I used to come to noodle world during my college days in 2000 and since they closed their restaurant in Pasadena, I found they have it in San Marino and decided to come here for late lunch. The menu is still similar and the pricing is definitely unbeatable. For a bowl of noodle soup with pork and veggies, you can share it with 2 people and it's only $15. The fried tofu and pad Thai are still good as well. Definitely still Noodle World that I know in 2000. I wish they would open one in Inland Empire!

This has been one of my favorite restaurants for years. I used to go to their San Gabriel location, and I'm very glad that this one opened up closer to me. Plus, this restaurant is definitely not as crowded as the San Gabriel one, so service is always prompt and quick. The food is amazing; my favorite dishes are either the seafood pho or the charbroiled pork chop. The seafood pho comes with mussels, shrimp, and squid, which a lot of other restaurants do not offer. The charbroiled pork is always perfectly cooked and the marinade is the perfect mix of savory and sweet. There is a lot of seating available in the restaurant, especially during lunch time when they are not as busy. Parking is also pretty easy since there's a lot of spaces out front. Overall, this restaurant is both delicious and nostalgic. I will definitely continue coming here!

The place is clean and right off Huntington drive in San Marino. The service is as quick as the meal you order- ramen is quicker than chicken or fried rice, etc. The fried rice was good but it needed more flavor as did the chow mein. The fried chicken and rice was a perfect dish, a definite must order.

So so good would recommend it if you are sick our new to go soup restaurant Amazing!

    mango sticky rice

The hainam fried chicken rice is tasty, it's better than the one in Valley Blvd. The sticky rice mango is very delicious. The place is nicer too than the one in Valley. Thai service is great as usual. My only complaint is they don't have normal panang curry or normal coconut curry soup. They only have strange milk base soup, or if you want to modify the other noodle soup to make it more normal (e.g tom kha, change to beef or change to noodle), you have to pay more.

Food was super tasty! Service super quick and friendly. Pretty simple interior. I miss the booth seating! Regardless, sitting by the window is always a pleasure :)

They are always the BEST! So this was our first time here in Pasadena location, my group was not aware of their store hours so we came 30 mins before closing (sorry!) but we got what we all wanted!!! VERY VERY VERY DELICIOUS! As always, we normally go to their Alhambra location but since we were around the area and craved for noodles - we went and tried here and YES! of course, they did not disappoint. The service was super fast! At first we were apprehensive and compared right away with their other place Alhambra fav location - in here the light was dim, not a lot of people eating... (later we found out it is because they are closing lol!) - so yeah, all your apprehensions will go away as soon as you received their flash service, good food and great staff! Try their pork barbeque its the most delicious for me and I think all their food are good for 2! Enjoy my shared pics!

Great option for noodles. We typically go to the one on Valley but on this day, we were closer to this one. The flavors are great. We got the Pad Thai. Pad See Ew and Chicken dish. The honey glaze is delicious that comes with the chicken Parking: Street parking but should be no problem with plenty of space. Overall: Will return for their noodles and drinks.

Pickup was quick and the portion size was actually pretty generous. The chicken was done really well. The steamed chicken was tender and soft, and the fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. The rice had a nice chicken flavor to it too. What really took it to the next level for me were the sauces. They paired perfectly with the chicken and made each bite better. Also want to shout out the person who helped me, she was super nice and made the experience even better. Overall it reminded me why I used to come here so often. This is my second time here, so far everything I ordered has been consistent. So if I had to choose between Banana Bay next door and Red Chicken Thai, I'd go here. Love the various type of ginger sauces. Pairs well with the chicken and especially the rice. The chicken standalone can go head to head with say Cluck2Go. Think last time the only issue I had was the glass noodles weren't the ultra thin type of vermicelli or the flat rice noodles, just for better texture with the House Tom Yum. Will be coming back again and again. A top destination on Las Tunas in San Gabriel CA.

The Yellow Curry is pure comfort food; the broth is incredibly rich, smooth, and aromatic, with perfectly cooked potatoes and veggies. On top of the great taste, the portion sizes are very generous. It's flavorful and Ong Choy is nice and crunchy. Definitely a great vegetable selection. Pad Thai: the sauce is way too heavy and sweet. We didn't enjoy this as much as we thought we would. The first taste was good, but the more you have the saltier/sweeter it gets. The lime juice didn't lighten things up either. Don't really recommend it. Crab fried rice: there's a good amount of crab and egg in this dish. The rice is on the softer side, it's not dry and hard like most fried rice. We still enjoy it, the texture of the rice didn't kill the flavor of it. The flavor is very balanced, but quite oily. Tom yum seafood soup: There's a good amount of seafood in this soup. The flavor (sweet and sour) is well balanced. Sweet rice with mango: A great dessert option to finish the meal. It is not overly sweet. I'm not a fan of coconut, but the coconut is not distinctly sweet and overwhelming (so I was able to have some). The sweet rice is chewy and warm when served. And the mango is perfectly ripe and sweet. Definitely recommend it. The service was outstanding! The restaurant decoration is very traditional and unique. They are quite busy when we arrived on a Sunday night. I would give this place an overall 3.5/5 because they can definitely work on some of the dishes.

The food came out as it was made. We tried a number of dishes: Pad See You - good wok flavor. We ordered it with pork. There wasn't a lot of meat in it but I did like that the meat was thinly sliced. Crab Fried Rice - once again, good wok flavor. Lots of flakey crab meat and chunky egg pieces. Crunchy Tofu - we all loved the texture variation. The deep fry technique definitely leaves it with a crunchy shell. It was good with or without the sauce it came with. Pork Jerky - everyone enjoyed the marinade. We noshed and picked at this throughout dinner. Yellow Curry - we got it with beef, mild, no spice. It was tasty, the coconut curry was delicious. I was surprised at how much I loved this especially since the gravy was more soupy than gravy like. Puffy Carfish - wasn't sure what this was but saw it on a number or posts and had to try it. It was an interesting texture. I think I read after eating dinner that it was a salad. OOPS we didn't eat the cabbage! The sour apple slaw that comes with it is DELICIOUS!
