It doesn't look like much when you pull up into the parking lot but the food was amazing!! We ate chocolate chip cookies and had their bacon, chicken, ranch pizza. We ordered a large and ate all but two pieces. It was so good. Highly, highly recommend this place!!! read more

This is a really small place. The food and service were great. My friend and I got the calzone and the lady taking our order immediately told us to just get one and split it because it was so big. This review is about two weeks overdue, life happens. Either way, i walked into Nimas looking to order food, with my toddler. Upon walking in there was an employee behind the counter, facing the wall with his phone (attached to the charger plugged into the wall). I approached the counter and assumed maybe he was deep in thought and figured i would wait another second or two, i wasn't in a hurry. Without putting his phone down, or even turning around, he asked what i needed. as good as their food can be, that right there turned me off for good. It wasn't busy, there was no one else inside, and it seemed that he could not be bothered to make eye contact with me. I hope whatever he was doing on his phone was worth ignoring a customer.. we more than likely will not be bad. too bad read more

It took over an hour to get two pizzas!!! Seriously- it takes 5 min to place toppings on already made dough, 10 min in a extremely hot oven= 15 min total to receive a cooked pizza. The management and staff are inadequately trained to handle amount of people over four tables and it is very obvious. When you know a lot of people are coming to your small town to see the ANNUAL hill cumourah pageant that has been happening for several decades, you should prepare the staff and restaurant for handling rushes especially when you are located in downtown Palmyra. Instead of making the situation better by giving some kind of appetizer to ravenous customers that are cranky for waiting over an hour for pizza, they were non-apologetic and did NOTHING to make the wait shorter. They put our pizzas in waaaay after at least four tables came and went. What was managements response- to give us a free pizza. While I appreciate the last minute effort, I think the whole situation could have been fixed waaay earlier. Foodwise, the pizza was decent but after waiting over an hour, any pizza would be good since you are sooo hungry. This place needs to get their BUSINESS together. Ordered a calzone for takeout and it was decent. I ordered pepperoni and sausage with the sauce on the side and it was fairly good. I would've ordered extra cheese if I knew they skimped on that end of things but the coarse salt they put on top was good flavor, yet some people could probably do without. For the pizza you take home to Mama, go to Trumansburg, NY and order ANYTHING from the NY Pizza Restaurant, right on Main Street next to the Rongovian Embassy. Fabrizio is the owner, comes from Italy, worked in Brooklyn and bought the restaurant from the previous (Italian, from Italy) owner who taught him all the secrets. This is NY Style pizza to die for. Stopped in here while cycling the Erie Canal trail. It is only a short 2 minute ride from the Canal Path and there is room to put your bike right in front where you can keep an eye on it. Typical pizza shop menu. We ordered calzone's which were not only delicious but HUGE. I was hungry enough to put one away, but my wife could only do half. The guy at the counter offered to wrap the other half in aluminum foil and put it in a take home box, so we could put it in our bike bags. We stored it in the fridge at the B&B we stayed at, and packed it up the next morning as we headed east. It really hit the spot for lunch. There are not many food options in Palmyra NY but we hit the jackpot with Nima's. We loved the food. We shared a salad to start, then pizza by the slice was next. Each slice was quite large. I loved the NY style crust that was a little crispy with each bite. Then came the Calzone. Since they said that was their specialty, we ordered one and were not disappointed! Staff was nice. Service was good. Food was excellent. Nima's has a "hole in the wall" feel to it which is fun! We will go back in future years on our family road trips! read more

So, let me say that I mean no harm to the good people that work here. However, I had a very displeasing experience today with the girl on the phone. I called to order for pick up, she says it will be thirty minutes. (Long time as it is) but I'm not impatient. I take off to go pick up the food. There's some event going on down the street from where the restaurant is and parking is nuts. She didn't mention that. But that's ok, maybe she assumed I would know. But apparently, I didn't. I take several minutes trying to get around all the road blocks to get to them and can't get there. So I call to have my food delivered instead. Again, not impatient. But then, she puts me on hold for 10 minutes! I can hear her chatting away with customers and coworkers; no care in the world. I am realizing she's forgotten about me. But like an idiot, stay on the phone a bit longer. I hang up cuz she is not even thinking about the phone at this point. I call back immediately and it's busy, busy and busy. For the next 5 minutes or so. Finally there's an answer. I tell her that I was left on hold for 10 minutes and she has the audacity to say, "oh sorry, I forgot and then the phone rang and we got like 5 orders just now." I'm trying to be polite but she's pushing it. I tell her that I can't get to the restaurant and she says there's parking in front of their place but I am not going back. I want it delivered. She so nonchalantly takes my address and says it will be "30 MORE minutes." No more apologies. So now I have to wait 45 minutes instead of 30 extra. And actually, I am writing this as I am waiting for the food and it's been 40 minutes. Terrible! Terrible service. She needs some manners and professionalism.
