I purchased a pair of sneakers online and sadly they did not fit my feet. I called customer support and they informed me that I can return them at any Nike location. I drove 15 minutes to Pasadena and the sales rep told me that the sneakers were too expensive and they could not accept the return. What???? The exact reason was that accepting the return would lower their in-store sales conversions as they would probably have a hard time selling them($350 plus tax). So I guess the store's bottom line numbers matter more than a consumer's experience. More-so, I was just following the instructions on the bottom of my receipt and confirmed it with 2 Nike.com CSRs. Now I have to lug the box back to my car that is parked 2 blocks away(they don't have a parking lot) and send them out through UPS. FML... read more

Stopped by this Nike store after the holidays to make some returns and was disappointed by the terrible customer service. First off, I didn't have receipts for two gifts and the store didn't have the same items to exchange for a different size. So, I asked for store credit, knowing we would get the lowest sale price on the item. However, I've never heard of a store requiring me to use the credit in the store immediately. What sense does this make? I also observed a customer coming in to exchange an item for a different size. He bought some pants at a different Nike store and just needed a different size for an item they had in stock. The store manager told the guy, since he didn't have his receipt, they would give him the lowest sales price for the item and he'd have to pay the difference for the full price item in store. Again what sense does this make? Nike's return policy mentions store managers can use their discretion with returns. From the examples above, both involving the store manager, this is clearly a store I will not return to due to the horrible customer service and return policies. read more

I enjoy coming to Nike Running Pasadena, the girls (Ashley, Selica, and Alex) their are always helpful. They are very knowledgeable about the shoes/clothings technology. The store is always up to date with the latest running/training/lifestyle shoes. You definitely can not go wrong with Nike's 30 day return policy. If you don't like a shoe you purchased after you ran in them a couple times. The profile should be labeled Nike "Running" Store, as it is not a Nike Town. There's a big difference depending on what you're looking for. I was happy to see they were opening a Nike store in Old Town- I assumed it would be a Nike Town. I visited the location expecting a NT and was disappointed. I visited the store looking for a specific shoe that is not in high demand. I'm pretty sure I'd have no problem finding it at a NT, however this store is only for runners. I rated three stars because it's a decent looking store and they seem well equipped to meet the runners needs. I'm a runner, so when I am in need of running shoes I won't hesitate to return. So, I realize this is my second review of this store but we all know Nike has great products and we all know it's a worldwide brand so that's easy to talk positive about BUT the Nike Retail Store in old Pasadena has the BEST customer service there is. The Management must be tip top because the staff there really truly loves their jobs - it shows as they help each and every customer in the store. I wanted to recognize the staff simply because no matter who helps me out, they are always GREAT - I mean friendly, helpful, they make solid and trust worthy recommendations and most of all they know the products and the technology in the shoes. Yea Im a show real so I visit the store way to much but oh well - at least they know me there... Customer service was great! Too bad I'll never purchase a Nike product. In order to get "free shipping on a return" you have to be a Nike member. I tried returning an item spoke to customer service I got a return label went to the post office just so they could charge me $45 for shipping (yeah, I was not about to spend that) I called customer service again and they told me to go to a Nike store to do a free return. Drove 40 minutes just to find out I couldn't make the return. Called customer service was placed on a 20 min hold I was told I was getting a free shipping label and the idiot sent me the exact same shipping label as before. The store manager went out of his way and printed me a free shipping label, and shipped the item. I wish I didn't have a bad experience but Scott and Jordan were extremely helpful and cordial. If you come to this facility ask for them! They're here to help and we're genuinely pleased and sorry for the experience I had even though it was not their fault. read more

Came in today with every intention to get a pair of new running shoes. I walked around, picked up shoes, and spent some time standing there with no one to offer help. None. So since I got no help to try on the sizes I needed, I walked out without buying any. I then went down the street to New Balance. I was greeted and helped immediately by very friendly sale associate. I bought my shoes and some workout outfit as well from them. Customers service is everything and I am very disappointed with my visit to Nike's today. read more

first off, a great place for your Nike running essentials, expect to pay a lot for the quality they put in their items! sad to say though, their customer service was not very pleasing...i was expecting a high quality service for their high quality products they sell to us. i was not once greeted when i entered the store by any of the associates (i believe 8 were on the floor.) so i proceeded to the clothing section, i still wasn't acknowledged by anyone...i then headed to the shoe section and finally i was approached and greeted after 10 mins of being in there... overall their selection wasn't really deep and styles were eh... on a positive note, if you are looking for Nike shoes, there is a store further east on colorado called Neo 39, better selections for both men and women and better customer service, because customer service is what reflects the store and brand! i will be taking my business to them instead! read more

Came in to buy a long sleeve running shirt. Was greeted at the door by several staff and Mario who was manning the men's section was tremendously helpful. He helped me pick out a shirt and explained the different types. I didn't want the floor colors but he mentioned they just got a shipment and opened up boxes to get me a bright color shirt. I give this location a value comparable to an epic fail! Called yesterday and explained my issue: I recently purchased 2 pairs of Epic React Flyknit shoes from the Grove location for myself and I would be in Pasadena today with my family. Further explained that, one of the pairs of shoes is defective with compromised integrity, clearly visible. Walked into the store today, explained to the female salesperson (very friendly) the situation, she explained she would need to get the manger approval. The manger (Mickey if I recall) explained "there is nothing we can do here, you need to go back to the Grove". I went on to explain the events that lead to my visit to the store today, which all fell on deaf ears of the manager (Mickey). We then exchanged addition information concerning the product which lead me to understand, this guy that has been in trusted with runing this location at this specific time, could care less about the customers that walk through the door. Through the entire time I shared communication with this man, he was extremely rude and condescending. Not sure if he was having a good day or if this is an everyday routine, no matter, if you're having a bad day you shouldn't come to work. My family runs through a lot of shoes with a majority of these shoe purchases happening at the Grove. Last year we visited Nike at the Grove more than a couple dozen times with upwards of 25 pairs of shoes purchased, that said, I will NEVER visit the Pasadena store again. I was so upset, I left that defective brand new pair of shoe at the store and asked salesperson to "donate the shoe to someone in need", I am hopeful they will do exactly that. Shame on Nike management for placing less than desirable, cut rate people at this retail store! There are plenty of good people out in the workforce that care about customers. read more

It's taken me well over a month to get back my refund on an item a store associate sent out for return on my behalf... starting to regret this decision. I LOVE this Nike store, the environment is friendly, the store itself is very clean and organized and the staff is beyond friendly and helpful. I went in rushing to exchange my boyfriends shoe size to surprise him and they found the shoe I had bought, guided me through the different sizing patterns for the style and exchanged for a new one. They were all very knowledgeable and quick to get me what I needed. Definitely recommend going to this Nike location if you need help with a shoe or for their wide selection of items! read more

The floor sales associate was very helpful and gave me some good tips on which shoe style would benefit me the most.

I came here to get some flat shoes for lifting weight/crossfit. The sales person was very knowledgeable about which shoes are good for which type of workouts, etc. Selection is great, especially for Nike clothing. Prices are full price retail though, so don't expect to find a deal. Let me start by saying the store is awesome in it's display of Nike merchandise. That's what will certainly get you in the door for sure. Their selections are nice and a good addition to your workout accessories. Now as for customer acceptance and feeling valued when you're considering giving this store your money is absolutely horrible. There is a point person who will gladly help you in a size and give some recommendations. Then there is the other staff lingering in the background wearing Nike merchandise that are giving you dagger looks and sizing you up as if an elephant just walked in the room. YAY NIKE! NOT! I went in today to return a sweater I got as a gift, and wow the store is beautiful, everything nike touches is a piece of heaven. The selection was actually not too impressive...but they, they have the basics. An employee approached me and asked how she could help and I explained to her that I was there to make return, or possibly and exchange. And she asked why and I told her 1) it was too big and 2) I might want to add a few more bucks and get shoes. So she insisted to check for my size, which I told her I wasn't interested in. But she did it anyway. And sure enough they didn't have it in my size, so then she says "ohh but we have it in a pink. Would you like to try the pink?" And I told her "it's ok i want to look around a bit" GEEZ LADY! NO MEAND NO! So I run away and go to the shoes, I love the Nike Roshe Runs and I think they are one of their most popular street wear shoes, so why wouldn't you load up your store with that? They only had 2 colors, none of which I was interested in. So I asked one of the sales reps if she could check online for the ones that I was interested in. She looked and couldn't find it, so I told her okay Ill just return my sweater for now. I told her that I wanted it credited back onto my husbands credit card, but that I didn't have it with me. And she assured me it was fine. I waited about 15 minutes for the register to clear up and finally it was my turn. She asked what card and I said it was my husbands AMEX she asks me for the card, and I said that I didn't have it and I had told her that earlier. And she said ohh thats right, let me see what i can do. She called for another associate who seemed a little more aware of how things work there, and he said sorry but we need the card. Why don't you guys get the credit on a nike card. I was so frustrated and told him "I would, but you guys don't have the shoes I want." He asked which shoes and it told him which ones and said the girl already checked and you don't have any in stock, so he tries to convince me to "personalize" the shoes. I told him i wasn't interested in paying double the price for basic gray roshes, and I had seen it at a foot locker, and maybe i would go check there. This guy became to offended, when I said that.
