lamb merguez sausage sandwich, beverly burger
Bethany L.

great service and in a nice quiet spot in the 5th story of the beverly mall. overlooking a view of LA! The food was ok, nothing special- got the lamb merguez sausage sandwich (19$) , small portion for the price. the le beverly burger (20$) was better but also not worth 20$ without fries included. LA prices but not nearly the best in LA- you can see the single lettuce and tiny sausage portion in the sandwich.

Caesar Salad with added Salmon

We went shopping at Beverly Center Mall on Sunday and had lunch at Nicolas Eatery, since it's located inside the mall. The restaurant is on Level 6, near Bloomingdale's Court, and offers a great view of Hollywood and DTLA. We tried the Caesar Salad with added Salmon ($16 + $14), which was great! I loved the salmon--it wasn't salty at all and was very tasty. The Tuna Burger with added Fries ($17 + $5) was also great; the tuna was fresh, and the fries were delicious. The Thuy's Pho with Beef ($24) was okay for me, as the broth was a bit too salty for my taste. The Crème Brûlée ($12) was amazing! We absolutely loved it--it was so good and a must-try! The service was great, and our server was really friendly! We will definitely recommend Nicolas Eatery to our friends and will visit again to try more dishes and desserts!

Hamburger with grilled onions and French fries

Right off the escalator as you enter the 6th floor of the Beverly Center on the Bloomingdale's side this little cafe has a beautiful view facing east. Food is pretty good - we had the their hamburger with fries and their crispy chicken sandwich. Their menu is simple, easy for a quick bite. Service was friendly and casual making the whole experience a nice pleasant surprise.

Located on the sixth floor at the Beverly center with amazing service and really great lighting and views of LA. Started off with the bread and butter for $6 which was salty, warm, and delicious. The steak frites was good but they did put this red wine sauce on top which I wish it was on the side. Amazing service so warm, welcoming and friendly.

Came in after the Apple Store. This place is in the 6th floor near Bloomingdale's. Great view from the window side . Clear eve can see all the way to downtown. Literally no one else here . I bet they do better at lunch on sat and Sunday. 5 pm on a Friday, not so much. Ordered the steak frites , with a side salad . Medium rare. For the price point, Iwas anticipating something kinda good. Well, I guess it was fine. I do like medium rare, but the meat was a little bit too rare for even me. however, I ate it all.. not sold on the wine sauce, but I just like au poivre too much. side salad was decent. It had kind of a funny little horseradish flavor in the dressing. Fries were on point. It was a good meal. Service was friendly.

Seafood Pasta

Today I had the seafood pasta and there were so many things wrong with it. First, the portion was tiny! If a seafood pasta is going to cost $29, it needs to be w larger. There was an overcooked sliver of salmon laid on top of salty pesto noodles and three overcooked shrimp. The shrimp was so overbook the burnt skin was inedible. I hoped that dessert would make up for the meal, but all they had was a cookie and chocolate croissant, which was over microwaved so the chocolate was overcooked. The service was friendly. The ambiance was chill. The food needs work.

Love this place! I think this place is under rated. Me and my family love coming here. Great food -everything tastes good here with top notch service. :) My son loves coming here! His favorite is cheese burger & French onion soup

Steak Frites

I stumbled upon this place as I was shopping at the mall. It is located inside the Beverly Center Mall. I just have to give it the best review. Their service, our waiter took care of us so well and answered all of our questions. The food was fantastic. We tried the Ceasar Salad, and all I could say is that its one of the best ones I have ever had. Also, the Steak frites. The sauce and the tenderness were A+. The location in the mall is really great, its nestled in one of the best corners of the mall and it works perfectly when you need a break and some good moments.

Outstanding service! Very pleasant seating area with a great view. Got chicken salad sandwich. It was tasty!

Beautiful restaurant on the top floor of the Beverly Center. Service was great, and her food was made to order quickly. We really enjoyed the salmon as well as the eye, not a huge fan of the chicken as it was dark meat. The salads and fries here are tasty as well and they have some nice cocktails on their menu. Great views, and not too busy, great dining, optional shopping at the mall!

French Onion Soup & Chardonnay
Swati L.

Phenomenal French Onion soup. I tried both white wines by the glass and they were both beautiful examples of French wine, the only Chardonnay I can drink! Service was warm and attentive and the had Portlandia playing on the tv at the bar, so I was a happy camper and left satisfied and ready to shop and stroll.

A quaint and charming french restaurant in Malibu. The servers were all friendly, replenishing our water changing our plates and utensils around, and even putting on romantic (how?) birthday music just discreet enough not to be embarassing but joyful on my occasion... hehe). Definitely knew how to make a girl feel special with a delightful creme brulee at the end. Bibb salad was awesome. If I ate this everyday I'd be satisfied and healthy. It's no wonder the French look so great. The bread had a little kick which was good for me, not great for my date. Olive spread was a little on the salty end. Chicken was good. Would have gotten the moules frite but they ran out of mussels. had the lobster roll as well, and I was that impressed with that to be honest...lobster meat was ample but the consistency and taste just didn't fit well with the bread. It was probably the bibb salad dressing. Their fries were good!

First time at this place and I really liked it, the food and the drink was really good, the service was excellent and atmosphere was very nice, it's so fun to seat by the window on a beautiful day and enjoy good food and drinks, if you in the Beverly center I highly recommended

The pho noodles here are distinctly wider than most of the other pho spots. The broth was delicious and it was a very satisfying pho although there could have been a few more slices of beef. My dining mates that had the banh mi were also happy with their choices and the one that had the Spring Rolls felt it was sufficient enough to be a meal. Service was attentive and quick. Given the choice between inside and the patio we chose the patio which has be bit more vibe. Parking can be a bit of a challenge. There is metered parking on both sides of La Brea and some parking can be found in the residential neighborhood adjacent. All round good choice for Vietnamese food in the area.

There were allegedly no tables available so we were told to put our names down. We waited about 7-10 mins and were sat. We each ordered the House Pho since it seemed to be the most popular dish, as well as an order of Spring Rolls. The waiter who was attending to us repeated our order which was (2) bowls of House Pho, Spring Rolls, and (2) beverages. When the food came out we only received one of the Pho dishes and one beverage. We asked to follow up on our additional soup and beverage only to the waited to tell us that we had only ordered one soup dish and one drink. We were very confused since he had repeated the order to us before sending it to the kitchen. The soup itself was lukewarm and flavor of the broth wasn't necessarily extraordinary. Similar to what others have written, it lacked flavor and tasted watered down. Pho should be packed with flavor and hot. The quality of meat was okay, but don't think I'll be going back. I wish I had nicer things to say about this place, but everything was disappointing. TLDR; overhyped, lacks flavor, and overpriced.

Now we always end up ordering the same favorites every time, the chicken spring rolls, banh mi tacos, and the filet mignon pho. Everything we've tried has been so good. It was a little before noon and there was only one party in the whole restaurant. We got seated right away and it was by the front window for everyone to see. The menu had a lot of options and priced like all other places or I'm just getting used to the prices these days. They did have a lunch special for $20 and you can get a small pho, and then some other choices and then a drink. I couldn't tell you what the other choices were because I didn't order it. The waitress was efficient and got the job done. She did get a little overwhelmed since after 1230pm, everyone decided to grab lunch. Here's what we ordered: lunch special with small bowl of beef pho, a beef banh mi and unsweetened black tea. The hubs said that his pho was decent, the flavor was simple and didn't have that deep rich flavoring like other pho bowls he has had. The banh mi had great bread and the filling was pretty flavorful. The black tea was good. I had the build your own pho because I have to have vegetable broth but I added in chicken meatballs and shrimp. The broth was pretty tasteless so I had to add in some hoisin sauce, and sriracha. There were other condiments but I was too lazy to grab it from the other table. That helped out with the soup. The chicken meatballs were questionable as in I wasn't sure if it was chicken. There were plenty of shrimp and they added pieces of chicken. The noodles had a nice chew to them. Overall the pho was okay but it didn't hit the pho craving/spot. We also ordered pork egg rolls and they were interesting. They weren't crunchy at all. It was a bit oily and at one point, I wasn't sure if a part of it was cooked. There was more other filling than meat. The nuoc mam tasted like watered down fish sauce. I guess I was so hungry that I didn't mind it. Overall, the food was just okay. Nothing exciting to report and unfortunately I wouldn't go back.

The spot was mostly empty when my girlfriend and I arrived for dinner around 5:30pm on a Saturday. Each dish was colorful, had great presentation, and nice portions for the price. The pho we ordered was spicy level hot and did have well done broth and a good amount of sliced steak. The protein was tender, and the veggie toppings added great elements of minty crunch and herbal delight. I enjoyed my combination noodles. The bowl had a good mix of vegetables and a few types of protein ( chicken, pork, fried egg roll, and shrimp ) it was awesome! The spring rolls were terrific as well. The peanut sauce had some nut crumbles for texture which had subtle crunch with every spring role bite. The vermicelli with nem nuong and egg rolls comes with a slab of meat and a whole egg roll. The bottom are the noodles and mix of veggie and herbs.
