I loved exploring this little surf shop steps away from the beach. They had trendy women's clothes, much more than just touristy shirts. They also had a children's and mens section. South Florida has, let's be real, pretty garbage surf overall -- which makes Nomad Surf Shop in Boynton Beach all the more surprising. This is a hardcore, family-run surf shop in a world where shops like this are a dying breed, and somehow it absolutely delivers. The owner, Ryan, clearly has a genuine passion for surfing and for the shop itself. I've spent most of my adult life in Hawaii, and in my opinion, Ryan has a real aloha spirit about him. He's super nice, welcoming, and actually knows what he's talking about when it comes to the boards he sells -- no hype, no BS, just real knowledge and care. It's honestly kind of wild to find such a cool, well-run surf shop in an area with such subpar surf, but that's exactly what makes Nomad special. It feels authentic, not commercial, and run by someone who truly loves the sport. read more

Fun, unique shop! You might not expect it, but they have some very cute, feminine women's clothing and jewelry, besides fun tees and sweats. Very high prices, but it seems like everything is high in this area. We're not surfers at all -- just old 60-somethings -- but we always make a detour here. Attractive neighborhood, too. read more

Came in for gear and one guy ( employee ? with long hair) very nice, greeted me, but after that no one helped me. Wanted to get some surfing gear, or even rent. Short bling haired girl just sat in back, more concerned with eating lunch, I suppose, just looked at me( half / naked) which was a little inappropriate for an employee? I'm a business owner, so im sure the owner of this place would not be pleased. Lady in front area( ladies section) just looked at me, didn't greet me or help me. I guess they were Nomad? So No Sell! Cool store but, I guess no competition close by? I liked the vibe, the products, but disappointed, hopefully the next time I swing by, someone will be available to help me fill my truck with gear. read more

Take it from an 80s baby and avid surfer, who was born in California, lived his life going to Venice Beach, watched the rise of vans, quicksilver, GT, bicycles, Powell, and Peralta boards, and other fantastic brands. These guys are up there with the best. Brothers Ryan and Ronnie are super humble and tremendously attentive to their customers, staff, and business. I love shopping here. While it may seem like a small store from the exterior, they always have a nice large selection of women's clothing and shoes along with other items like surfboards, kids clothing, accessories, etc. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Do note that returns are for store credit or exchange only and sale items are final sale. They do usually have a nice rack in the back of women's sale clothing that's always worth a browse. My recent trip was to buy a couple new items before a Mexico vacation. I found several beautiful items. Be sure to stop by for your surf/beach need! read more

Super cool beachside surf store. If you closed your eyes and pictured "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" in the year 2021, this place is totally Spicoli! The decor is everything from surfboards to surf wear and so much in between. Great employees and so much to shop for, I just wish their prices were a little more 1982. From the roadside, the store looks small but inside there is plenty to shop for and if you are looking for a little souvenir to take home, they have plenty of items with their logo including T-Shirts. The front of the store from the outside has a small sitting area perfect for some cute photo opportunities. Nomad Surf Shop is definitely authentic for the surf enthusiast. read more

The Nomad Surf and Sport shop is a cute little store with nice decorations. The two girls at the counter greeted me and they said thank you when I left. I walked around and I liked the atlas of clothing, swimsuits and sandals. What I didn't like are the prices. The prices were the same as Margaritaville I can't see paying that much for items that really are not that expensive. read more

My son, TJ, picked out some sweet Oakley sunglasses, the Sutro's, a little to big for my style but that's what's hot now according to Celeb Football Stud, Patrick Mahomes. TJ also snagged some original Nomad Merch; a straw hat, a long sleeve sun shirt and a sick nomad tee with a hottie hula girl on the back. My wife Cassie found a beautiful patterned skirt and top to match and our EDBL brand ambassadors picked up some local handmade bracelets, nomad Merch, bikinis and a button up Hawaiian shirt. If you surf the web you'll find a video of Michelle "Bombchelle" Dalton, riding a skateboard through the store. Great core local shop. What you'd expect in HI or CA and not FL. Great board selection and friendly staff.

Had a great experience at Nomad! Was on a road trip and popped in because we love supporting small businesses and locally owned surf shops. They had hand sanitizer outside the front door. The ladies working on the women's side were all friendly and welcoming. They had a good selection of hoodies, dresses, hats, etc. Small kids section. We bought a tee and hoodie from the men's side. All of the staff was really helpful. Excellent customer service! Will definitely stop in again, when we're in this part of FL. read more

This is the best Açaí bowl I've ever had. All the different choices are awesome but "The Marley" is my favorite. The açaí is perfect, I don't how they get the açaí to be so perfect. Better than Raw Juce. And when you're done eating go inside Nomads surf shop because they always have great deals. Been shopping there since 2002. And a shout out to Nomad, I think when we have swells that are bigger than chest high, you should open The food truck at dawn patrol so we can all get a fix before we surf. read more

A beachy, chillaxed exterior with a well-stocked interior; gorgeous location right near the water. I've lived in Florida for over 25 years and I don't think I ever set foot in this place before, but I have driven past it. (Been next door to the deli and sandwich shop, but that's a different review.) Finally step foot in here with the boyfriend looking for skateboard gear - yes, I really want to learn. After browsing around, we asked for assistance on safety equipment and a young guy helped us out. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, much like the rest of the staff we encountered, plus gave us his honest opinion on what I truly did and didn't need to start my skateboarding adventures. He had faith in me, saying it was pretty easy to learn. Oh, let's hope he's right! Found some really nice boardshorts for 50% off, which was AWESOME! On the way out, I saw some very nice looking bikinis and vowed to return soon to try some on and replace my outdated swimwear. You gotta check out Nomad (and try the salt scrub in the bathroom when you're there - it's Florida salt from the ocean, right in the palm of your hands!) read more

I absolutely love this shop, not only do they often help and support the Surfrider Foundation (which is awesome!) but they have a spectacular early November sale where everything is 50% off! Their juice and coffee cart in the front is AWESOME! And I have now found myself visiting this shop more and more simply because of the good vibes. read more

This place had great stuff, things you can't find elsewhere, but it's very over priced. Located in a prime location on A1A, it's a fun place to go. They have a large clearance section outside, but it's always the same things on clearance and nothing that would fit a normal sized human. The men's shop is much more practical. Surf boards, skate boards, sunglasses, etc. It's great for unique swim apparel and perhaps the impulse buy surf board, but not much else. read more

After a Crummy experience at another surf shop we gave Nomads a try. It was the polar opposite of the other shop. EVERY single person in the shop was friendly, helpful and polite. We chatted with all the employees and then the owner of the shop helped us for a good long time. we were never rushed and no one was pushy, just the opposite actually, we really felt like they wanted to do good business and carry themselves as honest people. when we left the shop my boyfriend commented to me that they now have a customer for life with him. read more

Our whole family has been going here since our kids were little. They are both surfers and have purchased surfboards, clothing and sandals there. Last Saturday I purchased about $120 of shirts that were on sale. My one son didn't like the shirts I picked, so I gave him the receipt. At the store they told him he could only exchange them for sale items. No refund, no store credit. Called the manager who said that policy was on the sale receipt which by the time you get it, it's over. What is that all about? Never ran into that before. We'll never go back even though we like the store. Bad, bad policy. read more
