The selling process was the LEAST stressful thing about it all (THANK YOU SO MUCH ADAPT REAL ESTATE!) If you are in the same boat as us, here's some tips we learned from OUR journey: 1. Choose a team you trust. Trust is hard in any business, so we chose a real estate company that displayed integrity through character (understood family balance chaos, active in their communities), and a company that took pride in the quality of their work (social media, reviews, success stories). One factor that stood out to us was their contribution and presence in the communities they represent, especially Solano County. Choosing a team that we trusted helped us feel confident about any further decisions we needed to make regarding the sale of our home. 2. Ask questions, even silly ones! We didn't know ANYTHING about selling our home. Gratefully, we didn't have to because we chose a realtor who knew what HE was doing. 3. (My favorite one)... just sit back and wait for directions. We trusted Adapt to lead the way. Jonathan takes pride in his practice, and his professionalism and his expertise guided us! Few specifics that reassured us during the process: -They came PREPARED!!!!! Met us on the first day with graphics and research about the location, current market trends, similar home comparisons, AND a strategy in mind. The strategy was the most impressive part because the reasoning behind the strategy is the wisdom that can only come through experience. We appreciated that the conversation was collaborative instead of one-sided. We came up with a game plan that we agreed upon together. -The game plan worked! Despite being in a rough market (October 2023), we received an offer the VERY next day after being on the market. Specific to our home, the buyers also had to agree to assuming a solar loan with the sale, Jonathan communicated that condition very tactfully and successfully. -My husband and I were responsible for cleaning and keeping the home tidy for showings, but EVERYTHING ELSE was handled by their team: open houses, social media advertising, videos, photos, signs, flyers, EVERYTHING! We just said "yes, go for it" and THEY. GOT. IT. DONE. -We let them know that texting is preferred (our little kids are too loud for phone conversations). For us, it helps our communication be concise, efficient, and clear! I felt that Jonathan and Zherr-Anne understood and respected that which made it easier for us to communicate! -Jonathan understood OUR goal as a family. Everyone has their own goal--whether it's financial (let's get the most we can), time (let's make it happen ASAP), or unique to your situation. Our goal was "as easy and less stressful as possible.
