The meal also comes with bread, salad and coffee and dessert if you want. The food quality was extremely impressive. I forgot to take pictures of the salad but I've replicated them at home since. One was a kale and purple cabbage salad with a nice vinaigrette and the other was a chunky tomato and cucumber salad. The main dishes were super good and filling. We split a dessert (a chocolate ganache cake) because we were quite full by that point. We also got some light lunch beers to go with our meal. The space is quite large and while it was quite busy when we arrived, the service was quick and there were still numerous seating options. People tend to eat and leave - it's more cafeteria style than restaurant style that way. The quality of food and the price were very good. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

We started with an amazing passionfruit sour and the chicken, lemon, and leek croquettes small plate, moved to a delicious and SUPER fresh salmon smørrebrød, and finished with pan fried mushrooms and goat cheese paired with the smoothest cherry wine I've ever tasted. The mushrooms were a tad too salty to be honest, but considering it was on the house due to one of our croquettes being a little undercooked, we couldn't complain. I'd give the food and drink a solid 4 stars but would give it 10 stars for service and concept if I could so I rounded to 5. Thanks for an awesome spontaneous dining experience!

That meant we were lucky enough to be the only ones eating there! Several people sat at the bar behind us, where they serve the beer they brew and other alcohol. I have to avoid gluten and shellfish, and the menu easily accommodated me. Swedish menus often say to talk to the server if you have allergies, so they're nice about it. We had a delicious asparagus hors d'oeuvre with dots of browned butter emulsion (tasted like Hollandaise) on the plate. I had char with mushroom tapenade, beets, and new potatoes, and Tom had lamb with halloumi cheese, vegetables, roasted garlic gravy and herb baked potato. Both dishes were perfectly done. I am not enthusiastic about lamb, but this was the best I'd ever tasted. For dessert we had the chocolate truffles, which were also fantastic. Tom asked about the beer that they brew, and the server/bartender brought two samples. They were both so good, he had one of each. I am more of a wine drinker, but I thought the beers were excellent. I was awed at the cozy pub feel and excellent line up of taps and bottles. The bartender asked what I'd like, and I told her I was looking to try regional IPAs. She took me around one side of the bar to a fridge filled with a great assortment of beers from the area and proceeded to recommend some IPAS from trending breweries. I started with a Dugges High Five IPA that was near perfect. She let me sample a couple other beers and I again took her suggestion and opted for a Zodiak IPA from Omnipollo. It a had a nice hop taste with floral hints which she described perfectly. She was one of the more knowledgeable bartenders I ran across in my search for IPA perfection in Stockholm. The traditional pub ambiance was perfect, it had a nice outdoor seating area, and it was perfectly maintained inside and out. My only regret is that I didn't eat there but instead went to a plce a few blocks over where I didn't have as stellar an experience. Next time, if I'm lucky to be in Stockholm again I'll be back to this place.

The first thing we tried was the deep fried pickles, which I thought was awesome - yet that was probably the worst thing we ended up getting. The stew is frankly amazing. It's like a barbecue gumbo (but better than that sounds). It's so meaty, and yet the broth itself is this rich liquid which is like the essence of barbecue itself. It came with the best cornbread I've had outside of the United States (although I come from the UK which basically takes the opportunity to mess up cornbread every time I've had it). The pulled pork croquettes were also stand outs, as was just the overall service. Super friendly, and just chatting but in an unobtrusive way. Even though we were completely stuffed, we ordered the banana pudding. This was a very good choice, but I have to say that it's only the second best I've ever had. The first is Magnolia Bakery in New York, so frankly it's still quite the compliment!! Just so good. If I was in Stockholm longer, I'd be tempted to come back.

My favorite burger is The Nutty Professor which is a burger covered in peanut butter. I know it sounds a bit weird but don't knock it until you've tried it. They have a good selection of Brewdog beers on tap and a fair amount of guest beers as well. The staff is friendly and well educated in the wonderful world of craft beer and if you're a shareholder they might have special beers that only shareholders allowed to buy. One a Wednesday evening after work it was just the right amount of people there. Almost full but still possible to find a seat - gives the place a nice atmosphere and the friendly and knowledgeable staff is an additional strength. Beer is of course their main thing and their own beer is of course sold there. I am a fan of it but appreciate the selection of guest beers even more. A lot of small microbreweries represented both on tap and by the bottle. I cannot really fault them for the selection but the pricing is high, perhaps unfair as the price level in Stockholm is high but it annoys me when I had the same beer at their London bar for a third of the price. Was considering to give it a 3 but the quality level deserves a 4. This part of town also really deserves a decent bar so in that way a great addition.
