I love going to this lodge with my friends to go quadding in the mountains. We have been going for a while now. The renovated rooms are really nice. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Hotel is extremely under staffed. Receptionist unable to assist with any issues that arise and manager absent and unwilling to return phone messages. Linen and towels were clean, beds comfortable, food from restaurant was good. Server in restaurant was the only helpful person I encountered but was so overwhelmed she was in tears. Really basic, and my rating is for what it is. A place to sleep between hunting or fishing jaunts, or overnights during a motorcycle trip. It's clean, has a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. The beds were comfy, as were the pillows. The acoustic privacy is not great, but everyone was quiet by 10 PM, getting ready for the next days adventures. The attached restaurant offers a mixed bag. The homemade bean and bacon soup was quite good, as was the club sandwich and sweet potato fries. The liver and onions on the other hand was a mess.
