We were very hungry after our trip through the mountains so this was a welcome site. To start we had jalapeno poppers. I thought they were best ever. Outside was crispy and inside thw cheese was not molten lava like. Es pointed out that the poppers were not very spicy. So if you like them to hurt, you migjt find these a bit week. I had a loaded buffalo burger. It was very good and not dry lile bison can be. Es ordered a taco salad. She was not happy with the full size chops and that it had cold taco meat. We stayed there for two nights on the weekend. People are friendly and helpful. The bartender even changed our TV at 10pm after we found out it doesn't work. Nice guy. Front desk was also polite, in the morning the lady was a bit of rough but that's her kind of humor . Pricing is ok. For the breakfast bagel I would expect a better value for that money. The room was clean, new carpet and painted. Fridge and TV there. But I have to say it's old. Mean rustic. But if you wanna avoid to drive in the morning an hour from Rocky Mountain House to get to Nordegg for your hike get over it. Import is it's clean. Maybe one day they do a haul over and then it will be really good. Room service was good! Thanks to all there to make it a good experience. read more

Drove through on a snowy October afternoon on our way back to Edmonton. Expected a run of the mill truck stop cafe. Was pleasantly surprised to find this gem. Service was excellent. Prompt, accommodating and professional. Soup definitely didn't come from a can. If you are driving east from highway 93 no need to stay hungry all the way to Rocky Mountain House. read more
