Traditional Gyro and Greek-ified Sprite made with sugar instead of HFCS
    Amanda A.

I stopped in during a trip to the Saturday market in the village. This appears as a convenient location. There are three picnic size tables out front, but be aware on a hot weekend, the garbage smell may linger due to the location. For the food: we ordered a traditional gyro. The meat was flavorful but the gyro overall was lacking on the other ingredients. It needed more of the refreshing crunch (lettuce/onion) but did have enough sauce. As for the price, it felt a bit high considering it was a stand alone item. I can give credit that perhaps being right next to the village maybe the rents are high. Another +1 for how quick the food came out, but the staff were not welcoming or friendly in anyway. Kind of a bummer, but will definitely give another chance because everyone has their day. I did note that some folks at the other table had orders of salads and possibly a platter - they looked like healthy portions and down right delicious. I will be back with an update before the end of summer, and hopefully can incorporate this into my regular take out schedule. It has potential!

Also wish I didn't discover it my last night in town because I would have stopped in almost everyday. Huge selection - from health & beauty, dishes, alcohol, prepared food, and just about everything you can imagine from the food side (pantry and fresh). Large produce selection with a lot of items you can't easily find in an "everyday American" grocery store. I also loved they carried salad mixes. The meat and seafood area had great selection and was so clean and fresh! The pantry type items also had an incredible selection. I wish I could have stocked up on so many things. For a quick lunch or dinner, stop by and try some of their prepared food items - great selection and I felt reasonable prices. I loved browsing all the aisles and was so inspired to want to make a delicious meal. Since I was traveling, I could only pick up a few items! Hope when I return to leave some extra room in my suitcase. Great store!

There was a Shiitake Mushroom Spread I wanted to try that wasn't in the fridge that he wouldn't open and also I couldn't believe all he shared. I've never experienced so many samples in a store, before! I'd be in this store all the time if I lived here. I could tell he really cares about his mission. Oh look, they're online! Yay. I'm going to include the Shiitake spread because I just trust his selection. This place should have a neon sign. They've earned it!

I was planning to buy some more of the gochiso snacks and maybe another adventurous item, but my interaction was very unpleasant. As we're walking around, I noticed that people were sampling items by the cashier. I asked if we could sample something as well and the guy very condescendingly said that if we're "actually interested in buying something then we can sample" and the item had to be in a bottle or jar. I was caught off guard with that because he assumed we would not be buying something and was kind of ignoring us before. I brushed it off and asked if he possibly had samples of the gochiso snacks (which i knew were in a bag, but it is still a harmless question). He looked at me like i'm stupid and said "no, that's not in a bottle or jar". It was a very unpleasant interaction and I left the store immediately after feeling very uncomfortable. I will not be visiting again after that.
