Reena and Aisha were amazing throughout the whole application process. Lots of ups and downs, surprises, because our application was not exactly straight-forward, but they were just so competent, handling the twists and turns with ease, and providing the kind of care that makes it easy for me to recommend them. I hate to think of what the application process would have been had we chosen to do it on our own -- probably an extended nightmare of sorts. Again, our application was not straightforward but even if it was there are just so many little considerations and points of information that, in my opinion, are not clearly spelled out and could be missed by even the most attentive applicant. I paid $2500 for PR services, after I got ITA, they took all the documentation, but were unable to get back to me about how much progress they have done with my paperwork and no one replied to my email in 20 days. I would rather file my own paperwork myself than let them do it, at this point. My initial point of contact, a lady was pretty good and I thought she would be working on my case and paid the money for that. But unfortunately, she didn't work on my case. read more

Our law team has changed at least 4 times, with no notification. The only way we found out each time was to call and demand to talk to someone, only to be told, "They no longer work here." This is highly unethical, unprofessional, and just plain wrong. We have been given conflicting information, as well as misinformation. Save your money and do this process yourself. read more

Very poor quality of service for Canadian immigration. Don't use them at all! They charge several thousand dollars but the service is worth only a couple of hundred dollars! They are only good for form filling. Without going into the entire story, I have spent in excess of $8,000.00 and have had nothing but grief. This money was for a simple L1A Visa for the USA. So far, after presentation of the document prepared by Visaplace, US Customs has barred both my wife and I from entering the USA while USCIS reviews the presentation from Visaplace. Both my wife and I have been told that we may be banned from the USA for up to 5 years. In the mean time both our belongings and our car are stuck in the US. I am still paying rent on a house in the US that we cannot use. I warn you ~ do not use this firm. They will not support you and further they will desert you when the going gets tough. We had an awful experience working with this firm. It seems like some of the employees of this firm feel very comfortable making false promises and ignoring client's emails. Due to the lack of communications and progress in our application, we eventually terminated our contract with this firm. Hiring Visa Place was probably the most brainless decision I have ever made. I initially spoke with one of their 'Senior Certified Immigration Practitioner" who suggested me an immigration path and promised they have an extremely high success rate in this category. The path she explained didn't seem realistic, so I consulted two other firms before signing up with Visa Place. These two other layer firms (WWICS and Campbell Cohen law firm) were very honest to let me know right away that this immigration path is not possible and will not work out. I still made a senseless decision to sign up with Visa Place. From the day 1, I had been asking them how we are going to succeed, and they never had a straight answer. In the end, we failed just as I was expecting. This is by far the most unprofessional team that I have seen. Their attorney and her assistant never responded to emails before 2-3 days, she never wanted to speak on phone, and from her emails she sounded like a very amateur trainee. I understand the ultimate decision lies in the hands of the immigration officer, but at least you would expect your attorney to suggest you best things to do for a high success chance - I never got this from them. Despite of their ridiculously high fee, I always felt that my case was being done on a "best effort basis" by a trainee layer. I am not sure where all these positive reviews are coming from, but my experience was worst. And gave me full appeal decision. I look for a lots of lawyers went to meet them, no one was on time on appointments at first place. And then I check google and found Niren and associates, called them booked appointment went to office. They went through all applications and my husband interview, with realistic positive manner and no pressure. My journey started with them September 2017 Sanaa and Alicea took time to see all my application they found all date mistakes on my application and started collecting all evidence and documents that can prove my relationship genuine at appeal. I received a full day appeal date September 2018. Sanaa took her time and prepared me and my husband for appeal date, she met me 3 times and talked with my husband via WhatsApp to prepare us for our appeal. After almost a year of dealing with this firm, with still no results or know-about where the application I sent, and thousands of dollars I've sent to this firm went to... I have to say this firm is extremely unprofessional and I cannot recommend it to anyone looking for reliable service. I started my journey with this firm for immigration matters on a waiver submission because of the great reviews and after consulting on the phone with one of the lawyers I was impressed and excited to start the process with Niren & Associates. As soon as you pay the deposit fees (running into the USD thousands) the communication is slow and inaccessible with the firm! I've complained numerous times about the delays in communication through e-mail and phone how I am unable to reach my representative through crucial matters and timing. The phone is never answered, always left to voicemail or the front desk that seems to have no clue which client is being represented by which lawyer. Callbacks are usually 1-2 weeks, with this complication it creates a MAJOR delay in immigration matters. However, I want to comment on the negative professional experience I had where I was changed lawyers not once, or twice but THREE times!!!! Three different lawyers or a paralegal? Someone that wasn't qualified at one point was handling my case who was an assistant of the lawyer!!! My case was shared and continued to be passed along to many different people than the original lawyer that I thought I was working with and who I had paid an excessive amount of money to! Numerous excuses, numerous delays, and because of all the miscommunication and passing along of the case between different people at the firm... led to unfortunate results! I wasted thousands of dollars for a waiver that was never properly mailed to me or notified that it had been sent to me. To this day, I still have no idea what has happened and of course Niren & Associates are unable to be reached by phone. I can't explain how upsetting the experience with Niren & Associates was and it's extremely unfortunate that I had this experience with this firm. Niren & Associates are well aware of my dissatisfaction and in return have tried to offer me a discounted price to reapply with them, but I could never go through this process again to have worries that my case would be changed once again with other lawyers, more delays, and not clear communication! When selecting a law firm to represent you, and paying thousands of dollars you NEED to be able to have CLEAR communication with the firm where they can be reached at. I contacted them for a visa application for the USA. They completely ignored me for over three weeks after I paid the fees, and only once I requested the cancellation of the service and a refund, they told me that the procedure was "near-completion", and for this reason they refused to refund the fees. Be aware that if you contact them, you may end up losing your money and losing your job offers because your prospective employer in the USA will not wait for them to finally decide to look at your application. They only want your money. They don't care about you getting the visa. I would strongly discourage anyone from applying with them. read more

I had an excellent experience with Niren & Associates in my quest to acquire a TN-1 visa to accept a job offer in the United States. I worked with them remotely, as they are located in Toronto and I was in Ottawa. I had my first consultation via phone with Fadi Minawi, wherein he informed me very promptly how he would be able to help me and what the parameters would be. Within a week, I signed a retainer, and a week or so later, I was contacted by a legal assistant to begin sending my documents and accumulating information for my application. Fadi and his assistant, Laura, were very helpful in aiding my employer to draft the letter of employment and the support letter, and were always on hand whenever I needed any clarifications. Just prior to leaving for the United States, I had a final consult with Fadi wherein he gave me some very helpful advice to make my processing at the border swift and simple. Last week, my application was cleared and I now live and work in Brooklyn -- a fate I owe to Fadi and the offices of Niren & Associates. If I to give any criticism, it would be that there were some significant lapses in time between sending documents and receiving confirmation that the process had begun. I would have been reassured by a simple check-in every once in a while. Otherwise, I would certainly recommend Niren & Associates! read more

I worked with Niren and Associates in TORONTO for my US Permanently Residency filing and again for removal of conditions petition. Danielle Grbic, a senior immigration attorney was quick and efficient. I am happy to say that I recently received my 10 year green card successfully. It was a very long process. My case was submitted Dec 19,2016 and I received my green card in November 2018. No fault of Niren and Associates... immigration is very behind in the US. I would highly recommend Niren and Associates. Even though there were some hiccups along the way that were out of their control, their efficiency and reassurance during those times, was amazing. I could not recommend Niren and Assocaites more! I am a Canadian citizen married to a Canadian/American whom was relocated for work but because we were not married at the time of his relocation the company would not sponsor me so I needed to apply for a green card on my own. My application went in January 28th, 2013 and I received the notice for my interview to be on January 8th, 2014 (processing times are on average 12-14 months). I found out I had been approved then and there on January 8th and was in the US on January 14th, all in all my application took 12 months to be processed and approved. Fadi was my lawyer but Laura was the legal assistant I dealt with and she was amazing! She would always get back to me within 24 hours of me emailing or calling her and made what is a stressful and difficult process very smooth and simple. To this day we are in contact as she wants to make sure I have all the correct documentation that allows me to work. I should add that the retainer fee was very fair! I had done A LOT of research on law firms as this was a situation not to take lightly and Niren and Associates came on top when I was deciding who to sign with and are still on top after everything is said and done! read more

I spoke with an immigration consultant on February 11th, 2020, about applying for permanent residency for Canada. I was attracted to VisaPlace because of the promise of excellent communication and results. It was mentioned how important the timely processing of the application was due to the penalty incurred with Express Entry after my approaching birthday. This is a key point. A payment was made for $2500.00, which was explained covers the creation of the Express Entry Profile. On February 12, 2020, a template of blank forms was provided and I was given a checklist of items to complete and a test to take. On Sunday, March 29, 2020, all information and test results was sent to my assigned representative. It was mentioned again that the application was time sensitive due to my age (the second time this concern was mentioned). Near the close of business, Monday, March 30, 2020, no acknowledgement was received from anyone to confirm the information was received. A follow up email was sent asking for confirmation and asking for an ETA for completion. The concern about my age was brought up again for a third time. Only after asking for one, a response was finally received the same day indicating the information was received. The ETA that was asked for was never provided. The response was also from a different representative than the one I was originally assigned. The fact that my representative changed was also never communicated to me. It certainly doesn't help communication when you don't know who your current representative is. At the end of the first week, on Friday, April 3rd, 2020, I asked again for an ETA and for a general status. This email was never responded to. The vendor later admitted this. Note that the vendor advertises an estimated response time of 24-48 hours. This time was not adhered to. This is also a violation of their own website promise of timely communication. On April 9th, an Express Entry double draw occurred. I was not able to participate in their draw due to the lack of progress on the Express Entry Application. There was no status known from the merchant of the Express Entry application due to no communication. On April 12th, the standard two-week processing time frame expired with no status and no communication. To prevent missing any future Express Entry draws, I was forced to enter my own Express Entry Profile on Sunday, April 12th, outside of the normal and standard two-week VisaPlace processing time. On April 13th, a cancellation email was sent to my representative for client abandonment. The response to the cancellation was an email with an apology and an excuse of internet trouble. My representative said the website was crashing on their computers and they could not enter the profile. Note that this was never communicated with me. Also, I had no trouble entering the profile on my own. This excuse and the lack of communication are not acceptable. VisaPlace seemed quick to take my initial deposit and then move slowly, or not at all, and then made excuses when called to task on it. On April 14th, A phone call was held with the Client Services Manager. During that call, the lapse in communication was admitted to and apologies were offered, promises were made to begin communicating in a timely manner, and another questionable excuse of computer problems was given. A $250 credit was offered to compensate for all the issues. I rejected the credit since I was forced to do the work myself due to their lack of timely response and lack communication on any issues. Note that the VisaPlace website policy is to keep their customer informed every step of the way. This was clearly violated. read more

I had a very good experience with this firm and they did an amazing job of solving my complicated situation. They were nice and professional throughout and they really know how to do their job. Especially, my lawyer Rania and paralegal Alicea, not only are they well versed in the laws and legislation of the US and Canada but they also know they best approach to a case. They are also respectful of the human element that is associated when a person seeks legal help and how to handle an agitated client. They make lawyers look good. At the end of the day, they got the job done on time and for a reasonable price, so I can't really give them anything less than 4 stars. My sense is that this is a good law firm with talented people working for it. But those people may be overworked, lack clear leadership, and/or have poor processes. The only other reviewer here described it as a "disorganized" office and I think that's fair. They seem to not coordinate with each other at all, so you'll hear different information from different people depending on who you talk to. Or you'll have to explain your case all over again from scratch to a new person. A major improvement they could make is to assign a single case manager who handles your case right from the initial phone consultation, all the way through to the end. read more

We have had such a negative experience with Visa Place over the last 2 years that we feel compelled to share our story. It is our belief that because of mismanagement and administrative oversights on the part of Visa Place/Niren & Associates, our application was denied. As a result of our experience with them, we have filed grievances with the Better Business Bureau and the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council. Over the course of a year we brought our concerns to Visa Places' attention, but our concerns were never addressed. We encourage you to take your time and do your research in selecting a firm. EDITED REVIEW: I was not happy with the "immigration consultant" I spoke with and him ignoring my concerns prompted me to post a negative review of the company. I realize that the actions of one employee do not speak for the company itself so I will edit my initial review. Top management reached out to me after and were very diligent is trying to resolve my concerns. They offered to allow me to speak with an attorney. It is unfortunate that didn't happen before the "immigration consultant" made me upset so I didn't really want to do business with them anymore. My business was strictly a phone "consultation" and I wasn't interested in continuing that relationship so top management offered me a refund of my consultation fee, which they didn't have to do. In all fairness, an edit of the review is deserved and they should gain back some level of trust. My opinion is that the "consultants" aren't the most educated and in my experience I knew more about my situation than he did. They need better training to answer questions or how to handle customers who aren't happy with their level of service. I also suggest the company be more clear that they are scheduling "consultants", not attorneys. Fine print at the bottom of the page isn't good enough in my opinion. My suggestion is to speak to a real attorney and don't waste your time with "consultants". I informed him I didn't feel like I was given anything I didn't already know and that they misrepresented their services by claiming I was able to speak with an attorney and that I wanted a refund if I couldn't speak with the attorney. I went to VisaPlace with my immigration case back in September. After 5 months of my case being in their possession, no progress was made. The legal team provided very little communication throughout those months. They asked for an additional $5 to obtain ATIP notes and then after they received these notes, they did not explain any of it to me. Instead, they emailed me a 128 page government document with no explanation. I made them aware at the initial meeting that my LMIA was set to expire in December, knowing this information they failed to complete and submit my application which led to my LMIA expiring still with no progress made. After posting an initial review about the firm, they reached out to me in hopes of asking me to remove my review. I told them that I paid a large amount of money for a service that was not completed. They offer a refund of a fraction of the amount paid for you to take down the review. They continuously claim that there was tons of work done behind the scenes, however, they are unable to provide any proof if this work that was supposedly done. I would not recommend this firm to anyone. A waste of time and money. UPDATE: After you leave a negative review, they try contacting you and claiming the review is libel - even though every single word of my review is true. And they try threatening you with legal action - for which they have no grounds. Although I kept asking for any proof that what I said wasn't true and offered to gladly remove it if it were, they provided nothing and refuse to talk unless you remove your review. I chose this firm because they had good reviews here but now I know why. Anyone that leaves a negative review either gets paid off with a partial refund or legally threatened. HIGHLY DISCOURAGED! About a year ago I was sponsoring my wife to Canada and decided to go through Niren and Associates (big mistake). I was connected with a lawyer and his associate. I sent them all the information they asked for and the filled out immigration form I got back felt like it had to been done by a 10 year old. Mistakes literally on every page. I let it go. Fast forward a few months.. I literally had to pester them because they'd disappear for months at a time without giving me any sort of update. I understand it's a slow process, but my email's would get a response about a month later. It got to the point where I called the government immigration office myself and it turned down Niren and Associates had messed up my application and I had gotten a rejection which Niren did not care to update me about! I took matters into my own hands and filed paperwork myself. Fast forward a few more months when it came time for my wife's sponsorship interview.. mind you over the course of these last few months I had not heard from these guys AT ALL. My wife and I go through with the interview.. and I hear nothing from these guys. No updates, no advice, nothing. All they did was take my 4k at the start of the process. I'm not sure what these others experienced, but my experience with this firm has been great. I needed to bring in a worker from the US and did so with a NAFTA work permit. The lawyer assigned to my file was responsive, as was the assistant. I expected this file to take much longer than it actually did, and to my surprise, it was completed without any additional requests by customs. The entire process at the border took less than 30 minutes and the officer commented on the quality of the application. My employee has started on the project he was assigned to and I may need their services again in the near future. The only criticism I have, is the prep meeting seemed to make my employee applicant nervous, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. read more

The consultant did not seem to know what she was talking about, kept cutting me off while talking and not understanding my questions. Whenever I would question her inconsistency, she would say 'I'm going to put you on hold' then would come back and ask ME to continue, seemingly forgetting what I was talking about. She continued to try to sell me a package and insist that visaplace was 'award winning'. A complete waste of my time and money. Stay away from this place!!! read more

TERRIBLE! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! Stay away from this firm! I stumbled across their website when I ran into issues with getting my girlfriend over to Canada. I originally wanted them to appeal a decision made by my case officer. They said that would be $5250 plus additional fees. Now I'm just a simple soldier and not flush with cash, so that is a lot of money for me. I found the money regardless. My lawyer decided that an appeal wasn't the best course of action (probably because an appeal was too complex for her and she had no idea what she was doing) and said that she will start with a visitor visa application. She also said that since I overpaid them that my fee would cover the visitor visa, the visa extension and the spousal sponsorship application. So I was happy of course. Once we started to proceed that's when I noticed that these people couldn't care less about their clients. They were ridiculously slow to replay to emails or phone calls (providing they returned them at all) and when they did, their reply was of no use what so ever. I asked them one simple question and they replied with "yikes I don't know" and half-assedly sent me to another lawyer that was the first to pop up on google. Other than emailing me the forms that I would need for the application, they done absolutely nothing. We have scheduled many phone conferences and they were always late in calling me. Sometimes they would not call me and I would have to chase them down.. speaking of chasing, I would have to hound them in order to get any work out of them. They were supposed to write various articles for me and they never did. They only finally wrote a letter on my behalf because of how much I was hassling them. When they finally submitted the application for the tourist visa they showed no tenacity when it came to getting an answer when it ran past it's processing time. Upon me suggesting to them that they should call they said no. And then when they finally did get a reply I again had to hunt them down for any information. So upon learning that my girlfriends application was refused (again), I asked them what the game plan is and they had no idea. It was me that suggested that we will get married and submit a spousal visa that way. So I did some research and found the documentation that I would need and I had a few questions. Again they had no answer for me. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. When I told them I was terminating their services they start to come up with this whole ploy about how they've already done so much work and that I might not be eligible for a refund.. How can someone go from owing you work to now owing you nothing?!? The legal team here are crooked scum. If you have any sense about you and have a brain, please please PLEASE do not give these pirates your business because you WILL BE hung out to dry with nothing to show for it. I had applied to visa place after seeing their ads online.my experience was very very bad To start with 1) they charge $4000 to put your profile online(there is nothing they do but enter the data you give them) 2) they charge another $4000 once you get ITA My problem started when I sent them my wife's Ielts and eca certificate.a combined score of 466 is what I had to get.my consultant did not upload the documents .i had to mail them on 3 days to ask for my score and there was no reply.when the draw came the cut off was 452 but I did not get invite I mailed my consultant in the morning asking for details.she never called back I had to give her a call.as per her my details were uploaded on Monday but my points did not get uploaded.when I asked if that was true why didn't they write to cic and ask for details .they had no answer This is just s money making business I would not go to them unless I had serious problems in immigration.the good thing is that I stopped 5 of my friends from going there PS:I am a doctor applying within Canada and had all documents I applied on my own and have got a ITA read more

I find from google because of emergency visa to US for my daughter to present her research ,They asked me for 2000 $ and they told me they start and they never told me there is no chance because my daughter was a permanent resident of Canada , then I have to call them , they said we do the best but at least they didn't do anything and I loose my money for nothing ,I was really upset of the way they treat a customer . read more

I paid initial consultation of 100$ to get legal and truthful consultation in which One of their manager mislead me and told me that all my siblings were eligible to apply for immigration. They made me fill applications for everyone in my family myself, provide all documents again and again. All they did was upload the documents. I paid 3500$ for them to just upload documents which even my 10 grade cousin can do. I have firm suspicion that *******THERE IS NO US IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY working in this firm****** or at least he is not involved in any of this or is highly unresponsive, he never called me never was involved he would have advised me that we (siblings) were not eligible (even if were eligible will be refused) and only my parents were eligible. Deceptive advertising.... Avoid these people. Their website is designed to fool the viewer into thinking that they're purchasing a paid 30 minute consultation with an attorney for much lower prices than the same services offered by reputable immigration law firms. However, after reading the reviews here, when I called their US immigration team and asked if the $99 consultation would be with an attorney, the rep told me that the $99 price point was for talking to a "consultant" who, in my understanding, is nothing more than a poorly trained phone operator who's primary purpose is to sell you book additional services for their law firm. Nothing wrong with hones sales practices, of course, but trying to lure unsuspecting people with the appearance of a cheap consultation with a qualified immigration attorney is a low down trick. The price quoted to me for the same consultation with an actual attorney was $297!!, which makes them much more expensive than many of their competitors, some of whom have excellent reviews for their service but might have been considered a little too expensive, especially when compared to the $99 price point advertised by visaplace. Keep beating on this firm with bad reviews until they change the way they advertise their services... read more

review of Visa palace and the alleged law firm Niren and Associates . I paid 1000 USD in advance for assistance with tourist visa to the USA -- This alleged law firm had me send a list of documentation to prove my residence and ties to England which is stipulated on the American visa website and any simple google search . The alleged law firm went on to attempt to charge me 500 USD to mail me back documentation I scanned over to them and I had the originals and could easily and for free make copies of -- they refer to this as ''application materials '' the alleged law firm remained quiet when I pointed this fact out -- the alleged law firm stated '' your legal team has completed their work in your application'' I recived nothing but a link to a the USA embassy website to do a DS-160 visa application for a b1/b2 visa which ''The completed applications are sent to the applicant, and it is the applicant's responsibility to bring the completed application to the US consulate for the applicant's country so that they are able to attend their interview. The application is not mailed to the US consulate on behalf of the applicant. '' This can be paid and done for just over 100 making direct payment and booking with the USA embassy , I have done so before . The only service actually offered by the alleged lawyer is '' we ask that the applicant does not submit it, but rather to have us review it '' So you will pay 2000 USD for a person to send you back copies of you're own documents and read thru you're application with no guaranteed outcome as it is at the discretion of the Immigration officer . The alleged law firm having done absolutely nothing began to demand I pay 500 USD -- The alleged law firm then threatened to debit my account without my permission ,that is simply theft and illegal and it was not justified what I was paying the 500 USD for when I had received nothing for 1000 . Then the alleged law firm threatened to close my case because they had not received 500 USD more for doing nothing . I did not dismiss there service they themselves closed my case having done nothing and refused to refund my 1000 USD and refused to answer my e-mails . I am now pursuing the compliant thru Law Society of Ontario, they charged me 1000 USD , they made an attempt to steal from me and provided no service . I do not recommend anyone to this firm and highly warn anyone against using them for any matter even trivial . read more

very uncompetent and lethargic, we have been dealing with the firm for 2 years to get my permenant residency to join my canadian husband which I believe is not a diificult job to be done .. the first lawyer we were with was very unprofessional and made us go through a visiting visa process which ofcourse ended up to be refused .. And now again our case is with another unprofessional lawyer who has been collecting documents since 2014!! and till now our file was not even sent to the CIC and they never give us good reasons for this delay I have done the medical examination twice because each time it expires in the drawer!! Now not only me and my husband have been separated for 2 years seeing each other a month in a year , i'm already pregnant and can't even imagine for the baby to be born away from his dad. I wonder how a firm with a good reputation like niren would this be the situation . I had to write my negative review because i get really annoyed reading about peaple getting their files completed in months, I doubt its even true . read more
