I had a fairly expensive summer style button down shirt with a hole in the front which I figured would render this favorite shirt to the garbage bin. But I went to 2 different places that do alterations and repairs to see if I could save it as it's one of the most comfortable shirts I've ever had. But they both said that they could not fix this hole (about an inch in diameter). Another customer who overheard my conversation with one of those places came up to me in the parking lot. This lovely woman said that she overheard my predicament. She gave me Noemi's info and suggested I go there and that she could fix just about anything. Upon seeing the shirt, Noemi herself was not sure if it could be repaired but wanted to give it a try. As I had nothing to lose I let her give it a shot. Several days later I was reminded what it is like for someone to take pride in their work and get joy from it. Not only did she repair the hole but also matched a fairly intricate graphic pattern which make the repair hard to find even when looking for it and knowing where the hole was..! AND - it was done in 24 hours even though she had quoted me a one week turnaround..! She was so lovely that I gave her a nice tip on top of her very reasonable fee. Took my daughter's sweet sixteen dress to Noemi for alterations. The dress was a little too small and I don't know how she did it but when we picked it up it fit beautifully. It was also a little long and altering the length would have cost $400.00 (it's a huge dress with many layers), it was the same price I had gotten somewhere else. Noemi looked underneath the dress and showed me how to pull the tulle so that the skirt fell nicely and she wouldn't need to cut it after all. I think the other seamstress would've taken my money, Noemi saved me $400.00. She's a wonderful seamstress and a wonderful person. I can't say enough good things about her, she's great. read more

I think she is great and talented and as kind as she can be. It's been awhile since I have seen her but she tailored a pair of dungarees for me, I bought the right size but she put in a panel so that I could have more room in the waistline. She did other things for me too. I have always been very satisfied with her quality of work and her work ethic. I could not recommend any one higher than her. read more
