Honestly I was quite hungry but this was a lacklustre meal, I had the chicken and seafood special. The chicken was precooked and re-grilled chicken steak with a huge portion of chips, three crumbed prawns which tasted like oil and a very basic salad that you could buy in a premix bag from the supermarket and three small piece of calimari which was like a big ball of chewing gum. The Chips were really good, probably why the portion is so big in hopes that you will fill up on them and you won't complain about a poorly portioned meal. I wouldn't eat or try that again. The food seemed better last year. Not sure if it was because of what I ordered, or the bad avocado's on my wife's schnitty. The Kids meal however was great, the amount of stuff they have for kids to do while waiting for dinner was amazing. Colouring mats, stickers, light up watch, kids play area..... The staff were regularly seen to be cleaning, and the decor seemed to be well looked after. There is NO eftpos at the Bistro bar...only at the public bar. read more

I haven't been for a while but highly recommend the Tuesday night game show style trivia, so much fun and great bistro prizes if you win a round. But arrive early to get a seat. Plenty of parking available as it shares a car park with Dan Murphys. The bistro itself can be a bit pricey unless you get the special of the night or the ladies and tradies lunch but the serves are great and my friends and family have always enjoyed. Yes this is a child friendly place they have an indoor child play area with a tv which plays movies as well as a macca's style playground. The kids meals are great value. (If your child wants to sit down eat instead of play, mine generally doesn't lol) On a Sunday they have a jumping castle out the front. Drinks are average prices from what I can gather and there is a pokie area with free refreshments tea coffee etc. The staff here are always friendly and helpful, also the service is quick even in busy periods and all areas including bathroom kept clean and tidy. In the sports bar area I noticed a few pool tables but not sure what else they have. I noticed they promote the cover bands and rock shows they have but I haven't been to any shows. read more
