However, if your pet for any reason might need medication, I would strongly recommend against choosing Prairie Vista. For the past week and a half we have been requesting a medication refill only to be ignored by the pharmacy at PV. In fact, when you call PV, you are required to leave a message rather than getting to speak with a pharmacist. After almost 2 weeks of being extremely cordial and respectful during phone calls, I finally called PV and felt forced to leave a rather demanding voicemail - this was when someone FINALLY called me back after 5+ phone calls cumulatively between my husband and myself. When I requested the medication be transferred to a new veterinarian, they did not get it done the same day. The following day, when their vet technician was in, the wrong information was sent to our new vet over 4+ times before being done correctly (to no fault of the vet technician, as I assume she was being forced to do this work all alone.) All in all, we are literally being forced to switch vets due to PV lack of communication and responsibility. So, if your pets might need regular medication, this is going to have to be a no go.
