NORMS Restaurant app has me coming back for the classic diner vibes and has me staying for the unlimited fresh coffee refills! This Norms right on Harbor Blvd has been a staple in the neighborhood for years and of all the times I've been here, the service has been consistently has left me satisfied! Coming in, I get asked for seating right away and the wait is prompt as soon as a table opens up, or are reassured if there's a wait. The food is so classic! I get any combination of a pancake, bacon, eggs, steaks or hashbrowns and it's always a hit. One thing I'll say about the chocolate chip pancakes is that the chocolate is not cooked in with the batter so it's just chocolate chips on top of the pancakes, which to me was a bit disappointing. The quality and portions are really good for the price point. All in all, it's a great experience and the convenience of being a diner staple in the neighborhood just keeps it a great place to come back! read more

While staying in Huntington Beach this week we felt overwhelmed by the crowds so we went off in search of something off the beach neighborhood. My brother had told me about Norms so we decided to check it out. Parking was easy and once inside we walked in to a short wait that ended up being longer because they seemed to have no hostess. Once seated by what ended up being our waiter our drink order was taken and of course our food moments after. Portions were good size and our waiter was great. They may want to spray for ants though. Halfway through our meal we saw quite a few tiny ones making their way in through the window seal. Other than that place was clean. You pay up front when you're done. read more

The overall service, needs major improvement. It took a while to place our order (I am partly to blame because I did ask for another moment) and the place wasn't all that busy. We only saw our server twice. When we placed our order and when we were brought our food. That was it. Never stopped by asking how our meal was, which we will get to that, or to top off our waters. I had to refill my glass with the water bottle I brought in with me. The meal itself was bland and the steak I had ordered was over cooked. Couldn't even bring that to the server's attention, because he never came back. For us to pay, we were never given a receipt until I was already about to pay for said meal. That was after waiting about 5-10 minutes for a receipt. I won't be dining here again due to this. Hopefully improvements are made. read more

My experience at this particular NORMS was okay. I can't say much about the food since I just got a burger, and it was only "okay." I've definitely had better burgers and fries for a lower price. The atmosphere was mediocre not bad, but nothing special. To emphasize, this isn't a bad diner; it just lacks personality. read more
