All of our coffees are purchased from independent coffee importers that source exceptional specialty coffees directly from small farms, co-ops and respectable trading partners, paying above and beyond Fair Trade minimums. This ensures that farmers are directly compensated for the quality of their coffees and encouraged to continuously improve cup quality. Our tasting bar is a place to meet, learn and immerse yourself in a proper cup of coffee, without distractions. An intentional space with an educational approach to discuss where the coffees come from, how to brew a perfect cup and the roasting process. We'll help you discover your flavour preferences and even match a brewing device to fit your lifestyle. Every week hosts an opportunity to discover something new and delve into the intricacies of a particular coffee, carefully prepared by us to engage all of your senses. It is a place that allows us to grow and engage with our community, a place where we can all slow down, get to know each other and enjoy good company.

History

Established in 2015.

No6 Coffee Co. started with a graphic designer working in a shared office and a home roasting setup consisting of a motorized Whirley-Pop, an electric burner and a colander. Beans got shared and demand slowly grew. Two years later the roastery was expanded to a 2-3 person operation and a 5kg Diedrich roaster downtown Nelson.
