This is probably one of my most favorite restaurants in Glen Ellyn. And the fact that my child can enjoy several menu items makes it a family-friendly spot. It's casual style but elevated menu makes it a destination where you can impress your out-of-town guests. Their lunch menu is great, as well as their dinner menu - the pulled pork sandwich is so savery, and served with the sweet potato fries - YUM! But their weekend brunch is fantastic! The chicken and biscuits... WOW! I always get the gravy on the side because the chicken and biscuits are delish all on their own. The French toast is divine, and the Bloody Mary is perfectly spicy. I ordered the Adult Mac and cheese on grub hub. I don't know what they serve in the restaurant, but for a $23 dollar dish, add $8 for grilled chicken, this is piss poor. Its pasta, cheese sauce and bread crumb. You couldn't fill the container? For $31?? Wtf. Besides the fact that I ordered grilled chicken. Grilled chicken isn't pink, smoked chicken is, and this is pink. Having said that - it's very good adult mac, and very good smoked chicken, but not what I ordered in terms of chicken or quantity that I was expecting for the price. This is one of our go to places! I've ordered and gone to the restaurant several times and I've never had anything that didn't taste good! So many smoked meat options to choose from but if you're not in the mood for that there's always a burger or even delicious salad choice for you! Some favorites are the rib tips, nachos, and salmon Caesar salad. Drink menu is extensive and can always find a beer on the menu I want to drink. Even on busy nights service is quick and attentive. Atmosphere is casual and family friendly too. Definitely recommend for groups too! read more

Great space, it's open and nicely decorated. A few too many TVs for my liking -all set to sports- but I could see how that appeals to others. I just needed a chill, well-lit place to cram in some schoolwork mid-day while eating something healthy, and Nobel House was a good fit. Healthy vegetarian option, Diet Coke, crazy good sweet potato fries. Excellent service-very attentive and friendly. Free street parking. Loved it. read more

Good food, poor service. During busy times, the servers have way too many tables to provide adequate service. Long ticket times on the food (though I actually think this is because our server forgot to put in our order), and was kind of grossed out that our server stores his order booklet inside the backside of his jeans, as in touching underpants... great smash burger, but priced at $20, probably won't revisit. read more

Had a lovely meal and experience at Nobel House. The weather was gorgeous so we decided to come to Nobel House and grab dinner. Our waiter was AWESOME! I wish I remembered his name, but he was so nice and humored our two year old who demanded he take a seat while taking our order. Awesome cocktails here. loved the strawberry bliss. Not too sweet, and super refreshing. Food was also delicious. Had the Cuban sandwich with a side of brussel sprouts. The sprouts are sooo good! Huge portions as well, so grab a to-go box or split a meal. My husband is obsessed with their lobster rolls here. Be sure to get one if you're a lobster roll fan. read more

Nobel House in Geneva is great, and since Glen Ellyn is closer to home, we stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon to check it out.   SERVICE:   While it was somewhat busy, we were seated right away.  OUR ONLY COMPLAINT: slow waiter.  But that's not enough reason to keep us away.   ATMOSPHERE:   Typical industrial looking bar/restaurant with exposed ceilings, dark seating, and wood.  I loved the huge light fixtures, very cozy place.    FOOD & DRINK:   Drinks.  Nice-sized drink menu.  If you are a fan of a sweet stout...you MUST try the Southern Tier S'mores Stout (Nitro).  It's $9 for what seemed like 12 oz, but it's so worth it.  (Here's a tip:  get the stout along with the campfire skillet dessert that I'll describe later on).   Nashville Hot sandwich with onion rings:  Husband liked it, and ate every speck off his plate, but said it needed a good blue cheese or ranch sauce.  He wasn't sure if the sauce they gave him was meant to go on the sandwich, or as a dip for the onion rings. Tasted better with the rings.   Fish Tacos with brussels sprouts:  Both were equally delicious.  I ended up making two meals out of it because the pieces of fish on each taco are nice and large.  Those sprouts though... stuff of my dreams. So buttery and crispy, with shredded parmesan.  I'm a sucker for a good sprout dish.   Campfire Skillet dessert:  Skip appetizers at least once so you can get this dessert instead (heck, why not get both?!)  This is a s'mores skillet cookie with graham crackers, toasted marshmallows, 2 scoops of ice cream and caramel - and it's huge, so don't go it alone!    We are definitely coming back again for the food...not so much the service.  I'm hoping to make it a new neighborhood favorite! read more

Heard this is the new hot spot in Glen Ellyn so I came here for weekend brunch. Walking in, the space has a great atmosphere. There are several TVs which gives this place a upscale sports bar vibe. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken benny and burnt ends skillet. I thought the Nashville chicken was okay, I wish it was spicier. It was also a little too spicy off my liking. I didn't think I would like the burnt ends skillet but the burnt ends tasted so good! The potatoes were bigger than I like in a skillet but the burnt ends make up for it. A quick lunch at Nobel House left us hungry for more (in a good way!). This is a pretty sizable restaurant with a bar along half of one wall and plenty of tables of varying sizes that can accommodate whatever you throw at them. There is ample lighting and the staff is welcoming and friendly. The food is of the BBQ variety and they seem to have a little bit of everything to offer. That is great, but makes it hard to choose what you want! We certainly had that problem but ultimately were very happy with our meals. They pretty much cover all the bases as far as BBQ and the sides but I would like to see a hot/spicy sauce offered. The sauces they do have (only two?) were very tasty though! It's very nice to have a new BBQ joint right here in downtown Glen Ellyn. If it's anything this town needs, it's a good variety of different foods! I know we'll be back in the near future. read more

We set out to this location in search of Chicago's Best poutine fries. They use a handheld device to take orders and settle payments, it really does speed up your food delivery. The poutine arrived and was more room temperature than hot. Brisket and pulled pork were tasty, gravy was good and fries were ok. Portion was very generous. We split the Nashville hot sandwich and it was more sweet than hot. Ps Popeyes has a better chicken sandwich. Don't think I'll be back. read more

I met a friend here for dinner and drinks. It was both of our first times out in public during the pandemic. We sat at a socially distant table and had a server who seemed relatively aware of the expectations of serving us during this time. We enjoyed the burnt ends as an appetizer and both got their take on the Cuban sandwich. This was certainly the highlight! I would say their cocktail menu was solid but craft beer selection was average at best. This is definitely a great food place! We'll be coming back. read more

We ordered delivery tonight after reading good reviews. We got ribs, brisket, pulled pork and ham. It was okay. Ribs weren't tender and not fall off the bone. Brisket wasn't fatty and dry. Pulled pork and ham, same. I did like the flavor of the wings until I realized the one I was eating was under cooked. Fries were good. BBQ, I'll stick with Mission or Steamboat....Bub City. Gosh I haven't been able to find good brisket in the burbs. We miss the brisket from Blackwoods in the city. Now that was fabulous and mouth watering! Anyhow, we unfortunately didn't enjoy it dinner tonight. You do get a good amount of food for the money though. This all came to about $60 including delivery. read more

We were attracted to the BBQ items on the website and decided to dine in for the first time. Food portions are large, sides are good, but the BBQ burnt ends and brisket were just average. Went to this place on a Friday evening and were seated promptly (not terribly busy). We waited for 15 minutes and were never acknowledged by a server despite tables being turned around us and other servers just standing around. We have been here before (food is decent, but not really differentiated from Q BBQ or Mission BBQ), but really disappointed with the lack of service received. I was excited to give Noble House another try after a fairly unremarkable experience a year ago. Called in to place an order which ended up taking 10 minutes - 5 minutes of waiting followed by a really awkward ordering experience. I was told it wouLd be ready at 11:30AM. Fast forward to around 11:30 and I'm told they're just packing up the order and it'll be a few minutes. End up leaving with food at noon. Yes, 30 minutes wait which means they didn't start making our food until we got there, what a concept. Arrive at home and surprise , one entree is missing! I called and was asked if I paid for it. He checks and yes it was paid for. Then get disconnected by them and have to call back. They said they'll remake it and to come on in. Stop by and am given the cold treatment. Bartender apologies but doesn't even offer a water while I am waiting. So service from multiple people was absolutely terrible, the worst service. Food review: Salads - all had spoiled lettuce, the Swiss chard was the worst I've seen served. BBQ - Overpriced and low quality. Brussel sprouts - yum, would order just these if I had to, however service was sooo bad I won't be back. In short this place seems to be in turmoil, employees didn't seem to want to help one another or the customers. We came into Noble House this evening at 5:45 pm . After being seated we noticed no employees were wearing masks including the hostess, bartender, cook and the two servers. Hello .... we are in the middle of a Covid surge and there is currently an indoor mask mandate in Illinois. We were very surprised an establishment like this would give no regard to the health and safety of others. After being seating for about 10 minutes without being offered any service we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. Giving a 2 star rating based on my meal Saturday night. Ordered the $17 chicken sandwich and could only eat half of it due to how tough/chewy it was. It was by far the worst chicken sandwich I've had. I told our waiter and he apologized but did not offer any kind of discount. My family and I did not care for this restaurant. I would not recommend it. The food is average and the service was below average. The macaroni and cheese tasted weird and the tater tots fell apart. What's the deal with that? The brisket was too chewy. They didn't have two beers that were listed on the menu and I asked for a child's orange juice three times and was charged a ridiculous amount for it. Our waitress was inattentive and unfriendly and brought the wrong check. I would say the food is overpriced for the quality. The only good thing about the place is that they had the games on. I've been there in person a few times and had good experiences with the sandwiches. I ordered via Uber eats and got the ribs. The ribs were the worst I have ever had anywhere. They were dry and tough, to the point that I was struggling to pull the bones apart. I was struggling to cut them apart too. They seemed like they were a week old and reheated. Sports Bar Ageism in Glen Ellyn This was late on a Sat afternoon, but it was busier than I thought. I like to try out all the new restaurants. The hostess took me past the 6 or so busy tables at front. I thought she'd take me to the next empty table. No. All the way to the back, with the menu placed at the chair so I would face the back! I changed and sat in the side chair. I was suspect already. Food OK. Slaw very soupy and very sweet. Get again? No. Sandwich fine. Waiter being very cute with little jokes. I was due some coins back with change. Didn't get them. He pocketed them, enticing me to give bigger tip. He caught me off guard, which is what he intended to do. They don't want customers with gray hair, even if you have money. Too bad. With the coming parking crunch in a block with 8 restaurants, I hope they get knocked out. read more

Stopped in today for lunch with my two sisters. It feels like it took forever for this place to open up and was very eager to try. After thorough discussion after our meal, we would have loved to give the place 3.5 stars, but didn't quite hit the 4 star mark. There were both some highs and lows with the meal. The interior is very nice and higher end. We started off with a few drinks. I ordered the house special Manhattan which was very good. It's always nice to see a place use a Luxardo cherry as a garnish for your drink. In my opinion it's a sign of good things going into your glass. If you haven't tried these cherries for your drinks, you are missing out and need to at least spend the premium for these babies once. I followed up this drink with an old fashioned, which was not a specialty drink on the list, but one of my go to's. It wasn't as good as the first drink and it came with the much lesser quality bright red cherries. Don't swap out cherries to the lesser quality after someone was given a good one. That's just my opinion. Now the women each had sangria. It probably wasn't a good sign that after they both immediately took a sip they started adding some of their water to the wine. They both agreed that it was way too sweet. I did not try, as wine and sangria are not my area of expertise, but I fully trust their opinion. The appetizer list is plentiful. I'd love to come back just to grab a few drinks and eat through this list. I'll attach photos of the menu for you to see. We ended up ordering the dynamite shrimp which were excellent. The portion size was more than adequate and came with an amazing side dipping sauce. The table loved the appetizer and was in such good spirits for the meals to come. The main meals we decided to order all different ones as well as different sides so that we could explore the menu a bit further. We ordered the Nashville hot sandwich, which is a buffalo chicken sandwich with a honey glaze and pickles. This seemed to be the winner of all three meals, and sadly it wasn't mine. Lol. The other meals were the pulled pork tacos and the two&two which is choice of two of their smoked meats. I decided on the pulled pork and half slab of ribs. This place is very heavy on the menu with BBQ and smoked meats, which I think is great. The pulled pork and bbq left very much to be desired however. All of the pork was extremely dry and seemed like it wasn't cooked anywhere near the same day. The entire table agreed with how dry it was for both the tacos and bbq sampler. They serve the meats with two bbq sauces. One ketchup based and one vinegar. I tend to lean towards the ketchup based sauces and thought it was alright, although the women didn't like the sauces at all. Now as far as the side dishes go, the macaroni and cheese is a winner. The entire tabled loved the richness and creaminess of this and could have made a meal out of just this. The French fries are just that, and can't complain about them. The Brussels sprouts could have been amazing, but the entire table agreed they were under seasoned. After adding the needed salt, they instantly became another winner amongst the food. All in all, it's the first week they have been opened and need to work out a few kinks. The service was friendly and excellent and we didn't have a problem there. In fact all of the staff was very friendly. The food just fell short in some areas, especially the bbq in which the menu is heavily weighted. Awesome smoke flavor to it all, but extremely dry. This place can easily be a place to grab a drink and start barreling through the list of appetizers. I'd like to stop back in again after being open a while longer. read more

Trying to give the benefit of the doubt that they just have some kinks to work out with service, but it was painfully slow. We were seated almost immediately but then didn't see another staff member for easily 15 minutes, when we got water and then another 7-10 minutes before our next contact and it never improved. Nice atmosphere though. Appetizer took forever and honestly, we only ordered it because we were starving and saw how long food was taking and thought it would come quickly enough to help. No such luck. The tots were just OK and really needed some sauce on the side. I watched food sit at the pass for lengthy periods of time, with only one server moving items out to tables. It was so full of food that the kitchen was holding plates because there was no room. No wonder my mac & cheese was room temperature when our meals finally came. I have a few concerns over the food temperature/safety measures based on what I saw, but I'm also pretty particular... The server offered to have it remade but I declined because I'd already lost my appetite (and it was rubbery and a weird sauce - don't recommend it even if it had been hot - it's like the stuff from a bad diner.) I also desperately wanted to eat and leave at that point. I hadn't planned for lunch to be a 90-minute affair. My burger was just OK and lacked seasoning. My friends food was the same - not impressive and not something I'd want to order again. read more
