This is a hidden gem at our beach vacation! We were looking for a good lobster roll (beach tradition) and saw all the great Yelp reviews. No kidding, this is a spectacular lobster roll. Simple, without celery, etc. Just a warm, toasted bun, lined with iceberg lettuce and piled high with huge chunks of chopped lobster claw-- packed with the good stuff. The portion sizes are humongous. Plain mac and cheese and chicken fingers for the kids were a hit. Hubby got fried shrimp and haddock-- just delicious. Easily 1500 calories per plate (more for the fried platter), so plan on bringing some home as leftovers! The service was fast and friendly. It doesn't look like you would expect on arrival (signs for pizza dominate the front), but don't be deterred. I will come back here again and again. read more

One of the biggest menu selections I've ever seen. Unless you know exactly what you want, I would give yourself some time to decide. As soon as my dad saw the lobster mac and cheese he knew he had to try it and I opted for the grilled chicken club with French fries. After talking with him for a minute or two we learned it's a family business run by him and his dad and brothers and they have seven locations! I can see why! Anthony the owner brought our food to us and as soon as we saw it we knew it was going to be good. The lobster mac and cheese was a huge portion as well as the grilled chicken club. My dad gets mac and cheese almost everywhere he goes and he said this was the best he's ever had! His face lit up. My club was delicious as well, like another review mentioned I wished we had more time in the area or had one where we live. After reading the reviews, I would've loved to tried the pizza. After complimenting Anthony on the food and asking for to go boxes, he told us he had dessert coming for us! What a surprise. He brought a heaping portion of bite sized cinnamon rolls with icing on the side. With very full bellies, my dad and I could only eat a few but now we left with even more food than we started out with! It was absolutely delicious! If you love Nick's Pizza & you've never ordered their pizza on a Monday night, DON'T! There's a reason its discounted beginning at 4PM on Mondays. Its a totally different quality. Not only is it smaller - my guess is it's pre-made frozen dough. How can I begin to describe that you would think you got it at a totally different place! Its dry, hardly any toppings and tasteless, like a piece if cardboard. What a disappointment. I'd rather they didn't offer a discount on Monday's so you could get a decent delicious pizza. This place has gone down hill recently. Every time we order food it is cold and seems as though they have changed most of the recipes. Stopped here Saturday after a day in Newburyport. Fast, friendly service and absolutely the best food I've had in a looong time! I had trouble deciding from the extensive menu so I asked what was the most popular...chicken kabob served in a fresh roll with L, T, O and feta cheese, with dressing on the side. I got the small and for me it was huge and I ate the whole thing because it was the moistest and most delectable chicken kabob I've ever eaten! The French fries and cookies were also so so great. The food is great, but the system for placing orders has got to be THE WORST I've ever experienced. They need to get rid of whatever computer system they use. Old school is the way to go. Items are also often forgotten. You must be patient to place an order. I never know whether I want to hang up or laugh. My suggestions when calling: Keep it SIMPLE. No extras. No sides. Nice surprise. We were staying at the State Park Campground in Salisbury and wanted to find a place to take the family to eat out after a nasty storm. We asked one of the regulars at the park and they recommended Nick's. When we got there my daughter was reluctant to eat there because she thought it looked like a hole in the wall kind of place. To me that usually means "Good grub" so we stayed, and we're glad we did. The service was super friendly, the menu has something for everyone (including a vegan who was with us), and the food was tasty. They brought us out a Greek salad as an unexpected appetizer, which was thoughtful and good. Our group ordered a Hawaiian pizza, a gluten free veggie pizza (delicious crust), steamed broccoli, a calzone, and chicken strips (those were dry). Have been going to Nick's for a few years. Their large pizzas and subs used to be awesome. Returned from Florida and just ordered a large pizza. While the service was good, the pizza has shrunk, the toppings were sparse and put on after pizza was made. The cheese was also sparse and the crust definitely has changed. It wasn't bad but it was not the Nick's we loved. New owners? If so. They are missing the mark. Very dissappointed read more

Ordered a pizza online and was given an estimate of 45-60 minutes. After waiting 75 minutes I tried to get an update on my order, but was put on hold and no one ever returned. The pizza finally did arrive after 1.5 hours. It was cold as ice. The cheese has hardened. There were hardly any toppings on the pizza (and after paying $1.50 extra per topping, you'd think they'd be a little more generous with the toppings). Had a big stack of "wrong" menus on counter . Server brought over a supposed bigger piece of fish, not the fries we wanted off the basket . Haddock was either over cooked or frozen also .
