I was looking for a corporate team bonding activity and No 1 Escapes was perfect! They have 2 rooms that I could reserve at the same time. Definitely one of the better escape rooms in the area! I've done both Treasure of the Nation and Jester's Revenge and I gotta say, both were excellent! Treasure of the Nation (4.5/5): This room had great decorations! The puzzles were certainly unique and also challenging. I did this room with a team of engineers and I personally felt like most of the puzzles were geared towards those who are more "math-y" and think with the left side of their brains. There were personally a few puzzles that I could not have figured out if they weren't there with me, but hey, that's the perk of bringing engineers along! Overall, it was still a great room and there were puzzles that I solved that the engineers couldn't :D Jester's Revenge (5/5): One of my favorite rooms of all time!!! This room was sooooooooo fun! My friends and I all had a great time in this room! This room required great communication skills and teamwork. There were definitely puzzles in this room that I had never seen before. But what I loved the most about the room was that everything was extremely logical in a creative way. Nothing was too far out there and you didn't need outside knowledge. If you just thought creatively, you could probably solve the puzzle. The room was paced well as there were small easier puzzles that helped you feel like progress was being made as well as tougher puzzles that took longer to solve. Everything about this room was just plain awesome and I would highly recommend this room to anybody!!! read more

Bought this as a gift. Guest had the worst experience. Never again. The organizer at the door was very rude from the start and seemed to hate his job. Guest arrived right at 5 pm which was the start of their time, directions were not provided to come earlier. The person who greeted us immediately stated well since you're late you only have 50 mins left. They could have given us grace and let us finish our time. I would give 10 stars if I could. I had this crazy concept to propose to my girlfriend in an escape room. When I spoke with the owner, Brian, he was so excited to help make this a reality. He worked with me to get every inch of the room ready and every detail worked down to the second. My girlfriend and I started off solving puzzles in a small room, I then got a "work call" and stepped out of the room. She proceeded to solve the lock that led her into the next room where I was waiting to pop the question. It is a moment we will remember for the rest of our lives. For our first escape room we had a great time. Even though the Revolutionary War theme is based in historical info. We did not need to be a history buff, all clues were within the room. Know that this business is located upstairs, we did not see any ADA accessible way to get up otherwise. If your challenged with mobility this may not be the place for you. read more

I wrote a review on this business and the assistant manager wrote me back with nothing but excuses and lies and I don't really appreciate that. I was told that that air conditioning has been broken for a long time and that they will never get it fixed and the air vent doesn't help anything it was hotter than Hell in there and honestly I would love to get my money back, and disturbing bugs and cockroaches are not a good thing for a game I've been in many escape rooms and this one I have to say probably was my least favorite. Please don't write anything regarding my own review. And please don't make it seem like it's an issue that I didn't like a bunch of disgusting fake bugs everywhere I actually accidentally stepped on one and I thought it was real That's pretty horrific especially when you don't let people know. You can at least offer cold water if it's going to be that hot. read more

I book this with a Groupon for some family fun over the holidays. I wanted to add a few more people to the booking, and the staff members were extremely gracious in doing so. We had an absolute blast! While we have been to several escape rooms, this one was just perfect in terms of the skill level. I cannot say more than enough about the staff. Can't believe I forgot to review this place! One of my higher top rated escape rooms was the Jester's revenge. I like the separation mechanic. It was fun to figure out what we should do to get back together as a whole group. I don't think the separation is a spoiler they tell you you're gonna be separated at the start. My group was the 6th one to finish this room with 0 hints. That's like out of 300 people who have finished it already or so. The workers were really cool and nice. read more

We booked the revolution room and we had a blast. I thought it would be easy and shouldn't take much time. However, we escaped with 1.5 minute left on thr clock. The clues were very well designed and smart. The reception girl was very friendly and helpful. I recommend this to anyone and I am looking forward to go back to try the other room. read more

My gf and I have done a ton of escape rooms (15+) and we both agreed that this one was one of the least liked experiences we've had so far. And for reference we did the Jester room. Still so surprised this place has a 5 star rating on Yelp. It started immediately after we got to the place. The game master was the most unenthusiastic one I've encountered and we felt like she just did NOT want to be there in any shape or form. I can still hear her asking us in the most monotone way possible "are you guys ready for the story." then proceeding to what felt like read through a class presentation in that same I-dont-want-to-be-here voice. Then came the room itself. It was super basic when it comes to aesthetic and definitely not immersive at all. But, that's fine as we've done other rooms as basic as this one. But the puzzles...it's hard to describe their difficulty. It felt as though they were easy puzzles that were twisted to be super confusing and hard, just for the sake of being confusing and hard. Usually harder puzzles have a little more creativity to them in most of the other room we've done. Not to mention the zombie game master never let us know that one of the locks needed some extra strength to make sure it unlocks. That set us back about 10 minutes alone, which we needed to finish the room. When I asked for a clue, stumped on what I needed to do next, she just pointed out the puzzle I already knew I needed to finish in order to solve the lock combo...which if she was paying attention, I had already solved and inputted into my lock. So I stood there confused wondering if this was another dumb easy-but-hard-just-to-be-hard puzzle and if my answer was wrong as the lock wasn't opening. Out of pure frustration, I just aggressively tugged on the lock and low and behold it opened up. All the game master needed to say for the clue was "you already have the answer. give the lock a harder tug" or something. Cool, we failed the room, no biggy as that happens. It just sucks that we failed due to the incompetency of the game master actually caring enough to help us properly. Usually after we fail a game, the GM will ask if we have any questions or if we want to know how to solve certain problems that we weren't able to do. Nope not this one. She just stood there awkwardly and it made us feel like she really wanted us to hurry up and leave them. So, I had to ask a couple questions, which were answered in the shortest answers possible, again making us feel super unwanted there. Honestly, we would've given this room alone a 3 star review, however because of the game master and the experience they gave us we are leaving it at a 1 star. read more
