as an former employee I would say it's very stressful environment. The manager Paul Nigito jr. is very disrespectful not only to his employees but to his tenants as well. This Company is the WORST. Management does not return calls. They violated my lease from the get-go by not providing appliances expressly written as promised in the lease. Tenants chain smoke in their apartments and hallways. (Health hazard) Hallways are littered with furniture and garbage. Drunk and cracked-out residents and transients crawling around the hallways and banging on doors at all hours. Walls are paper thin. Police and EMS there on a daily basis dealing with issues (crime, overdoses, domestic issues, break-ins) Laundry room leaks water and feces. Utility sink continually backs up from faulty plumbing and overflows with feces and floods the hallways. (Health hazard to residents). Abandoned vehicles with no plates throughout the parking lot. Joe and John (manager and broker) do not return phone calls nor address issues. Dirt, mud, dead bugs (roaches) smeared on hallway walls. Carpet in hallway reeks of urine and smoke and is from 1950. All commercial units on first floor vacant -- no one wants these units because they are filthy and there is no management. Nigito, you should be ashamed of yourselves. read more

Unfortunately you have to choose a minimum of one star to post your review. Before I start, if I could give zero or negative stars, I would as everyone else who has posted. You can sum this business up in 3 simple words. The Absolute Worst. Don't waste your time looking at their properties. They increase rent yearly with no reasoning. They don't do anything to update, maintain their properties. This is a business clearly looking to make a buck with no concern for the tenant. You won't see or hear a positive remark or review from anyone who has dealt with Nigito. Take all of our advice and move on, you can do much better. Hope this helps read more

Absolutely horrific place. The black mold in the bathroom has given me and my daughter a terrible cough. They charge late fee for rent that is handed to them on time. Let me expound on this: they were charging me an extra $75 each month claiming my rent was late. I couldn't fathom this so I decided to go in person to hand my check in! Guess what I found out? They take your check and clear it on a later date on purpose to charge you a late fee. I have proven it and this time I have my receipt and bank statement to show. I use to send the check on time through the post office and they told me they got it at a much later date than when I "claim" I sent it. I said okay let me go in person to give it and long and behold they take a while to take it out of my bank account so that they can charge their late fee. May the Most High see the wickedness of these people. In addition the rodents crawl on my stove omg I am traumatized! There's too much to say about them and it's all bad. I live in a building Nigito manages...I have lived here 10 years and they took over 1 1/2 years ago. The building is not maintained, common areas rarely cleaned and we lose hot water 2-3 times a month!! No one answers the phones and when they do issues are never taken care of! It's amazing how easily they could destroy a really great, clean and efficient property in under a year. Disgusting management, terrible people skills...if there was a picture in the dictionary next to "slum lord" it would be Nigito. read more

333 Park St. Apt. 19 - If I could rate negative stars, I would. Save yourself boat loads of trouble, stress & money and do not EVER EVER rent from these people! EVER!! I moved in and had 3 cabinets in the kitchen -after a few months noticed food boxes were all moldy, next thing I discover is the ENTIRE. KITCHEN. WALL. is covered in black mold that I was breathing in for months! They fix the wall, and then replace the cabinets with only 2, they never responded about giving me a 3rd cabinet back like I had when I moved in, so for 2 years I had to store my groceries on the floor...while paying the same rent. Nice. My apartment would leak from the window EVERY. TIME. it rained - the wall was soft & mushy, and probably about to collapse in on itself. Did they ever come and look at it? No, of course not. It's probably leaking from the roof through the whole building. Your apartment will be infested with bugs, as well as the hallways and stairways. Oh, and during a pandemic lockdown they will raise rent AND security deposits without giving ANY NOTICE to anybody in the building (which is ILLEGAL!). I spoke to the super about this, who called the realty co, and he was told by them to tell me to pay my original rent amount and ask them about the increase when they're office opened because of the virus, and when I move out, they're asking for a balance of $50. Ha! And to top it all off, when you do get so fed up with living in a disgusting slum that's falling apart, you can hand write them a 2 page front and back 30 day move out notice letter and deliver it to the office yourself, and they will still tell you that you never gave them notice of move out and YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK!!!!! FYI: My rent check was placed INSIDE my folded handwritten letter, so they will always get your money, but they won't get anything else, so they say, and they'll try to make you out to be a liar while they scam you. (Nobody forgets writing a 4 PAGE LETTER detailing why you are moving out, sorry but it just doesn't happen) STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! They should lose their licenses, they're slum lords and it's not worth the cheap rent to live in filth and bugs. Trust me when I tell you, you'll be happier and more at peace paying a little bit more in rent to NOT live here. Dishonest. Nigito Realty should be investigated. Nigito is taking advantage of people. They tell you to pay them thousands of dollars up front and they constantly ask you sneaky questions about your finances. Nigito is shady. Then the guy adds more and more charges and he knows you're a low-income person. I know all the realtors are suddenly starting to do that to everybody in New Jersey and especially in northern New Jersey but Nigito seems to go after the low-income people who are already suffering the most. Always report these people. You need to always name them which is sometimes referred to as "name and shame". My relative is a northern NJ realtor and she told me realtors now must to pretend you are a good candidate for a place but really they're just collecting your financial info which is reported to fraudulent debt collectors and criminal hackers. In the US we don't have any protections from financial predators but in all the other nations those government have strict privacy protections for all their citizens. Remember: You have no protections from financial predators here in the US. Don't do any business with Nigito. read more

First time using Yelp just to say how awful they are. Fuck Nigito and stay away. By far the worst landlord I have ever dealt with. Don't be 4 days late or they'll send you with a $500+ bill attached with a court summons without even contacting you first. Apartments are dirty and management is awful. read more

The building I had lived in had roaches and bed bugs. Realtor said before I moved in that they had no problems with bugs. They expect the rent on time, but routinely do no pay their contractors who do work at their buildings! Avoid this property mgt co. a dog kennel would be an upgrade to their buildings. read more

The building is infested with mice and roaches. They keep blaming the hospital, but in reality they just don't care and do not want to properly exterminate. The entire building needs to be sealed and exterminated from inside out. The company is fast to collect rent due, but very slow to fix the issue. I will never recommend Nigito. read more
