Prior to moving into my new home I wanted to get the carpets cleaned to handle pet odor and some staining. I chose 7 Pillars as I wanted to support a small, local business and I loved that their business name seemed to indicate they are Christian-owned. At the first appointment, 7 Pillars was on time and finished the job quicker than anticipated. The estimate was substantially higher than anticipated, though not unreasonable, as they charge extra for the solutions they use for stain removal and pet odor. Unfortunately, after the carpets dried, they didn't seem to be in much better shape than before they were cleaned. So I called the company and they offered to come back and redo it free of charge. The redo appointment was canceled the day of due to an issue with their equipment- fine, don't come back yet if we're going to have the same problem. When the appointment actually happened a couple of days later, the guy was late but worked hard to address the issues and totally re-did the rooms - I would've likely been fine with just spot cleaning! Did all of the spots come out? No. Do I fault the company for that? Not after seeing how hard the man tried to make things right and after doing some research on stains. This company's integrity is worthy to be lauded but don't expect them to work full miracles on your carpet if that's what may be needed. Know that it may be more expensive than their coupon indicates. Also know that in working with a small business, there can be challenges that are annoying to the customer but be patient and remember you're supporting real people here!

Luckily they do good employees. The employees took it to my basement and cleaned it. They told me I could put it back in 24 hours. I lifted the rug and the floor was moist. I think it was moist enough that it could have damaged my wood floors. I have tried twice to call them today and get an answering machine. If you have padding I think they're fine. I flipped the 11'x8' rug over to finish drying for day two. I'm glad I had a basement to clean it in and the carried it down to clean it. Your call.

DAR Construction LLC hired roofer to install new roof and was incompetent in supervision and quality control of work. I advised DAR Construction to ensure all bad wood was replaced and to make sure roof was satisfactory before final payment was made to subcontractor. They stated roof looked great and they were thoroughly satisfied. I looked at roof myself after DAR had already made payment to subcontractor, and informed them that the roof was unacceptable in multiple areas and was very disappointed. DAR Construction LLC stated the roofing contractor came back out to house to fix roof, but after I went back to review work completed the roof was still in the exact same condition as was originally after they replaced. After continually requesting needed action to take place, was told I could meet with subcontractor. Asked what time I could meet with them and was never received any response. At this time, I have no faith in DAR Construction or VIP Roofing and Remodeling LLC to replace roof in satisfactory condition. I am requesting a full refund of $7,200 given to DAR Construction for roof replacement. My request for refund of roof payment from DAR Construction is a reflection of their poor performance and management of roofing subcontractor (VIP Roofing and Remodeling LLC) under their supervision. Failure to correct issues of poor work performed: o Uneven roof structure o Dipping in multiple areas o Overall unsatisfactory quality of craftsmanship o Lack of Communication o Failure to follow through and execute requested re-work I am completely dissatisfied with the result of the poor performance and management of DAR Construction LLC and that of their business associates have exhibited. However, over the 22 yrs our vapor barrier installed when the house was new, had become very dirty. Additionally, in 2017 we did some renovations which required plumbers and electricians to work under the house. Unfortunately, all these comings and goings across our vapor barrier had ripped it in places. Plus the builder had used a lighter weight plastic. I had 4 different people look at replacing my barrier. I had 3 bids and Justin had the best bid. Justin and his 2 helpers showed up around 9am. They went right to work. It took them about 5 hours working almost nonstop except for water breaks. The finished product was even better than I expected. Photos attached.
