a dentist. I felt like I was shelling out money and not getting much. My husband had a solid experience with Dr Nick and talked me into a cleaning. I was scared going into it but... I enjoyed my cleaning! It wasn't painful! And it caused me to step up my self care bc I left with knowledge and feeling pro-active with my teeth. (The goodie bag afterwards has the neatest toothbrush head travel cap that is anti-microbial.) I have a funky tooth that is actually 2 fused teeth and looks like a V. A past dentist put some bonding on it but the bonding was scratchy and missed parts, made it hard to floss and has led to decay. I had been ignoring it bc that dentist made me feel there wasn't much else to do. Dr Nick is ahead of the curve with science and artistry. He is also honest and considerate of economics, value, and long term benefit. He got right in and took care of this funky tooth. He cleaned the decay and saved as much of the teeth as he could and shaped an inlay, matched the tone of my teeth in color and put it in perfectly. It's a major improvement. The process was nearly painless and looks like a real, beautiful tooth now. They used a topical anesthetic before the shot and I didn't feel the shots. While this inlay process was happening, Dr Nick also completed air abrasions on two teeth and a cavity clean out and composite fill on another. There's no silver fillings here, it's all white and your teeth look beautiful afterwards. AND he checked my bite afterward with his Tscan (not bite paper which is like 20% accurate) and made sure the composites were the right height and would not affect my bite and jaw. Then I got to pet the adorable therapy dogs that hang at the office, which is the most soothing way to end a dental visit. His staff are all very knowledgable and fun to talk with. Bottom line- Dr Nick and his staff got me to enjoy the dentist, made it painless, time effective, and made me feel very happy with my teeth. My husband had his DTR and two root canals 3 days before our wedding and Dr Nick gave us the best wedding present: no more mouth guard at night and pain level down to a 3 from an 8. We don't even live in Arkansas! We just come visit to see Dr Nick. read more

I have had TERRIBLE experiences here. The first time I went here they tried to take all new x-rays that weren't covered by my interest because they didn't get my records from my previous dentist after I asked them to TWICE. They were just trying to get more money. They also never informed me that I was out of network, even though I asked repeatedly. Dr. Nick informed me I had a small cavity but he had extra time and could fix it same day (before I could figure out that my insurance wasn't covering all of this). I've never even had a cavity before and had no pain so who even knows if I really needed the filling. They are such scam artists it's unreal. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Seriously, BEST dentist I've EVER been to. Dr Nick is a no-bullsh*t lifesaver. So I'm in town for this work function this week. Here I am, crunching down on pieces of ice from my drink like a moron, trying to stay awake during one of these ridiculous performance meetings. When all of the sudden, the freaking ice BROKE my freaking tooth! If you've never felt this before, it feels like you've been shot in the face by nine men with heavy machine guns. After determining that I was likely going to survive, I called my wife back in Texas to figure out what I needed to do. She told me that I could set an appt for when I got back home (in a WEEK!) or I could find a dentist in Rogers. I wasn't about to wait a week with this, so she found Dr Nick online. Apparently, he's got some pretty awesome videos posted on youtuve and has awesome ratings. THANKFULLY Dr Nick was able to squeeze me in this afternoon. I swear, here's the best part. So not only does it feel like I was shot in the face, but my wife tells me to expect things to suck for several days because the standard dental practice is to ship out a mold of my broken tooth for some factory to make a crown for it, then I have to come back days later to get the thing installed, like it's a new alternator. And if it wasn't done right by the factory, I may have to have the thing sent back! Not something I was looking forward to at all... BUT! THANK GOD that isn't how Dr Nick runs his shop. This guy has a milling machine RIGHT THERE IN HIS OFFICE. The Dr literally DESIGNED my tooth right there in front of me, then I got to watch this machine, like it was the Forge of Creation, bring forth and manifest my brand new tooth. Dr Nick made that tooth specifically for me, and I walked out of there tonight with everything feeling awesome. I didn't even know that was a thing. My usual dentist back at home doesn't do this. I'm not a dentist, but I think that's cool as hell. How come I've never heard of this? So Dr Nick is a miracle worker. I can't say enough good things about him. I think my grandma said she needs some dental stuff done. I'm seriously going to tell her to check out Dr Nick. Anyways. Excellent new dentistry service in Rogers. Dr. Nick and his staff are first-rate and very personable. They seem to know the ins and outs of their craft exceptionally well. As an analogy for how seriously Dr. Nick takes treatment, he was even speaking to me about the special floor treatment in his offices, apparently the same as in an Operating Room to create a sterile field and then said that carpet/traditional tile can harbor bacteria and lead to potential cross-contamination between patients. While I have no idea how much of a risk this is it was nice to know he had thought of such detail. Would highly recommend and suggest getting an appointment early, they just opened and I'm sure their calendar will fill up fast. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Nick since he was in Ridgedale/ Branson ,Missouri . Even at age 17 I knew he was exceptional . He discovered my first cavity and fixed it within minutes and to this day the filling is still in tact. Dr. Nick is not only professional but passionate , he cares just as much about the overall health and well being of people as he does their oral health. Had head aches for years and was told I grind my teeth and needed to wear a biting night guard. For years I didn't sleep well with the guard in and my head aches continued. After meeting Dr. Nick he educated me about alignment and my bite. Dr. Nick built a full scale model of my mouth with x-ray's and scans, showing me exactly where my teeth hit and what was out of place etc. Six months since my first visit I have NO head aches, I wear NO night guard and my teeth are naturally re-aligning and my bite is almost back to normal. This was my second visit to this dentist. Before the last visit, I hadn't been to a dentist in 7 years. I liked it so much that I actually followed through with my follow-up appointment. My second appointment was even better than my last. I'm not talking about the fact that my teeth and gums were in better shape, because they were. I'm talking about my dental hygienist. Her name was Lauren. I don't remember her last name. Basically, at Dr. Nick's, you don't see him much if you are there for a routine visit. Lauren was my dental hygienist and treated me like a rock star from when she came to get me in the lobby, to when I left. She talked my head off and I could see that she actually cared about me. I couldn't even respond to most of her conversation because her hand was in my mouth but it was pretty cool to have a personal experience rather than a robot working on my teeth. I would definitely recommend this dentist and hopefully you get lucky and get Lauren!!! read more

Ever since I got out of braces, ten years ago, my jaw has been bothering me. I always woke up in the morning with a really sore jaw and sometimes it even hurt to open my mouth. I was told by previous dentists that I should probably stop chewing gum and steak.... yes, I could live without gum and steak but I was still hurting all the time and that didn't fix the problem. In October I was seen by Dr. Nick Yiannios. I told him my symptoms and to my surprise, he didn't tell me to stop chewing gum or eating steak. He explained to me that my bite was off. He used this device called the T Scan that is linked up to the computer with a sensor and shows exactly where my bite is off and by how much. Then he used electrodes on my jaw to show us how my muscles where being over worked since my bite was so off. I was in his chair for about thirty minutes and I could already feel a difference. At first my bite felt weird but then I realized it was because my teeth are now all touching as they naturally should. It took about a week for me to get used to my bite but I already noticed my jaw muscles were starting to relax more. I had jaw pain so bad that it made my neck hurt. I was just dealing with it because I thought I had to. Four months ago Dr. Nick changed my bite. I no longer clench at night and wake up with a sore jaw. My neck hasn't felt this good in so long. I would recommend anyone who suffers from any kind of jaw pain or even neck pain. Please don't think that you have to just deal with it or that you can't chew gum or eat steak because I can. read more
