Coming from San Diego, our expectations of brew houses are pretty high, but knowing that we come from a city where beer is life, we are gentle with other brew houses.
My husband and I strolled by, and decided to have 1 beer. Support the local brew house, why wouldn't we?! I had the Hefeweizen & my husband had the stout. Both drinks were on sale for 45 pesos (which is about half of their normal going rate). Both beers were nothing exceptional.
I can say that the place was gorgeous; you dip your toes in the sand, sit with the beautiful sky above you as your overhead. Cute, beachy vibe that is perfect to relax in.
The next night, we strolled through again, this time they had "2 mescalitas x1" meaning, two for 1. My husband and I sit down, and wait for our server. I go use the restroom and while I'm in there, the server stops by our table, takes our order and then comes back and tells my husband that special isn't running anymore. After using the restroom (it's stocked with toilet paper yall) my husband informs me. No where on the sign does it say any hours or anything about the special having certain hours. We decided to leave. Mind you, everyone else had these drinks in hand and I saw a few more being brought out to tables.
It's alright, my feelings aren't hurt Nordo, but maybe next time you'll have a set time stamped somewhere.
Off to another restaurant I go ;) read more
