Everyone knows Nicola Cerini's hand bags, even if they don't know they know them. I knew them, and I know nothing of handbags, yet when my lady friend pointed them out, I knew that I knew them. They're the pretty prints with a bit of a plastic cover and they're all very colourful. You know you know them.
Cerini's downsized her shop (now in the uber creepy Mercator Building at Abbotsford Convent) and now deals largely over the web. The studio now is more of a browse before you buy type set up, though they still have plenty of stock for sale there too.
In addition to the bags and purses and fashion prints and the likes, she's now branched out into rugs. I went to an exhibition of her rugs and they are simply beautiful -- striking prints on soft wool. Her website is pretty kick arse, so you should check 'em out. Or, better still, drop down to the Convent and check out the space. read more
