Tina was great! I got the best haircut I've gotten in a long time. Tina (the owner/stylist) really listens to what you want. Throughout the haircut, she asked me if I wanted to adjust this or that, talked about what she was doing, and it was really helpful in getting the perfect cut that for me will be both easy to maintain, able to dress up, and also really stylish. She nailed it. She also seems like a really great person. Very nice, down to earth, and easy to work with...with a great sense of style & what will work for you. I have had short blonde hair for many years and have gone to many salons in the tri-state area from Lancaster, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and New York. She's very knowledgable having been schooled in beauty in both China and the US. She brings techniques to the table that others don't use, and is very quick. She is the owner of the salon and her prices are very reasonable which is a key factor in why I continue to come here. The salon itself could use some sprucing up, it's generic and has alot of unused space. It'd like to see some decor or something done to elevate it a bit. What falls short for me is that Li is so fast that the experience feels rushed and not relaxed. Also because she moves so fast she sometimes wacks me in the head with the blow dryer and splashes water on my face at the shampoo bowl. Overall the entire process feels a bit rough. A few times I've left without being styled because "she didn't have time", or left not satisfied with the styling as it lacked volumn and product. She does give a solid, layered cut, and has reasonable prices so I'll tolerate the negatives.....for now.

I came to Split Ends in June 2025 for a color correction, transitioning from red to brown. During…read moremy consultation, the stylist recommended bleaching my entire head and assured me that the integrity of my hair would remain intact. Although I already had some previously lightened pieces, my entire head was re-bleached. Unfortunately, the condition of my hair after the service was severely compromised. When I left the salon, my hair felt almost waxy, smelled strongly of bleach for about a week, and experienced significant breakage and damage. I ultimately had to see another stylist to address the damage, and we had to cut 7 inches of my hair to remove the most compromised sections and prevent further breakage. On top of that, I paid $600 for the service. To be fair, the salon itself is beautiful and the staff were friendly. However, the quality and outcome of my particular service were extremely disappointing. It has taken me over a year of care and recovery to get my hair back to a healthier condition, and my hair still has not returned to the length it was before this appointment. I understand that color correction can be a complicated process, but I feel the condition of my hair afterward was unacceptable, especially given the assurance I received during my consultation and the $600 cost of the service. I'm sharing my experience so that anyone considering a major color correction understands the potential risks and makes an informed decision.
