I brought my daughter there requesting acrylics. Although we called ahead of time and specifically said we wanted acrylics, the response when we got there was, 'we'll do gel, better for your nail.' An hour and a hundred dollars later, we leave with a set of press-on nails that one popped off literally a few hours after getting them done. I would have done them myself if she wanted press-on nails. Extremely disappointed, and will not be returning. read more

We have been using Nobility for a few years now. We went yesterday, with appointments, for pedicures with additional callous treatments (our usual treatment at Nobility). We have never felt so rushed. Something has definitely changed, because what used to be a 40 minute treatment was about 25 minutes. The callous removal part of the treatment that we paid additional for was so rushed that it was ineffective...as was the hot paraffin moisturizer part of the treatment. And to top it all off, my nail polish looked like a two-year-old applied it. I get that rent is not cheap, but if you take appointments and then try to accommodate all the walk-ins, the quality of your work is negatively affected. This is a very short-sighted approach to running a business as now you have lost long term customers! Very disappointing, but there are many other salons to choose from in the area, so that's what we will be doing in the future. read more

Staff was nice. The atmosphere is cold and not relaxing. Place is huge and to wide open. I got a spa pedicure the woman was so ruff!! Not relaxing at all!!! At the end she tied the paper towel around my toes, so tight literally my toes turning blue I had to rip it off. The staff constantly talks to each other in their own language out loud. The end result my gel manicure looks very nice. A woman named Nancy did my manicure. My pedicure looks good but honestly for the money I could go somewhere else where the atmosphere is much more relaxing. And I found the massage that they give you was just rough. Starting off by saying they give a wonderful pedicure- even just a basic is well worth the money. Decided to give this place a second chance- unfortunately I don't think I'll give them another one. We went in for pedicures, with no appointment which we expect to wait a bit obviously. The owner - I'm assuming - said we could come over to the chairs. She filled each pedi tub with about 3 inches of warm water and walked away. No one asked us what kind of pedi we wanted and no one came over. Then an older woman came in saying she had an appointment. She got her nails and toes done AND a mother and daughter walked in and got their toes done and we were still sitting there with now ice cold water. We were waiting for over 45 minutes. Then they finally got to us they said they didn't have time to do the aroma therapy pedi they also gave us probably a ten minute pedicure. Luckily, it only cost about $28 but still- in the time we were waiting, you could have done the pedicure we asked for and If we walked in at 11 and your appointment was for 11:30 the owner definitely could have at least gotten one of us done. read more

I have been coming to Nobility for over 4 years. Everyone is so friendly and the salon is super clean. I won't go anywhere else.

I found them to be very impersonal and inexperienced. I came for a mani pedi on a Friday. It was dead. So no excuses for being busy. Good communicative English was a solid struggle. But they sure enjoyed talking to each other the whole time. 2 different people for a mani pedi, again, they weren't busy. Lacked focus during the pedicure. Not being my 1st or even 100th mani/pedi, I'd know a professional one as the end result & length of its staying power would speak for itself. Nope! This was at best, preformed by inexperienced staff w zero enthusiasm. I bring my own polish. My mani was Essie Ballet Slippers, very universal. She applied 3 coats w/o asking (takes longer to dry) because both 1st & 2nd coats lacked ample polish! And she didn't bring the top coat over the edge of my nails. My pedi didn't leave my feet really soft and I had to keep explaining she needed to clean the polish off my cuticles. Really??! Nothing irks me more than simply "going through the motions" which yields sub par results. I've had superb mani/pedi for less than $37! Not pleased. Not suggested. read more

I have been to the salon three or four times and really loved the way they did my nails. The last time I was there I had a different technician and my manicure started cracking on day two. It was a powder gel manicure and that never happened to me before. I went to get it fixed and the woman in charge was very rude never once acknowledged that they possibly made a mistake when doing my nails.My nails were redone and they told me it would be $40. And I said oh I'm sorry I am not going to pay for this this is a do over I was just in here for days ago. She never even looked at me just not on her head and let me walk out the door without so much as an OK I hope you're happy now or I'm sorry you had to come back and waste your time. I hope you have better luck there than I did it's a really nice salon but that was a big turn off for me and I will not be returning. read more

My wife's bad experience: The staff in this nail salon is very rude. I was so excited to go get my toe nails done and when they were done I felt very frustrated and taken advantage of. They upsale you on EVERYTHING! If you are planning on going there be sure to set the price before they start. I went in with a hurt knee and was yelled at for moving too slow. Decided to try this place out due to recently moving to Oxford and receiving a 20% off coupon in the mail. The place is beautiful and clean inside and the staff are very friendly. I got the basic pedicure and it was wonderful. They took their time on my feet and used a hot stone at the end. After my pedicure I got a gel manicure which was also beautiful. For a nail salon smack in the middle of Oxford, the prices are fine. You can find somewhere cheaper a couple miles away but it's for convenience. For 12 bucks you get a manicure with paraffin wax, a brief back massage as well as a hand massage. On an early Saturday morning where I just need to get my nails in check, it's a quick yet relaxing 30 minutes so it does crowd up my day. Can't speak on pedicures or any other service but I do have to say its incredibly clean so I'd trust sticking my feet in the tubs. read more

I needed a nice treat for myself and Nobility provided. Not only was the service prompt but it went above and beyond what was expected. The location is very clean and professional as are the staff, who listen to your needs. There was even a nice shoulder rub included as my nails dried that simply topped off the excellent service! The prices here are crazy! What is it like $50 for a gel set? I get it done for $30 now at Angel Tips instead! Also, for $50 sum dollars you'd think you'd get good service, right? Wrong. They're always so busy you'll be left waiting for 10-15 minutes at a time while they do other things. I've had a nail tech walk out the door and leave me waiting! Every single time I went I was there for at least an hour and a half to two hours--and that's when I made an appointment! Not to mention I always left this nail salon in pain! It didn't matter which nail tech I got, someone would nick me with the file --I've even had my nail filed down way too much to the point I got burned! I didn't know how bad I had it until I went to Angel Tips. Never going back to this place. read more

The employees (Michelle, Mandy, Anna, Jenny, etc) at Nobility are wonderful, polite and always helpful to your needs. All of their services are great. The place is exceptionally clean and sanitary compared to other salons in the area. Yes, there can be a wait when you walk-in without an appointment, but they always give you the approximate wait time to adjust your schedule accordingly. First time I came, I got powder gel and within 2 days my nails started cracking and chipping. My friends did too and she went the same day. They gave us a coupon for it being our first time so we came back the second time thinking maybe it was just whoever did our nails. Came back the second time and my nails came out bumpy, thick, and uneven. My powder gel was rushed. For $40 every time it's not worth it. Maybe for a pedicure. I went to this nail salon for the first time yesterday. Walking into this place I thought they were going to be welcoming and experienced but they were the exact opposite. I got the guy which was doing my acrylic fill, he had no idea how to even lay the powder on my nails. It got so bad to the point someone else had to come take over for him. He got through 2 nails and it took him 10 minutes. On top of that I asked him to cut down my nails a little bit...and he cut them down alright. He cut them all the way down to nubs when he knew that is not what I wanted. Lastly, I put my hand in the uv light 14 TIMES!!! I got French tips and he made me put my hand under the light for each finger. After that I had to put my hand under the uv light 3 times for the top coat. I know that this was very excessive and unnecessary. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon and I would not recommend this place to anyone! Poor poor service DO NOT COME HERE!! read more

First time going there and the place is nice, some of the staff is friendly, but overpriced and they are not worried about leaving you to wait around. I went in for a gel set and was started on right away. As soon as the girl finished gluing on the nails, a regular client of hers came in and left me sitting there to wait for another girl to finish with another client to then work on me. I waited 10-15 minutes to finally have someone help cut the glued on nails and continue with putting on the gel. The girl needs to learn to speed it up and listen to what the client wants especially when it comes to length. I had to ask 2 times to have them shortened and still was not the length I wanted. When she was almost done she had the decency to tell me that I need to make an appointment the next time I come in so I won't have to wait, even though they weren't that busy. It shouldn't take almost 2 hours (with waiting) to get nails put on. If you don't mind someone taking their time and paying an arm and a leg for nails, this is the place for you. read more
