I needed to get some forms notarized and was willing to drive all the way out to Sooke to get them done because my aunt is a notary out there and could do them for me for free... But driving an hour each way to have a few forms signed and stamped seemed a little bit excessive and we both agreed that the time wasn't exactly worth the money saved. She referred me to a friend of hers, Vienna Kappell, in Victoria to get the work done. I called to make an appointment for the next day and the receptionist on the other end, Hilary, was super bubbly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful, giving me a wide range of times to choose from. When the next day came around, I was running errands and didn't account for traffic, so I ended up getting to the office a few minutes late. There was someone with an appointment after me who was waiting, so Vienna was helping them out and we essentially swapped appointment times. Notarizing my forms was quite a simple process and we were done in about 5 minutes, chatting the whole time. It came up that I was referred by my aunt, who Vienna had previously worked with, and she actually decided to provide the service free of charge!! Quick note(-ary): Credit is not accepted as payment here, so remember to bring either cash or a debit card!
