Ok so I came to the launch night here when it first opened (last year maybe?) and my first thoughts were, "Ooh this place is cool with a buzzing atmosphere and loving the inventive cocktails!" After visiting this place again, my opinion of the cocktails haven't changed (lovely, well-made cocktails but I'll get onto that in a minute), the place is still cool (I mean hey, with Wonder Woman, Superman and Batman painted on the ceiling, how could this place not be cool), but...here's the big but.. It was quite dead And this was a Friday night on 2 occasions. Maybe not enough people know about this place or they don't advertise, but this place is worth a visit.
The first time I came we had cocktails, food, then headed to the club downstairs. Granted there was LOTS of room to dance, but that was because it was practically empty. I know we all complain when a club is too busy, but you do at least want some atmosphere. I thought this was such a shame because this venue is lovely, the music was great and the cocktails are delicious (and forgot to also mention that that service is great too). The second time I came here just for cocktails and food (note that I came back for the food too, not just the cocktails), but again quite quiet.
Aptly named, Noir is quite dimly lit which creates ambiance and did I mention they have Superheroes painted on the ceiling? (Yeah I know I did, but thought I'd say it again). The cocktails - yummy (think my photos speak for themselves), the food - delish (the Jerk chicken sliders and Halloumi sliders are mouth-wateringly good) and they even have a happy hour till 9pm. If you like shishas, they offer this on the terrace too.
So if you're looking for good cocktails with good food or just a quiet drink while admiring superheroes on the ceilings, check this place out! read more
