I've had an excellent experience living in this apartment community. The room conditions are fantastic -- everything feels modern, well-maintained, and comfortable. It's been one of the most pleasant living spaces I've stayed in. The staff and neighbors are genuinely helpful and kind. Any time I've needed support, the team responded quickly and professionally. The entire property is kept very clean and well-organized and the neighbors are keeping the apartment quiet and nice, which makes daily life feel easy and enjoyable. The amenities are a huge bonus. I love having access to the party room, garden area, gym, and BBQ space. They're all well-designed, clean, and perfect for both relaxing and hosting friends. I've lived here almost two years now. The leasing staffs are nice and the maintenance team is efficient. However, the noise level is getting worse. The delivery/moving trucks come in early morning daily and the obnoxious racing cars or motorcycles making intrusive loud sound in midnights. The gym is dated and other amenities are mediocre. If you are sensative to noise, this is definitely not the place you want to live. read more

My family has lived here for almost 3 years now. The experience has become worse each year, from good to bad, to now unbearable. Something needs to be done with how this building is managed, otherwise, this has quickly become a short-lease scam where ppl will not renew beyond a year and looking forward to the move-out date. I can assure you that I am not exaggerating. Location is good. That's what the one-star is about. The main street is a close walk and it's easy access to many places. If this checks your box, that's great but please read on for things that are terrible. - Fire alarm. Alarm rings 2am or 3am in the morning. Today morning marks the second time in 4 weeks. I woke up scared today. Management always 'blames' the restaurants at the first level, but they aren't actively addressing the issue. I mean they built the building and lease the restaurants out, this is ultimately their problem. Also, what kind of restaurant triggers alarm past midnight?! - My apartment has clear signs of past water damage. We do not use the sink (or cook) often, but on several occasions, the sink gets filled with dirty water (sewer?) when we get home for mysterious reasons. - Underground garage. It stinks like you are parking in the middle of a sewer. This can't be healthy. My car always has unpleasant rat-urine smell when I get into it. Please turn the fans on and use pest control. Also, the entrance of the garage is not safe at all and a hazard for collision and potential injury of pedestrians. One car goes out, one car comes in at the same time since they can't see each other - one car has to back off to break the standstill. This is bad design. - My LOCKED bike (~$1000) was stolen from the supposed LOCKED bike rack inside the KEYED garage around 10pm one day. If outside ppl gets easy access ... I really do not think it's safe. - Staff used to be good. Now they don't respond to emails (.. and repeated emails), or make any attempt to talk to you recently. I am a nice resident and just some requests every now and then. The last time I did in-person visits, the 'managers' choose to hide in their offices and use delay tactics - "we'll call you back by 5 today". They never did. - I am remote worker WFH, frequent water/internet outage/fire alarms make it difficult for me. I have missed important meetings due to those outage/alarms. There has to be a way to manage this place properly. Is it really over-subscribed that the management doesn't care about long-term residents any more?! Are some of the issues really that hard to solve? I don't know. There are ways to signal to the residents that these problems are being worked on instead of finding some random excuses or (worse) choose to ignore. Everything about this place is nice. The leasing office and maintenance crew is amazing. The only problem which made us leave is the unbearable smell in the 6th floor hallway. These frequent 2 am false alarms are infuriating! We all wake up terrified in the middle of the night, and then we can't go back to sleep. We are groggy the next day, especially the kids. The latest one was a couple of nights ago. This has been going on for years now at least since we moved in nearly 3 years ago, and we have PTSD from it. Management keeps blaming the retail stores and restaurants on the first floor, and they pretend that they have no control over it. But the retail spaces are owned and leased by the management of this apartment complex! They just don't seem to care enough about fixing the issue so that the *entire complex* doesn't have to deal with these false alarms so often. Residents are complacent now because of the frequency of these false alarms. Somebody is going to get hurt if there is a real fire. How is it acceptable to have such a major safety issue go on for years without a solution? The underground parking garage often smells like a garbage dump, and it's disgusting. All the trash from the retail stores and restaurants below gets collected in huge garbage tanks in the garage, and they frequently overflow and stink up the place for weeks. There is one major overflow currently going on right now, and it started about two weeks ago. Please take a look at the attached photos. It's a sewer leak, not water, and we avoid going into the garage mainly because of the disgusting smell. This issue also has been going on for years now, and they just don't seem to maintain properly. It has to be a health hazard, but nobody seems to care. What is more infuriating about living here is that is that there is zero transparency about any of these issues that happen so frequently. There have been absolutely no communication about the recent fire alarms, garbage smell or other major issues. E-mails and phone calls to the office are never returned. Yeah, yeah it's in the middle of Main Street, but it gets old real fast. Main Street is not so bustling like Santana Row, so there is not much upside to living here with all these unresolved issues impacting our lives. The rents here are one of the highest in the area, so it's not like we get to stay here for cheap. We can't wait to get out of this place. read more

The new staff are great. They're a good, solid team and they work really well together. The office staff, the maintenance team, and the cleaning crew are all 5 stars. They are the best team that the building has had since SR took over. The reason for the 3 stars: Any time a new shop opens, fire alarms will go crazy. The fire system tends to break often so alarms will go off for no reason. You get used to it though. (You buy multiple noise canceling headphones and just keep them everywhere.) The building is loud, things are a little disorganized. New rules tend to pop up often that penalize residents. Like now, there's no guest parking. Before you could park behind the building for free, now you have to pay $100 to utilize the second spot that comes with your apartment. Each year rent increases are very high. read more

We love living at Nineteen800 but the ongoing water issue is a nuisance! Every Wednesday since March the water is shut down roughly from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm. It's close to May end and they don't know yet when the water issue will be resolved. Imagine living with small kids whose schedule gets affected because of this. I have never been in a situation where even using the restroom is a nightmare. Specially for the premium you pay to live here! Other issue is the fire alarm. It's goes off at wee hours. My kids who are sleeping wake-up terrified and many times we have to rush out of our apartments. It's goes off at 3am sometimes at 5am etc. With small kids living here is terrible. Overall the community is nice. Ryan, the maintenance guy is amazing and very responsive. He is available at any time of day and night in case of emergencies. The appliances like someone said are cheap. The washing machine has mold issues. The microwave handle heat up when using the stove. The blinds fall off all the time. You are definitely getting what you pay for at Nineteen 800. I've been so lucky to stay here for my corporate housing after my big move from Arizona. Now that I've toured other complexes in the South Bay for a more permanent location, everywhere else pales in comparison. I only wish that I could afford to live here :( Here is what I love about the place: - Brand new apartment - Little to no carpet! Wood and tiled floors - woohoo - Stainless steel appliances that work! Gas stove, microwave/exhaust, dishwasher that doesn't require pre-rinsing, etc - Well-insulated and soundproofed walls. I haven't had to turn on AC so far - Private dog park in the courtyard that gets cleaned daily - 24hr security - Close to downtown Cupertino (whenever it gets built) - Walk-in closets the size of bedrooms - These rentals are slated to convert to sell, which may happen in approximately 2 years. In other words, you may be asked to leave OR buy your unit at a reduced price! Good for potential buyers. - First two months free Cons: - Some people don't clean up after their dogs in the dog park - $4600/month for 1450 sq ft 2br 2bath on the 4th floor not including utilities - The higher the apartment (floor-wise), the more expensive it gets - Not rent-controlled! South Bay has been experiencing an 8-30% increase in rent per year, so take that into consideration - About $8000 for the 3br penthouse. Coming on over four years in the building, just want to highlight the continued great leasing office team, particularly Irina and Bethany :) Moreover, the maintenance team, in specific Ryan, have been incredible throughout the years. Ryan always promptly addresses any issue, ensures that the job is done above expectations and is overall just a great guy. Also, he is a good steward of the community and keeps his eyes open -- for example, he has always let us know feedback about baby sitters when they took our soon out around the building. Theft detected notification of my SUV, was send to my iPhone at 8:50pm on Monday, 11/13/2017, per attached screenshot. Residents park their vehicles and bikes in basement with Secure Gate. Security called 911, then polices come for searching the theft. But, they couldn't locate the suspect. My bike parked in basement was stolen and recovered by security couple of months ago. DO NOT RENT UNIT 609. We have been living in 609 for 11 months. Everything was fine until Stein's Beer Garden opened doors in June. Stein's Beer Garden installed their air vents on the roof, right above our unit. The air vents turned on in the beginning of June, and since then, there has been a deep, incessant rumbling in the master bedroom. The walls shake and the noise is unbearable!!! It feels like there's a constant mini earthquake. Needless to say, we have not been able to sleep in the master bedroom for over a month. We have asked management to address the issue with Stein's Beer Garden since June 9. After harassing management for the third time to get this issue resolved, they finally got someone to look at the problem last week. Unfortunately, after the vendor "tweaked" the air vents, the noise has gotten even WORSE!! We now feel the rumbling in the living room as well! As of July 4, 2017, our unit is still unlivable. We are very disappointed that management has dragged their feet in addressing our concerns. Management is careless, and have failed to follow up properly multiple times. Whenever I contacted management, no one knew what was going on. Few staff members, especially upper management, tried to shift the blame and lapse in communication on lower staff members. I really don't think this issue should take over an entire month to fix. (Technically, nothing has been fixed yet). Also, the vendor should have taken more care to install the air vent in a location that would not disrupt tenants in the first place, especially given how paper thin these walls apparently are. We have asked for rent back for the portion of unusable square footage for June from Nineteen800 and Stein's Beer Garden, but management has continued to avoid addressing our request. Our lease ends at the end of this month, and we have absolutely NO plans to renew it. Good luck renting out this unit after we leave. read more

I would also like to say again, that the floor plan of our apartment, with the double sink vanities in each bathroom, spacious and open layout, ample closet and storage spaces, have all influencd our decision to renew our lease for a third time. I'm writing this because I don't think the current low rank reviews are doing this place justice. We've been staying here for three years and after all, I think it's a nice place to live given you get a decent set of neighbors upstairs and you're looking for a dog friendly community in Cupertino High school district. I like walking our dog around The Main street, maybe getting a coffee or a pastry and just watch the place getting shape, there was literally nothing around when we moved in. I like having the Atlas urgent care clinic in the building and I like that our kid goes to Cupertino High, I like getting a beer at Steins, a pizza at Doppio and our dog definitely likes the grilled chicken at Lazy Dog. It's a new construction, a very young building still a bit rough around the edges but it's getting better every year. Most of the complaints are with the fire alarms, management changes and noise but all these are slowly getting addressed. The new management looks sharp and it seems they are very responsive, ex. they fixed the garage door on a weekend. The alarms were mostly due to new businesses doing interior modeling/setup or residents getting too excited with the frying pan or forgetting to turn the gas off. I'd rather have a blood pumping alarm in the middle of the night than waking up in Valhalla. We've stayed at many so called luxury apartments (ex. Biltmore, Avalon and a couple on East coast) and the key to enjoy your staying is to set your expectations low. Ex., we've stayed for two years at a affluent yacht club North of Pittsburgh surrounded by really rich folks and it was literally raining in our bedroom and there was no parking space for my neighbor's second 575 Maranello so our kid had to learn how to bike and play between Ferraris. So I can understand how people that pay 4k rent per month may expect some sort of elevated service but that's missing the point a bit, we're not paying for the building quality or services but mostly for the location and school district. And the location is perfect. I'd say tour the building, see if you like the apartment, ask about the neighbors and check the competing rental offers in Cupertino High school district. read more

I am super angry at this management now! We have been here from 2017 and since we moved in we had a problem each month!!! The 6th floor elevator is broken every month for few days! How come an elevator is broken regularly and no one is fixing it forever???? We have to carry bags and shops for 6 floors and just think why the hell we are still living here???? The management is so relax and not apologetic at all! Every time they say we "emailed " them ! They don't escalate this properly and they don't manage the vendors well! We are so done with this issue!!! They just raised the rent to 4350$ and I was like... do we really need to pay this mich and deal with a F elevator being broken for days every time???? We have water shutoff we have alarms going off while we have meetings and kids at home! The alarm takes forever to turn off.... Horrible just horrible management... The apartment could be great with a better management. We are giving up this nice apartment unit because we cannot deal with this horrible management! It is not a 2k apartment! We are paying so much , you don't have pool and jacuzzi like other buildings and we have all the issues here. By the way, our building is shaking because of the machines and fans and motors on top of our roofs... As a current resident for the past 2.5 years, I have witnessed a compete transformation at 19800. Here is what has improved: - Fire Alarms have been fixed - Entire surrounding area is completely developed. It includes a Target, a nice grassy park, and plethora of great restaurants - Maintenance is top notch. You can expect resolution in a couple of hours - New Package Delivery system. Packages don't get lost anymore. - Sense of community. Weekly cooking and workout classes. My favorite is on Halloween when they give all the kids their own pumpkin for trick or treating. It's great to know I can go to any of my neighbors if I need anything. I attribute this to the new management. They are super helpful and are committed to making it the best place to live. Special shout out to Morgan and Irena. They go above and beyond the call of duty. I highly recommend this property. Apartments are very spacious and luxurious. Office staff are nice however, Too many temp employees in the office which makes it difficult to ask basic questions. They really try to provide tenants with different community activities such as yoga and personal trainers. I don't like the constant construction and workers in an out all the time. I have been awakened at 6:30 7 in the morning to the sounds of jack hammers. Wish they would give more incentives to tenants who are considering a lease renewal for the inconvenience of all the construction and fire alarms. I received my lease renewal and the rent was increased by a ridiculous amount. Not worth this type of increase so I'm moving on. Not worth 4200 dollars for a two bedroom construction zone. read more

There are so many reasons to choose 19800 over other rental communities in Cupertino. First, their 2 bedroom floor plan is huge and comes with a full size kitchen with LOTS of counter space and cupboards. The 2nd bedroom is just as spacious as the master bedroom which is a huge plus if you have kids. There is plenty of room for you to create a bedroom/playroom for your little ones. Second, Main St Cupertino (Target, restaurants, wine bars and Philz) is all walking distance from 19800. If thats too far for you, you can still walk downstairs and have other options like Steins, Koja Kitchen and Kebab Shop. If you're a commuter, this property is right off the 280 highway so it makes getting around anywhere super easy. I highly recommend living here. read more

Seems like it will be the 1st day of 2 days without water. No water to drink. No water to shower with. No water to flush (this extreme unpleasantries need to mentioned). No water to prep meals. No water to wash my hands when eating take out. Not offered bottle water so far. This will be the second time this year that we will have no water for 2 days. On in early February we were 48 hours without water. A water main burst and 17 apartments were flooded. The main elevators are still shutdown after the deluge. They shut the water for one full day. Then at 10pm, the water went back off until the following evening. And now, the repairs seems iffy and the water is off for two days. AGAIN! I pay high rent for convenience. For the second time this year, I and 200 families, have been inconvenience without much of a mea culpa nor anything to make me feel more whole. The maintenance of the building is going to shit. Burnt out outside lights are never replaced. Hall carpets are no longer vacuumed. The garage gate is still broken and wide open. Security guards are never at the office. The office's favorite refrain seems to be "the parts on order". read more

When my husband and me toured this apartment last year for moving in, we fell in love with the apartment complex. It is new with new appliances and fresh look. Carlos had helped us to view the place and he had patiently waited for all the activities of our 4 yr to finish. Another reason also to move in here was that getting the 2 month off on lease made the whole deal affordable for us. Now we are planning to move from here only coz of the non-affordability of rent. Otherwise the people in leasing office (Trish, Alicia Irina and Carlos) are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I know there have been a lot of difficult times with different people moving in and out of the office, but these people here are trying to solve most of the problem here. I have had personal experience and also know of experiences of other neighbors who were helped by Trish and her team. They are trying to help the residents here instead of talking rules and regulations. read more

I love my fifth floor apartment, but the building is not in a good state right now. Major flooding from a burst pipe occurred a month ago and ever since we've endured days without any water, or just cold water when it became available. And related, the main elevators have been out for the month. Many fire alarms -- someone counted 48 in the last year. The garage gate for residential parking fails frequently. I couldn't leave the building last week because the gate was stuck again and it takes a long time for the technician to force it open. They no longer post security when the garage door fails, so anyone can drive or walk into the building at any time. I've had good experiences with the maintenance team, and the current staff are good, but given all the ongoing problems I can't recommend that anyone move in at this point. I thought I'd live here forever, but now I'm not sure. read more

My elderly parents lived there for a year after they sold their home. They complaint that the alarm went off in the middle of the night for no reason. My dad could not evacuate because he used a walker. My 88 years old mother walked out with others in the dark and in the cold. Ridiculous!!!! The worst is the apartment cleaning bill at the end. When my parents moved out, we hired a professional cleaning person to clean the whole apartment before turning in the keys. I checked the place and it was sparkling clean. But later on, the management still bill my parents $650 for cleaning and painting, again.... Ridiculous!!!! I met many tenants in that apartment when I visited my parents, they were corporate employees and their employer pay for their rent and cleaning fee. So, if your company is not paying for your bill, watch out for the big cleaning bill at the end. read more

I popped over on a lazy Sunday afternoon for a quick tour, only to find that it's the last day to get 2 free months if you sign a 1-year lease. So like any other self-respecting Asian person looking for a deal, I put down a deposit of $500 to reserve an apartment. (You have 1 week to change your mind and still get your deposit back.) These aren't your standard apartment complexes...Nineteen 800 bills itself as luxury two- and three-bedroom condos/townhouses, and it doesn't disappoint. It's brand new and stylish, equipped with stainless steel appliances and front-loading washer/dryer. So what's the catch? Rent starts around $4,000, and there's still a lot of construction going on in the area. My apartment (on the second floor) overlooks some construction, which I'm not overly excited about, but I can always change my mind later this week. Businesses will probably start to move in on the first floor in December, but in the meantime there's plenty of guest parking available. Veronica from the leasing office was more than helpful in showing me the available units and asking me what I want, but I was basically sold after looking at the first unit...it's really nice. Where to begin... We have lived in two separate locations here, once on the third floor and finally on the fifth floor. While living on the third floor it sounded like elephants were stampeding above us. We had no issues with the unit itself but the management was extremely scatter brained, never had us fill out certain forms (check in forms), and when we would go down to pick up packages they acted like we didn't live there because of the way we look and assumed we were vendors. Yes we are younger, yes we wear t-shirts and jeans, it's just frustrating... We decided to move to the fifth floor. The move definitely showed all the management issues. On two separate occasions we had fire alarms going off in the middle of the night for no reason. They tried to overcharge us for the move, and it took a long while to receive a refund. Our parking spots were promptly reassigned, we had them for two weeks before they decided to install EV parking. We were given temporary parking sports. However, they never updated our records and a month later we found someone parking in our spot. When I called the office to ask what the situation was they said that we needed proof that they had reassigned them to us. When we brought them the typed letter they gave us they tried to brush it off without an apology. When our lease is up.. we're out! Bad management. read more

I just moved into this building as part of my relocation to Cupertino for work. The building is very new and has good amenities, community room, gym, movie theater, game room, etc. The problem I have is the quality of the building itself. The main issue that I wanted to shed light on is the incredibly thin ceilings between floors. There is a young family living above me, and their child plays in the apartment and it sounds like there's an elephant stampeding on my ceiling. This is something that the building can't quickly fix, without ripping up the laminate floors and installing a higher grade of noise insulation underneath. Anyone who is interested in living here and paying $4200 a month for a 2 bedroom should be aware of this major problem. read more

5 Stars for the Leasing office and staff that work here but 1 star for the quality of craftsmanship/design and building of the facilities. The apartment complex is fairly new and very upscale but has been plagued by constant issues. It started with fire alarms going off at random times for testing or simply false alarms. Then it was awful smells coming from the basement/garage due to a grease trap/pipe failure a few years ago. It then expanded to water being shut off at least 6 different times in the past couple of months; in some cases for 48 hours or more. The latest issue was a burst water line after some repairs were allegedly completed but clearly were not. That flood damaged an entire section of the second floor and many of the restaurants. It seems that it took a major event like that for the owners to finally hire the right engineers and plumbers to fix the problem. During all of these issues, the people working at the leasing/management office have been incredible. I can only imagine the negative energy and frustration they must be getting on a daily basis from upset tenants. They have been professional and have been as accommodating as possible and they should be commended for keeping a level head during a series of shoddy repairs. I feel they have done everything they can to help tenants during these times. Specifically, I want to call out Tricia, Irina, Alicia, Jose, and Morgan. They all deserve a huge raise for having to deal with the chaos the past several months and I do not fault them one bit for what has happened. I believe the onus is on the builder and the owner but I won't speculate on the reason there are so many issues. I do hope a full investigation is done to determine why so many problems have plagued such a new an upscale building. I also expect the owners to make some serious concessions to residents who have lived here during all or most of the disruption. Those residents clearly did not receive what they paid for in terms of basic living necessities like running water or hot water. Another positive related to the leasing/management office staff is there attempt to bring the community together. Last summer they hosted a free weekly Friday evening wine/food/live music event in the courtyard. They also have hosted free art and wine events, open to all residents in addition to free weekly fitness and yoga classes. Again the staff have done ALL they could possibly do to make this place as comfortable and inviting as possible and they should feel proud of their efforts; especially in the face of so many challenges with the building structure. I am moving out in the next couple of weeks but not because of the issues described above and I had to come to the defense of the staff because they are not to blame for the mechanical issues with this place. I believe that once they finally get everything fixed (and they need to have a 3rd party engineering firm come inspect and audit EVERYTHING about this place) and these mechanical issues are resolved at the root, 19800 will be a sought after destination to live and raise your kids. read more

Units are fancy (and expensive, but in our case we had a 2 months free rent special, which helped). Maintenance seems quick to respond to issues so far, however they aren't always great at solving the issue. They do give an honest effort, it just sometimes requires a repeat call or two to actually get the thing fixed, and you might have to do your own troubleshooting. Another reviewer noted colored water; I haven't had an issue with bad quality water, though the water flow seems a bit weak. Even now the building as a bit of a musty-new-building (?) smell in the hallways, but it's not too bad. Soundproofing between floors is fairly poor; expect to hear your upstairs "neighbors" They've opened up the retail area in the complex a bit, however it's been a slow process. CooperVino, located in the complex, is a fun little place. There is a LIEMAX theater nearby, as well as Vallco Mall (though the mall itself is dead, and will actually be razed soon). You do pay a lot for it, so I'd only consider this complex if you can get the 2-month free promotion they have. Do bear in mind that this means you'll have an effective 4-month penalty if you want to break the lease early. read more

This is a best apartment we have ever experienced! Super friendly and thoughtful staff and top-notch equipment and facilities. Even if we face small issues, they always address it in a timely manner. Also, they throw a wonderful party/events regularly where we can communicate and network among neighbors. Unfortunately, we have to move to new location, but if we would have a chance to come back here in the valley, absolutely we would like to become neighbor again!! read more

I think the area that the community is in is very up and coming. I love it here! My home here is beautiful, and accommodates my families needs. Here are the pros and cons. PRO: 1.) Management is caring and responsive 2.) Great location! 3.) New retail opening on the 1st level 4.) REAL tile floors in the kitchen and bathrooms 5.) Beautiful homes 6.) Large floor plan CONS: 1.) Construction all around. The area is being redone, and it will be amazing once done, just it is a bit noisy and dusty. 2.) Prices are high, but then again it is Cupertino. 3.) I wish there was more grass areas for walking my dog I read a lot of complaints about the noise on here, and I feel they are not warranted. Can I hear my neighbor walking above me? Yes. Is this normal in this style of building? Yes. I have lived in many different communities, and I don't think the noise is any worse than any other apartment community I have lived in. Having stayed in 19800 for half a year, I would give a 5 without much hesitation. - Great management, very nice staffs, taking care of almost all requirements, big and small. They are available 7 days a week and highly responsive. - Great location. I mean it's 2 min walk to a shopping mall plus AMC theatre, 5 min walk to another one with bowling, 5 min drive to Safeway, Ranch 99 and a whole bunch of great Asian and American cuisine, 8 min drive to Wholefoods... What else can you ask for? - Modern furniture with large, open kitchen. - Well maintained public amenities. Very nice gym, BBQ stands, public entertainment rooms (which I haven't tried but looks awesome), office. What could be improved: - Some more default lighting in living room would be nice. - I don't have much issue with sound proof from neighbors, but between rooms hopefully it can be bit better. - Sometimes the printers in the office do not function. read more

My husband and I toured this complex twice before deciding not to go with Nineteen800. The first tour was with a very friendly man and it went over very well. Of course, when you see a brand new apartment that is nicely staged, you can't help but to fall in love with the place as I did AT FIRST. We were pretty sold, but wanted to look around too since we had some time before our current lease expires. The second time around, the tour did not go over very well because the older Hispanic woman's passive aggressive attitude totally ruined our whole experience. We were told in order to get the two free months' worth of rent, we needed to sign with them on the day of the tour. Um, if that was the case, why were we even being offer the free rent when the woman knew it was our SECOND time touring the place?!?! Also, from the first tour we learned that because this complex was originally built to be sold as condos, but since they did not sell... The investors decided to rent them out. Now, as the surrounding areas start to get more developed the plan is to sell them as condos soon in the future. I was told the tenants will get priority if you do decide to buy them as condo (for millions) I presume. Because I am considering the future, the thought of moving again after a year or even two years is stressful enough for me not to rent this place. If you have kids especially, the change of school, neighborhood, etc.. is just not worth it for me. Also, I want to note that in the first tour I was told there were 1250 sq were available (which is what I was interested), but on the second tour was told otherwise. Even though supposedly zillow/craigslist is updated, saying this square footage is available.. Apparently, it's not! So, after one year good luck paying the exorbitant rent when the two months' rental is no longer covered. With all these things to consider, plus the fact that the woman might be the apartment manager.. Who apparently does not seem like a people person AT ALL, it was clear this place wasn't for me. A second car space, which would be $100 + the rent, we were looking close to $3,600 for the location that were suggested to us. AND for a "Cupertino" school district that's not even in Cupertino. I instead found a townhouse rental with 3 bedrooms instead of 2 and 1,600 sq place for $3,700 WITH a security of knowing I won't be asked to leave! read more

We have been living here for a year now, it has its ups and downs but the real problem is that they recently changed their parking policy and are asking for $100 per car per month for parking. 2 bedroom units get one free and assigned parking in the basement, 3 bedroom units get 2 spots. Since almost all the households have at least 2 cars and the property can easily accomodate our cars in the basement, why do we pay for $100 per month for parking? They blame it on the property owner and don't do anything to solve this issue. They tell you that from now on, the ground floor parking is reserved for retail parking even though you live here paying a lot of money or you work in the community... There is plenty of parking available on the ground floor and very less retail shops to use them. Looking at all the bad reviews and the rating that you got, the management company should definitely do something to solve the parking problem soon. Otherwise the current residents will start moving out one by one because nobody is happy... read more
