The staff were so lovely and will let you sample multiple flavors, and the serving sizes for both the scooped and soft serve ice cream are very generous on top of them already being very well priced. It's really the best store with the best options, best prices, and friendliest service out of any of the stores I stopped by in Lake George Village. Really a gem. Friendly staff and service... you can sample the flavors before purchasing in case. Decide on one scoop or two, can't go wrong with 2 flavors. They also sell other treats as well besides ice cream... popcorn, cookies, beverages, etc. There are few tables and seat outside to sit and enjoy your treat as well. Otherwise, take it and go. We are in LG for vacation and my bday! Decided to try Nina's ice cream and it was amazing! Our server was Daniel and he was so friendly and helped us out with tasting various flavors. There were so many wonderful flavors it was hard to decide. Ultimately we chose mint chocolate chip, chocolate peanut butter, bittersweet coffee, cookie jar, and soft serve vanilla. We love Nina's! We go to Lake George at least once a year (family lives up that way). Nina's is a staple on our trips now. The kids love their cotton candy and cookie dough ice cream. What a cute little shop in LG Village. We got the 2 scoop and it was enough to feed share. The seating area outside is a nice little spot to stop, rest and people watch after walking around the village. We got the smores and the cookies and creme and both were scoop rich and creamy! Ice cream was ice cream. Mint chocolate chip had biggg chocolate pieces which I did enjoy. When I was ordering, I ordered a small mint chocolate chip in a cone. The lady taking my order, maybe Nina herself, not too sure, said a small is two scoops. Confused at what she was trying to say, I obliged. I only wanted a small. I have been craving ice cream and came upon this shabby place for ice cream. They have many flavors of ice cream. My favorite was the s'mores, pistachio and blueberry. I forgot to take a picture since I was being greedy and wanted to stuff my face. I finally realized I didn't take a picture until I was finished. This place also makes salt water taffy and fudge. The flavors of the ice cream is creamy and it burst into your mouth. If you haven't stopped by this place you need to stop by before you leave lake George. read more

A popular place in Lake George and I can see why...lots of delicious ice cream flavors. We really wanted to try the cannoli ice cream but they didn't have enough to sell and said they should have some the following day. After chatting with the lady for a bit, she scooped out what little she had and just gave it to us. That was so nice of her!! We loved the ice cream and came back the next day to get some. The same lady was there and remembered us and said welcome back. Needless to say, we not only got the cannoli we came for but ordered a bunch else as well. Truth be told, the first ice cream shop we had on our radar was closed for unknown reasons!! So my family and I walked a little down the street to Nina's which had people eating ice creams outside the front. I always put a disclaimer out there when reviewing ice cream shops...as an ice cream scooper for the past 5 years (and going strong!), I can be picky...but practical! The inside of the store is tight and narrow. Definitely no place to eat any food inside, but there are a few tables outside in the front. If it were really busy, it would be difficult to find a spot to sit. There is a unique spread of flavors. But unfortunately, it is hard to see the list of them because the placement on the wall is weird, almost right behind the counter! It was fairly disorganized and as a customer I was stressed out, not knowing where to stand to decide on my flavor and who was in line to order next. Not the most pleasant ordering experience for myself or the scoopers, who seemed indifferent to our difficulty to try and look at the menu without being rushed to order. That being said, the ice cream I ordered was delicious. I got the bittersweet symphony and it was incredibly flavorful and rich. I absolutely love stopping by here whenever walking on Canada Street in the Lake George Village at night. They have a variety of desserts, but of course everybody comes here for ice-cream! They have soo many unique flavors and two new ones that caught my eye this year were Cloud Nine and Piece of Cake. Cloud Nine is similar to cotton candy but it is has a stronger hint of raspberry flavor and Piece of Cake is like cake batter with a stronger chocolate flavor. This was the fourth stop for my friends and I along the, "Ice Cream Trail" which is a series of eighteen ice cream stops across NYS. What I liked about this place was that it offered some interesting and tasty flavors like, "Cherry Blossom" and, "Blue Goo". I got a scoop of Blueberry flavored hard serve and enjoyed it very much. It was a refreshing almost clean taste while also sweet and neither too hard or soft texture wise. My one friend also enjoyed their flavor, "cherry blossom" and the other just had a coffee as the previous stops along the trail were catching up with them a bit. The other great thing about this store is that it offers a lot of other assorted sweets like salt water taffy and hard candy. The location, right next to Lake George was the experiential equivalent of the cherry on top of our day since we got to sit on the dock and watch boats floating by in the placid waters as we ate our ice cream and enjoyed the cool breeze on a hot day. read more

This sweet shoppe has always been a favourite of mine, ever since I was a child! I used to take my boat down to Lake George Village from my hometown a bit further up the lake, just to get some sweets and popcorn! Nina's has the best caramel popcorn you have ever had, not too sweet and certainly not too "hully". The sales people are always smiling and friendly, no matter how busy this store gets, and it does get busy. T he homemade sweets are fantastic, especially the custard. Every time I come back to the area, the lovely owner still remembers me from when I was a child. Visiting this store, you feel appreciated and valued as a customer and are made to feel like family before you leave. This store is where customers still matter, and the owner wants to make sure that the customers are top priority! I wish more places would have this ethos. There is a reason after all of these years having not lived in the area, that I visit this shoppe every time I return! There is simply no better place, no better product, and no better owner that puts her customers first! read more

Oh Sweet **&*&%... (yes, that is cursing right there)... Nina, oh Nina... you not only killed us with kindness (giving me treats for my dog), killed any plans of trying to eat moderately healthy with a smidgen of a sugar break because, hey it is a vacation (HA!)... you literally killed me with sugar on a hot summer day. I think I died and went to heaven from diabetic shock and happiness. I had: your sugar cookie with tie-dye swirl cream cheese frosting which was TO DIE FOR, it is as delicious as it is pretty. Please don't stop making those ever... I will be back, I promise-- to get a BOX of them. And then gluttonously... I had been planning on splitting my peanut butter and chocolate fudge with my husband and brother, who were too busy eating THEIR picks (mint chocolate ice cream in waffle cone, chocolate chip cookie and a steaming hot coffee) to be of any support. So, as the beautiful Lake George sun beat down on us while we sat on the bench outside the shoppe, the little devil on my shoulder kept telling me to hurry up and eat everything before it melted, while the little angel on my other shoulder was mute and useless from diabetic shock. Really the type of person whose business I'd like to support. This will be our go-to for ice cream here at Lake George. My kids had the vanilla soft serve which they loved. My husband and I had the coffee which was great. Recommend that you give this place a shot. The line was long for a reason and it went quick due to her great staff. One last thought. It was explained to us that Lake George relies heavily on help from international students/workers.
