Love the service whenever I go here. If you're looking to be "outside" but still want chill vibes then I'd recommend here. The music is great, and on specific days they have afrobeats. The hookah is a great price, and the drinks are good! There are also a lot of photo ops as well. Note: it is $20 to park, and gratuity is added on your bill

Experience was 5/5 stars. Great happy hour, great DJ, don't have to call your server around. Good prices. Good hookah. Clean bathroom. Easy parking. Everything I want in a bar/lounge. Will be back.

Tip- Reservations are a must. 2 hour seating limit. Have to pay for parking .. not a fan of the seating limit or parking but that's Houston culture for you. Now that's out of the way... food is good, drinks are strong, hookah is hittin. came during the soft opening and a few weeks after the grand opening. Nice vibe for date night, birthday dinners, etc. entertainment on certain nights (came on a Saturday and there were belly dancers). excited to see what's in store for this Nomad.

I absolutely love this place. The first time visit was a great experience due to the atmosphere, vibe, and the look. During the first visit, we were blown away by our waitress, "DJ"...she was amazing. When I popped in for the 2nd visit this weekend, I requested DJ but she was not there, but Ms Anari stepped in and saved the day. She was hosting, visiting our table and running up and down the stairs like a champ!!!!! The food, the hookah, and the service was TOP NOTCH!!! I can't wait to return!

This place offers an elegant, yet thoughtfully designed space--everything from the lighting, the decor... it all creates a warm, modern vibe that sets the tone for a great night out. We were seated fairly quick (under 5 mins.) and enjoyed an inviting atmosphere, great drinks, southern flavors & hookah. Our server, DJ, was attentive and courteous, checking in regularly and making sure we were comfortable. And you can't forget about the actual DJ on the second floor with a beautiful blend of eclectic genres playing all night. Although the service was slightly delayed at times, it did not take away from the overall experience. Hoping to return soon.

I was invited to a Galentine's event with my friends. The customer service was excellent very quick and friendly. The decor and layout of the restaurant is perfect for groups and a great date spot. This place did not disappoint on anything everything was fantastic. I had the Rich B and Sitting sideways cocktails both were good. The food was amazing as well we shared appetizers and every last one was delicious. The entree I ordered was the lamb chops. These were some of the best lamb chops I ever tasted. In addition, they have an excellent happy hour selection as well. Definitely will be back soon!

Salmon burgers were juicy and light!! Very good!!

Job well done, Chef!! The food was delicious, the live music was amazing and the bartenders were fabulous!!

SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES.. For everyone wondering how their bills are so high when menu prices are low- BE AWARE!!! They charge an absurd "Sitting sideways" Fee ($15 per person). Would have never dined here if we were told upfront that these things would be apart of our bill.. SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES.

We made it to Nomad Reserve last night since it's been on our list. Off the back, I do not like the mandatory $20 to park after 5pm when it's a whole open parking lot!! But we paid it anyways. We walked in and the aesthics are gorgeous! It's just cute cute! They had the r&b music going so it was a whole vibe. We made reservations and we're sat down right away. However we sat waiting on a waitress and water for about 15 minutes. But once we got one the experience got better. We ordered "sitting sidewayz" for the drinks and it was GOOD! We ordered the wings and we're a little puzzled cause they were on the small side but it was alot of them. They were Hennessey and lemon pepper for the flavor and them thangs were soooo good. We were licking our fingers! For the entree I had catfish and etouffee and Darrell had the rib eye steak burger with fries. When I tell you this food was sooooo good and hot. Thank you to the chef! The crowd is a little on the younger side..maybe 25 and up..but they are not there twerking on tables..they are there for the hookah and pictures. So if you don't mind that... give them a try. They do seem to be birthday party central. Everyone was celebrating yesterday. They do auto add that gratuity though..no matter the size of the party. I definitely want to try again for brunch and free parking (call me cheap if you wanna.. lol!)

    Inside, so cute.

If you live here and enjoy hookah, of course you're family with the original Nomad at the corner of Fountainview and Westheimer, which is now closed to make way for this new and very much improved NOMAD RESERVE. It's absolutely beautiful inside and the outside patio area is so cute!! Beautifully decorated with a full bar, so no more BYOB. The happy hour specials were amazing! At the time of review, 1/18/25 $5 frozens, $7 lemon drops and margaritas. The food was great, just like the original Nomad. Our waitress - so sorry I forgot her name was very polite and helpful. We also got to meet the chef due to a little snafu that she made right IMMEDIATELY. I'm a fan and will definitely be back very soon.

Everything we ordered!! Hawaiian glazed salmon, Cornish hen

The food was absolute heaven. We had the Reserve cornbread to start us off. My wife ordered the Cornish hen with seafood dressing. I had the Hawaiian Glazed Salmon. Both were very well prepared. The atmosphere is very nice and posh. Music plays at a level you don't have to yell. Our waitress Paige was amazing.

The service was good and our waitress was nice. Our food came out pretty quick and it was just ok, for the price the portions should be bigger in my opinion. The mashed potatoes were very good but my salmon could've used a little more flavor. My cocktail was watery but maybe it was just mine. What I liked most was the look of the restaurant, it was cute. The lighting is not good so if you want to take pictures be mindful of that. Luckily we had a ring light. Lastly, the dj does bring a good vibe to the restaurant but its also very loud. We were sat right by the dj so maybe that's why but we couldn't hear each other at the table. Cute for a night out with the girls or a late night dinner date.

They managed to keep the same relaxed neighborhood vibe people love while giving it a much more modern, polished, and upscale feel. The updated design, lighting, TVs and overall atmosphere look incredible and make the space feel fresh without losing its personality. They still have the spinning drink wheel! The outdoor seating especially feels elevated now and makes for the perfect Houston brunch spot or night out. One of the best parts about NextDoor is that it's connected to Hungry's, which means you get full access to their menu while enjoying the lounge atmosphere. Being able to order everything from cocktails and appetizers to full meals while at a bar is a game changer. The food is consistently good, the drinks are strong (especially the frozen options) well-made, and everything comes out quickly. What keeps me coming back year after year is the consistency. The staff has always been welcoming and attentive, the crowd is chill, and it never feels overly pretentious or chaotic. It's one of those rare spots that works for everything, whether it's happy hour after work, date night, catching up with friends over drinks on the patio or a solo adventure. Love seeing a longtime Houston favorite continue to evolve while still delivering the same great experience that's kept me coming back for years. Definitely one of my go-to spots on Memorial Drive. My only suggestion is to tell the younger staff members to be conscious of their conversations while guest are dining nearby. I love people watching but I heard a lot of things. It appears Hungry's uses the bar area like a break/training room or to do other tasks like rolling utensils in napkins.

For food got the Cauliflower for starters. It was hot and pretty good. Then came the pasta, the Caprsese Avocado toasts and lastly the hummus pita. This was just our vegetarian table. The Avocado toasts was yummy but I found it a tad salty. Maybe because of the sweet drink , I don't know. The pasta was hot creamy and just the right texture. Kenneth, who initially assisted our table, provided exceptional hospitality and attentiveness that made us feel welcomed and valued as guests. Unfortunately, once the shift changed, the experience noticeably declined. A sweet young lady did begin assisting us, and while she was kind, the level of attentiveness to our table drastically changed. As a Black couple, we could not help but notice the difference in treatment throughout the remainder of the evening. A non-Black couple was seated across from us, and within approximately 30 minutes, we observed at least 7 different staff members check on their table, with easily 20-25 interactions from staff overall throughout the night. The manager alone approached their table multiple times while we struggled to receive basic assistance. Meanwhile, we waited nearly 45 minutes for smoothies, had difficulty getting anyone's attention, and had to physically get up from our table more than once just to receive assistance. As the night continued, it became increasingly apparent that other ethnicities were receiving noticeably better and more attentive service than we were. What makes this especially disappointing is that the experience started off so positively. The ambience, food, and initial hospitality had us excited to return. However, the inconsistency in service and the stark contrast in treatment left us feeling uncomfortable, overlooked, and unwelcome. Whether intentional or not, perception matters, and unfortunately, we left feeling like our presence, and our money, was not valued the same way as others around us. I truly hate that the night ended this way because this place has so much potential, but based on our experience, we will not be returning.

It took forever for our waitress to come to the table. I tried to give grace since it was Valentine's Day, but the place wasn't even crowded, so the delay was confusing. Now let's talk about the lavender lemon drop--because when it finally arrived? Whew. Delicious. Smooth, flavorful, and dangerously sneaky. I genuinely couldn't taste the alcohol, which is both a compliment and a warning . The wait time for the drink was long, but the payoff was there. For food, we ordered the Trap Trio (egg rolls, chicken sliders, and wings). Everything tasted good, though we asked for grilled chicken sliders and received fried instead. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting. Still enjoyable overall. I also had the shrimp Caesar salad. The shrimp were well-seasoned and not rubbery (thankfully), but the salad itself didn't really stand out--just okay, nothing memorable. Overall, Foxtrap is a nice vibe spot with good drinks and decent food. I really hope the service improves and that the waitstaff receives more consistent training, because with better service, this place could truly shine.

This night I went with one of my close sorority sisters and ended up smoking hookah with her. This location was dark and very easy on the eyes. It showcased a heavy middle eastern influence since hookah is heavy there. The variety of options are given in a menu style and allow you to pick whatever fits your needs at the time. You are also able to freely smoke as long as you would like with the occasional waiter coming to replace the coals on your hookah. They also hire their DJs every night, so the music can change and control the mood depending on what is played. The do played a variety of music from hip hop to r&b and pop, there was no shortage on the tunes just know that they will change. The downside of this place is the smoke, if you're asthmatic or have trouble seeing this place might pose a couple of risk to you. You might have trouble breathing or being able to see the ground as you walk into the puff clouds of other patrons. There is also a mixture of patrons, some there to enjoy themselves and others to have parties and fun, if you're set on a flat consistent vibe then this may not be a place, there was someone on a couch enjoying their entire life while we were there, luckily we didn't care how they did anything it didn't interfere with us.
