Ok do I even know how to play the flute if my life depended on it, to let alone be worthy of being positioned in front of a production board!?! Hahaha! I got my old ones from Blacks years ago (no wonder…read morethey went out of business!) and they were so bad that I have had border agents LAUGH at my photo because I looked like I was having a very rough day. Stumbled upon Superbest Photos on Yelp and it was conveniently located downtown. Went on my lunch break to get my passport photos done and what a difference!!! They use professional lighting here so you don't look like you have perma-RBF since you can't smile in passport photos anymore. They also took multiple shots and let me pick the best one. Service was great and fast and honestly the best passport photos I have had in a while. I recently came back to get my headshots done, also very happy with the results. Anthony was great and really made sure I was happy with the results. They have a $49 option without retouching, and a $99 option with retouching included. Anthony actually told me I probably didn't need the $99 option (awww!) and I was very happy with the final product. I got the photos the same day, an hour later and he made sure the lighting was good! I remember getting my passport photos and school photos done waaaay back in the day in studios like this, so not only was it a nostalgic experience, but also phenomenal service and a great business overall. They also have their Yelp award proudly displayed and I can see why. If you are reading this review, I urge you to get your photo done here, this is a great way to support a good local business and there is truly a big difference to what you will get from a LD or Shoppers!

Emily is undoubtedly proficient and passionate about her work, which shows through her pictures! My fiance and I were on a week long trip beginning from Oregon to Washington and finished in Vancouver. Months leading up to our excursion, I was searching for a 'proposal' photographer in the area where we will spend the last couple of days of our trek. I had a specific look in mind, and after going through many photographers nothing matched my vision. At that point I came across Emily's page on here, I was somewhat hesitant from the number of reviews she had, however when i viewed her site, and social media page I was sold! I booked her immediately! Emily was extremely receptive to my questions and suggestions. She helped to ease my mind by sharing her experiences and going through different possibilities which made me feel more comfortable. Since she's a local to the area, she was able to handle everything I tossed at her. Even leading up to the 'huge day', she confirmed my final location and how she was going to set herself up in order to capture the right angles while staying incognito (she wore a black trench coat like Inspector Gadget and had like 3 cameras under it - it was amazing!). Capilano Bridge is a wonderful well-protected park only a couple of minutes North of Vancouver. This was the perfect place for a memorable proposal over their popular 140 meters suspension bridge. After the nerve-racking minute (She said, Yes! What's more, I didn't drop the ring!). She had the two of us model for her all through the park. She made us feel really comfortable by becoming acquainted with us as a team and suggesting the best ways to pose for the camera. Once Emily warmed up, you could tell that this wasn't her first rodeo (whatever that means); she would set up her shots by moving all through the bridges and platforms like a feline, while my Fiance and I remained there thinking about whether she would ever return. Haha, it was great! To sum everything up. We are more than grateful for the opportunity to work with Emily Nicole and couldn't have picked a better photographer to capture this special moment. She thinks about connecting with her customers and thus you feel good and engaged while on the photoshoot. Since we didn't get to get ready together on her real wedding day, I hired Michael to capture some photos of all the sisters getting ready, and I'm so glad I did! It was super easy to communicate with Michael from across the country before the reception, and on the day he was on time, super friendly and easy to work with. After interviewing a few different places I decided to go with Carlos, largely because of his overwhelmingly positive Yelp reviews. Trust me, the reviews ring true. Carlos can be best described as a "true artist" rather than a mere business proprietor. While his studio is profitable, he prioritizes the production of outstanding client outcomes ahead of fiscal gain. I headed into the shoot with very high expectations, and Carlos met or exceeded all of them. While the "executive" package I purchased produces five distinct shots, which are delivered ~3 business days after the shoot, I was blown away to receive the lead shot for LinkedIn (expedited at no extra cost) less than two hours after my shoot. Have already noticed a significant increase in LinkedIn page views after uploading the new photo. Carlos delivers great photo outcomes, but I was most intrigued by how he does so. He spent over two hours with me, engaging in a style of photography that is powered by what can best be described as an "emotional matrix". He had me talking about various emotionally moving parts of my life, and it was at certain emotional high points of conversation that he seemed to capture the best photos.
