We, 2 of us, showed up about 6 pm on a Tuesday. We were traveling through and needed a good dinner. We found Noho's on Yelp. There is a large parking lot. We were greeted and could choose any seat we wanted. We didn't know how big the servings would be so we observed other food being served and decided the "regular" size could be split. They have 3 serving sizes, small, regular, and huge. Also, no alcohol is served. We split a regular Kalua Pork dinner and we were very full. Very tasty, great Mac salad, rice and some drinks. The place is clean and clean restrooms; however, not much ambiance. We observed a very active take out business too. Great friendly service. Some of the best food you'll ever eat! I'm always so excited to eat I forget to take a picture. The food is always so good and consistently tastes the same. My family has been going here for years (probably a decade) because it is a favorite. We enjoy the family platter of teriyaki chicken, rice and the macaroni salad. The portions are family size and we can always share and still have leftovers. The macaroni salad is so amazing, I wish I could get the recipe!! I'm not a big fan of macaroni or potatoe salad but one is so delicious I also like how the restaurant feels like you're going to a family's house for a home cooked meal. This is my first time dining in at this place. Servers were very friendly and attentive. We were seated promptly. I ordered BBQ chicken by itself without rice or salad. Server told me that the potion was like appetizer size. However, the potion was huge and it filled up the whole plate as you can see in my picture! The chicken was tender, juicy, and well seasoned. I ordered from here bc of good reviews. I did an order for pick up. Their katsu" sauce was ketchup. I asked the employee and he told me that was the katsu sauce. The katsu chicken was so dry and hard we couldnt eat it. We also got the Kalua pork and it was not flavorful and it was very chewy. I am not a very lick person but this food was horrible. The food was delicious! One of the best BBQ we've had. We ordered the Beef mixed plate and the Korean mixed plate. The portions were good size. Personally I would have given up my 3 scoops of rice for another scoop of Mac salad which was also very good. My wife ordered the small and I ordered the big size and for $60 including the 20% tip we will have enough bbq for tomorrow too. Our last visit to Noho's was quite disappointing. I believe their process has really gone downhill a bit. The teriyaki beef was burnt around the edges and the flavor of the short ribs isn't there anymore. I hope the business wasn't sold off to another owner or cook may be different from the original who had prepared our meals 3 years ago. Definitely something has changed and it's not the same. Wait....what? Hawaiian food in Medford? Last time I was out this way there was a plate lunch place downtown, which has closed. Hungry and driving around, I looked up Hawaiian food and Noho's came up. You have to drive by slowly cause the driveway is on the left side, and it's a good size, but it was packed. I was lucky to score a spot! Walked in, looked over the menu, and decided on the chicken katsu plate, with rice and mac salad. Good size portion and soooooo good! Came HIGHLY recommended from a fellow foodie, but clearly not a place if you like veg with your meal. The marinated proteins are flavorful and charred to perfection. I took yelpers advice and opted for the largest portion for a few extra dollars. In return the portions were generous and enough to share and/or take to-go for another meal. This is NOT a place for a "healthy" meal. They said I could substitute both the macaroni salad and the rice for veggies without a problem *yay* but I wanted to try the macaroni salad so I had to order a scoop of macaroni salad for (+$3.00). Ok, sure. When I got the bill, I was charged +$6.00 for substituting 3 scoops of rice and 1 scoops of macaroni for a bowl of lightly sauteed broccoli and white onions *the sauce is yum* My meal of protein/ broccoli/ onions ended up being a couple of dollars more than my partner who got the largest meal with combination of ALL meat platter and skipped the veg altogether *good for him* Great for big food, big meat, high starch. Do not come here with and order any veggies or salad. It is not veggie friendly and it will cost you. The sauces are good! I would suggest ordering the biggest size of any platter and take it home and supplement with your choice of veggies and a green salad and I think you could feed the Family well with the tasty proteins from here. Ordered to go as we had our pup with us. First time in! Greeted immediately as we entered! Inside there's a small waiting area near the counter. A hefty menu of Hawaiian classics. Today we went with the loco moco & Korean bbq short ribs that included white rice and a scoop of mac salad. At first bite I felt like I was back in Waikiki on the beach enjoying a meal! Loco Moco is a hamburger patty with a runny egg with lots of gravy! Flavorful but not salty as I've experienced at other places. Kbbq was so good! Marinated with hints of garlic, soy sauce. I called and ordered a large teriyaki steak, medium spicy with an extra side of mac. I pay for it and drive all the way home six miles away to realize that it was chicken. They replaced the meal, but nothing else. No apology, no.I'm sorry you had to drive an extra twelve miles for something that they messed up on.
