I had been given numerous recommendations for physical therapy, but after choosing OSSPT and seeing the team in action there was no doubt I was in good hands! I had undergone major surgeries to rebuild both legs (including total knee replacement). Dr. Kaytlyn Hansmeyer absolutely performed magic in skillfully restoring both of my legs to full mobility (walking 5+ miles, climbing 20+ flights of stairs, biking, swimming and more...)! Her professionalism and care were most excellent and much appreciated! Each leg had serious issues following surgery. Kaytlyn patiently listened to my complaints and demonstrated a high degree of expertise as she addressed and resolved each issue. My major near-term goal was to be physically fit to serve as Sports Director at a youth camp in Hawaii next month (June). While I was in an auto accident three years ago and have had a few different PT's, a recent re-injury left me with neck pain and headaches again. It was a relief to find a physical therapy office in Norman who provides custom treatment based on how you feel when you walk in the door, who listens and encourages you to try your best even when you're hurting and in pain. Bryan, who is my PT cares about not only about me but all his patients. I am currently undergoing treatment but when I finish an appointment I can concentrate better because my headaches and neck pain are less. It's so refreshing to be in less pain. My first visit was pretty good. I felt like he did his research before I even walked in, which made me feel important, or that he actually cared. He got my background and did troubleshooting. Dr gave me his professional opinion on what he thought was going on with my knee. After dotting the I's and crossing the T's he gave me options on what he think would be best before just cutting me open. After a couple attempts of injections, I realized it wasn't working but Dr had a solution. Staff even make a difference. From the front desk Receptionist to the Nurses of the Drs. The solution that was chosen worked fairly well. If I learned anything from this experience, its that some Drs actually care about your well being, rather than feeling like they know and start cutting on you with no hesitation.
