Ordered food from here from Monaghans which is a bar next door. I thought it was super convenient that you could order anything from the menu and they deliver to the bar. The service was pretty quick and they packed it to go in a bag for us. The wings were really yummy, but the amount was so little for $17+tax & tip. From the photos i uploaded, you can see how small and sad the box looks. The taste was really great but I'd skip this for something else on the menu. The chicken wasn't very meaty. They sat us on the high tops overlooking the windows which made it a pleasant people watching spot. Food was outstanding, fresh, and came out relatively quick. You can taste they use high quality ingredients. We tried both the Nor-sting -ya pizza and the Rigatoni a la Norcina. Both were awesome and highly recommend them. Norcina is a fun, hole in the wall and neighborhood oriented place. They have a great atmosphere (eat inside if you want cozy and intimate and outside if you want a taste of the marina neighborhood, and pets from the Norcina mascot, Frank the Lab!) Their gluten free pizza has got to be some of the best I've ever had- it was so good, I had trouble believing it was gluten free. If you are gf you know how hard that can be to come by. Cute Italian spot in Marina! It was packed on a Thursday night. We were able to walk in around 7:45 but only for outdoor seating. It wasn't heated, but we sat near the open window so some of the heat from inside came outside so it wasn't too cold. I loved the prosciutto pizza, which has figs, balsamic, lots of cheese, & prosciutto. It was the perfect sweet and savory combo. The corn caramelle was also good but very expensive for the portion -- also since it's a filled pasta, it was a little heavy after a few bites so it's a good dish to share! I absolutely love Norcina. My husband and I moved to the Bay Area about six months ago and this was one of our first meals in town. We were greeted by a big, beautiful, sweet lab with ears of velvet and warm hospitality. We ordered pasta, wine and house made gelato. They literally churned it for us THAT NIGHT! I was also gifted an accidental pour of wine that just made my night. The food here is insanely delicious -- flavorful sauces, quality meat you can taste and perfectly cooked pasta. They also have blankets for chilly days out on the patio. We loved it so much we requested their table indoors for a late lunch to celebrate our elopement in August. They were so accommodating (given that they don't usually take parties over four people) and kept our reservation way longer than needed because they didnt want us to stress on our wedding day about when we'd arrive. Excellent! Looked on yelp for a new place we had not been to in Cow Hollow area...made our way to this fantastic place! Incredible service and such a charming vibe! We were greeted warmly and immediately felt at home. Asked for a certain table and was accommodated. The absolute highlight? My friend was visiting from NYC & said that he was in the mood for pasta & I thought of Norcina for their variety of menu items. I called ahead to make reservations which was easy. They have bar seating, window seating & some dining tables & outdoor parklet & I like to sit at the bar, chat with the bartender, watch him make cocktails & watch the guys assemble the pizzas. We had the duck liver toast & I can't believe that I've never tried it before. Fluffy duck liver is piped onto toasted bread & topped with carmelized onions in a balsamic vinegar reduction. Yum (if you like liver or pate). We also had the burrata, which is served over some cooked vegetables (zucchini), a bit different from the usual arugula or tomato slices but still yummy. My friend ordered the spaghetti with clams and I had the Dungeness Crab Tagliolini. The pastas were the perfect portion, not too heavy & were delicious. For dessert, we shared the tiramisu (my favorite) & Earl Grey Boudino. The tiramisu is perfection, light, fluffy & delicate. Went on a Sunday at noon which was very chill, service was great, and the restaurant dog, Frank, came by plenty of times to make sure we were enjoying our meal! Starting with the flight (refer to photo), I don't remember each drink name but the one on the far left was pretty bitter and not my favorite, the middle was pretty standard, and the end was really good, great sweetness level! Going into the food, the burrata was solid, a little bland for me, but the addition of eggplant was definitely a great choice. The pizza was absolutely delicious, I love that I'm seeing hot honey on more menus; it really elevated the dish. We took the in-laws here for a little Thanksgiving eve dinner. It was perfect for the task at hand! This restaurant is small and cute. The mom/pop, neighborhood charm is strong here. The menu offered enough for all, even the slightly picky eaters. We sat at a tall table for 4 and the front door remained open the entire time we were there. It was a chilly evening, so it would've been a little bit more comfortable if the door was closed. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the ambiance. Our food came out quickly and plated very lovely. The portion sizes are generous and I think we all brought leftovers home. This restaurant would be perfect for a date or a small group dinner. We ate at Norcina a few weeks ago and are still thinking about the Italian Sausage pasta we had. It was beyond!!!! The pizza was also delicious (we got the funghi) but definitely go for the pasta. I took the kids to the Balloon Museum last Friday and looked for a place to eat lunch nearby. One kid wanted pasta and one kid wanted pizza, so I found Norcina on Yelp, which serves both pizza and pasta. There was only one couple sitting outside so we were able to sit inside right away. The restaurant itself was small but right away, you could see the hot brick oven that they use to make their pizzas. We shared two pizzas and a pasta, which were all freshly made. The restaurant has an open kitchen so we were actually able to see our pizzas being made. We tried the following: - Funky funghi pizza - arugula pesto pizza with porcini mushrooms and two Italian cheeses. Pizza dough was thin and had a nice chew. - Prosciutto pizza - white pizza with figs and prosciutto topped with fresh arugula. This pizza was sweet from the figs and savory from the prosciutto. My 9 year old didn't care for the figs (more for me!), but didn't mind the arugula surprisingly. - Black pepper bucatini - cacio e pepe pasta that was creamy yet had a kick from the black pepper. Pasta was perfectly cooked al dente! I must say, I was very impressed with Norcina. Everything was fresh and delicious! Even the kids enjoyed the meal! The service was excellent as well! I asked our server whether he recommended the lambrusco or the orange wine from Sicily, and he recommended the orange wine. It complemented the meal well! The server saw my daughter staring at the pizza oven, so he told her that the oven gets up to 800 degrees. He said they use a high hydration dough, which is why the pizza takes no more than five minutes to cook. Because we ordered two white pizzas, I asked for a side of tomato sauce to dip the crust into. Not only did they warm it up for me, but I wasn't even charged for it. If I'm ever in the city, I would definitely go back to Norcina! read more

My friend and I came here at around 7pm on a Tuesday night, since we walked in without a reservation there were only certain seats available such as green table outside (not close to a heater) and bar seating inside. We decided to sit outside since it was a nice day. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and the meatballs itself were huge and delicious! It's great with the sauce but by itself I felt like it tasted slightly dry and the focaccia bread was sadly a little hard and not fluffy. We got 3 pastas to share: - tagliatelle bolognese - rigatoni alla norcina - corn carmelle The tagliatelle was pretty classic and standard but it was very tasty. The corn camelle was very interesting. I've never had pasta like this, the filling was very cheesy corn and I thought it was very creamy and tasty. The pasta pillow on the outside was a little hard, I wish it was cooked just slightly more. And my favorite of the night was the rigatoni!! This pasta deserves a 10/10. It was creamy, it was cheesy, the Italian sausage was homemade I'm pretty sure because some of the pieces were very large chunks and the pasta was al dente. There was so much depth in the flavors. It was both savory with hints of lemon zest but the zest was not overpowering. I have always loved Norcina. Ever since they first opened I have been a constant customer. Their whole menu is always fantastic. The service is nice and friendly and the ambiance is beautiful inside the restaurant and the outside tables as well. One of my favorite dishes has been the corn caramelle and my fiancés favorite is the truffle raviolo, but everything is great. The pizza has a great rustic feel with beautiful char.
