As a considerate man, I took the time to consider why Noble Pies, a noble land, didn't have more reviews. Consistently, this store is filled to the brim. Its inventory is always sold out. Or is it always an illusion? I considered. But in considering this consideration I consequented that by chance rather than consequence, Noble Pies doesn't have many a review. And then by consequence of a lack of reviews, I considered how my consideration of stars to give may impact it's on average constellation. 4 stars and seven prominent constellations ago... or 5 stars for all the marbles. I did consider, I did compare to other pies and then I contemplated. I contemplated the consequences of my considerations. On the public, on the store, and on my future karma. I like these pies. And I've had some pies recently from elsewhere that did not compare. Pies are almost like pizza in that they are usually at the least edible. But a good pie, is actually great, ya know? A pie, is a pie AND that is surelllly sooooo. Don't count me out, count me in. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5!!! OFFF THE FLOOOOR AND ON THE BOARDDDD. SEEE YAAAAA. Just in time delivery. These pies are good. I had heard rumblings of a Noble Pies opening in Tarrytown for a while - I remember being in the area sometime last year and saw signs of its impending opening. At that time, I didn't know anything about the company, however after some quick research I learned that it is a family-owned company/farm in Warwick that has several locations in the Hudson Valley. Being a big fan of pie, I made it my intention to check out - and finally got the opportunity to do so the other day while in Tarrytown. Noble is located right on Main Street in the thick of the commercial hub of Tarrytown. The place is small - like REALLY small; there were three of us in the store and honestly any more would have been too much. The interior didn't have much charm but it also wasn't drab. Despite the size, they have a good stock of pies as well as a few other baked good. Pies are obviously the star so I honed my attention towards them; they had a selection of fruit and cream-based pies sold as individual slices, mini, and standard-size. The staff told us that if we wanted to stay they had a back patio area for us to sit - since it was a nice day that sounded like a great idea so I decided to get a slice of their Will You Marry Me Cherry. I was given the option to have it warmed and served a la mode, so I decided to go straight in and get both (I chose vanilla). The outdoor seating area is quite nice, you need walk around the block to get to it but it was a short walk and much more spacious than the actual store. The pie itself? Just fine - its integrity was a little broken down and the crust was a little undercooked on the bottom; it wasn't my favorite slice of pie but it did have a good amount of cherries. The ice cream was slightly melted when it was served and also had some slight freezer burn - womp. Service definitely saved this experience for me - the two staff members working that day were awesome and made great recommendations on what pies to get. Even though I wasn't impressed with my slice, I'm giving Noble Pies the benefit of the doubt and would be open to trying them again - I'm just proceeding with caution. read more

Noble Pies will grab your attention not just because this 2nd location is yea big compared to the bigger 1st location in Rye- but there are a lot of cookies+ goodies that are kept in jars and even the whole pies and slices ready to be brought home. I'm just not sure how much baking goes in here because this place is really a matchbox. I knew I wanted a Veg+Mushroom Quiche like I had at their Rye location- but these folks only offer another type of Veg. Their Veg Quiche is a combination of a moist crust that's filled with sun dried tomato+specks of broccoli+cream and tons of onions. The Swiss and goat cheeses (I expected Gruyère+White Cheddar) took this quiche from ordinary to extraordinary. At least. I also ordered a slice of their 'Dirt Chocolate Pie' and 'Key Lime' pies. The first, was a silky custard filling- but it needed more cocoa oomph. The second, felt refreshing and limey. Both had a slight buttery, crumbly (too crumbly) graham cracker crust and piled generously. One of the best things about Noble's pies-especially the two slices I picked other than how silky smooth and melt in your mouth they are, is that the filling is perfectly chilled and doesn't need to be baked. Service is great. For the $32.50 hefty price I paid for the quiche with the nanoscopic zucchini and broccoli, I expected lots more visible veggies instead of mainly onions to fill in the gaps. Popped in here randomly and grabbed the last apple pie on the shelf and the woman was lovely enough to grab us a blueberry and a cherry pie from the freezer to bring home. They were all super delish! The crust was the best buttery flaky crust. We demolished this in minutes. The pumpkin pie has a bit of a heavier filling, but we appreciated that it wasn't overly spiced. I didn't like the crust on this because it was a bit more doughy on the bottom, and less flaky/hard to put a fork into. I would've also liked if the pie slices were heated up. If I lived closer, I'd buy these pies all the time. Since I was only in town for a few hours and didn't even have a car, I opted to only try 1 savoury and 1 sweet pie. Here's the tea: I was personally assured that if I showed up as soon as you opened the day before Thanksgiving, there would be plenty of pies available. Imagine my shock--and the collective frustration of many other hopeful pie seekers--when I arrived bright and early, only to be told that you'd only be fulfilling pre-orders. No pies for the rest of us. I get it, Thanksgiving is busy, and demand is high. But here's the thing: you told me (and clearly others) one thing and delivered another. That's not just bad business, it's plain rude. If you can't handle the chaos of pie season, fine, but at least keep your customers informed so we're not standing there pie-less and annoyed. So while your pies are amazing, your customer service is not so noble. Get it together--because no matter how tasty your pies are, no one wants to feel like a turkey the day before Thanksgiving. read more

Sweet hopes were quickly dashed. I had heard that their apple pie was not to be missed but, sadly, it missed by a mile. We eat with our eyes first and the store interior and exterior lacked any visual appeal or presence whatsoever. None. The store is of such narrow width that a claustrophobic attack felt more than imminent... and that was before even stepping inside. This is not a place for the broad shouldered or broad minded. $7 for a small slice of midget pie (it was only 3/4 of an inch high) left me feeling exploited. Unfortunately what it lacked in quantity it certainly did not make up for in quality. The apple filling was bland and missing moistness. It lacked contrast between sweetness and tartness since it had little of the former and none of the latter. Its flavor profile was of a singular note leaving my tongue clamoring for... less regret. The crust was not bad but contributed nothing to the flavor of the pie. It was just a bland carbohydrate container for the forgettable filling. Speaking of containers, the slice was placed in a large folding brown cardboard box that had its own zip code. How many more pennies would it have cost to have provided an attractive enclosure to prevent the slice from skating and somersaulting in the box on the way home? By charging the high price that they do it is reasonable to expect a positive experience that leaves the customer feeling that they received something of commensurate value. Regrettably, they failed to do that. The store's name is a misnomer. It should be called Ignoble Pies. read more

I have tried several pies from Noble: The Cherry Crumb, the Black Dirt Chocolate Cream Pie, the Chicken Pot Pie, the Pecan Pie, and the Buffalo Chicken Pot Pie. The Cherry Crumb is the best and my favorite. The Chicken Pot Pie was just OK, the Buffalo Chicken Pot Pie was pretty good, but the Pecan Pie was just ok andthe Black Dirt pie was pretty close to tasteless - no chocolate flavor at all came through at all. The prices are pretty steep. Slices are up to around $7 - $8. But if you're in the mood for a good slice of pie, a place like this to get an occasional slice or small pie is a welcome addition to the area. read more

I really wanted to love these pies but at $7 a slice I don't think I'll be back. The black dirt chocolate cream pie $7, apple crumb $6.75. They pack it in a rectangular box that is too big for 1slice. The box is a flap type sandwich box, it does not stay closed and it's very slippery. The pie slides all over and the boxes fell on the floor of my car and pie fell out because it does not stay closed. The crust on both pies was undercooked, nearly raw. I feel like the black dirt chocolate pie had a strong peanut butter taste also? Not sure how much a whole pie is but $7 for a slice is excessive, especially if it's undercooked and arrives beat up because it's not packed properly. I will not be back here. read more
