Detailed accounts about the first settlers, nurses, College and those who fled their homelands for a new start and a better life. I love seeing the artifacts, learning about those who came before me, their sacrifice and hardships. Makes me grateful for the good life I enjoy. Free parking is across the lot and easy to find. Able to wheel through or slowing walk through paved walkway between the displays if limited in mobility. There is a nice pamphlet available at the guest book signing in the middle by the stair access if desired. Probably a little geeked out with my rating here as I work with some of these rockets and enjoyed walking through to read about the others. If in the area worth the stop, wouldn't make it a sole purpose trip unless you are really into rockets!

The building that has all the information on is really nice and the people working here are very helpful and provide lots of information. There is an educational Center and a place to watch videos and they even have a board of what types of birds have been spotted on The Refuge in the morning. There is a little gift shops to buy overpriced items if you want. My daughter found an owl pellet on the ground outside the building and asked if she could keep it they were nice and allowed her to take it home so now we get a dissected and see if we can find a rodent. They also have information about all the activities they have throughout the year and how they celebrate different types of birds. This place is right off the freeway and it's definitely worth a 5 minute drive to this place. Also another nice thing is it is all free.
