The store in question is convenient, bright, well stocked and they do have a small sale section at the back. Honestly, each time I go in the people are really nice and very helpful. For example, I came in to buy a shoe lace a few months back, mine tore on the way in to downtown, and the manager just gave me one. I felt special all day! They open early and it is a pleasure to visit. Okay. Now I have convinced myself. I think I may buy more of their items this week!

It's difficult finding cute shoes for fairly big feet. I didn't find anything that I truly liked. My friend got a pair of Vans sneakers that were heavily marked down. You can get pretty decent deals. She wears a woman's size 8.5, so it's a good place to find shoes in half sizes. The store is clean and the shoes are neatly organized. There weren't too many staff members to ask you how you are doing. I don't mind that, especially when we were both browsing. I will probably re-rate this store when I actually purchase a pair of shoes here!

Peter was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, not just about Birkenstocks but even about feet. He made a very helpful assessment about my feet and recommended both the size and style that would work for me, also helping me learn more about preventing some potential challenges with my toe alignment. While I didn't end up leaving with a pair, mainly because I was indecisive about the style and color, I did leave with much more knowledge about Birkenstock and what to consider about footwear that would be best for me. My friend and her partner both left with a pair and also got fantastic help to determine the right size and style. I was particularly impressed how much service they provide around repairs and care. In the Heartland Outlet centre, you have a lot of choices of stores to go spend your money. Some…read moreof these stores are great as they're offering good deals and great service and others are just fake outlets with regular retail prices (points to Gap). Geox is the former. In most malls, Geox is a mid to high end brand that caters to the family. You can find men's business shoes, women's heels and flats, and kid shoes of all kinds (boots, running shoes, and formal dressier shoes). Often they're priced at $80++ for the kids shoes! but at this outlet, you can find deals galore and also a wide range of sizes. There's two parts to this outlet, the front section is just like the regular retail store. It shares the same current season offerings at regular price point. Sometimes you'll find a 'door crasher' in the centre upfront where some awesome deals can be found. The outlet area takes up about 60% of the floor space in the back. There you find relatively current (last seasons) items at 40 to 75% off the retail price. Often during the end of season sales, you'll have a greater reduction on those outlet shoes. I've gotten pair of shoes for 85% off at times or buy 2 and get a further 25% off! Considering these shoes are very well made and with great soft leathers, it's a steal to get them at those prices. I really also like the service. There's always at least 2 to 3 people here and they're constantly asking if you need help but not in an intrusive way. If you say you're fine, they back off but once you ask, they're always on the look out for you for alternative sizes and styles. Overall, I think it's one of the few places in Heartland that offer great shoe deals with good selection and a high quality product without feeling you're at a bargin bin store. As long as they keep up with the great season end deals (85% off!), I'll keep coming back.

Departments stores sizes sometimes start at 6 or even if they have 5, they'll be sold out. So, thank you! I just wish they made more styles per season. They usually have about 20-25 styles for the season, and that's not enough selection for me. I also wish their customer service was a bit more helpful, because the last time I called to check the status of my shipment, she said she had to call me back before giving me an answer... by the time she called back, I had already tracked it down myself by going through the local Canada Post. But I'd always come back because their products are excellent.
