Went in October for a nose piercing and tattoo and let me say Izzy done a great job on my tattoo and Matt done a great job on my nose piercing , then took my niece last Saturday to get her septum done and had hers and mine done by Skylar and Izzy and they done such a wonderful job on both of ours, and Skylar and Chelsea who is a very nice person also , helped me pick out a new nose ring since I was getting it changed ! Have to say I definitely recommend North Alabama Ink for all your tattoo and piercings, because they have a fun , friendly , comfortable and very professional atmosphere , and have become my favorite shop and every one of their artists and piercers are very nice and makes you feel completely welcomed! read more

At 53 yrs old I got my 1st tattoo. I'm a Born Again Christian and I was praying about where to go. The Lord laid North Alabama Tattoo oh my heart. Keep in mind. I'm not from this area. I'm originally from below Birmingham Alabama, so I know nothing of any local business. I had no idea at the time they were a Christian Tattoo place! I was met with the most friendly staff- Leviticus aka Libby was absolutely charming. Matt James designed, and did my tattoo on the spot! I will be going here for all my tattoos. My son just got his first tattoo by Matt also it's amazing! I've seen a lot of the other artist and their work online and it's stunning. I'd be happy for any of the artist to do my next tattoo. Stan has supposedly been doing tattoos for 24 years. If you ask me he needs a new profession cause this looks like a child did it. The lines are shaky and don't even line up. And the shading is missing in spots. Charged $60 for a 1.5 inch tattoo that looks awful. Not sure how he can happily let people leave like that. read more

Came here for a simple line work tattoo. I had a clear photo of what I wanted and they made a stencil. Except the guy that did mine didn't follow the stencil AT ALL. The lines are all uneven and different widths and sizes. When he started the tattoo, he propped my arm on HIS KNEE WHILE HE SAT ON A ROLLING STOOL. He was extremely heavy handed and did the whole thing in like three minutes. I'm currently waiting for it to heal so I can go to a PROFESSIONAL and have it touched up. Never returning. read more

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Not only did my tattoo get ruined (my first tattoo by the way on my wrist at that) but the women "Marla" was so completely rude it was disgusting. I tried to explain to her that i wanted the wings on the dragonfly to be the same shape, size ect. EVEN!!! or as close to it as possible as i know nothing is perfect. HOWEVER when i jokingly said I'm kinda OCD like that, her snarky response to me was "you know they make medication for that right" and when it was complete and VERY obviously not even at all, she rudely said "I'm not a robot and all you care about are the imperfections" Very unprofessional in my opinion. But honestly the worst part is i believe she messed up my tattoo on purpose. I understand i can be a tiny but difficult but in this situation i feel like it's ok to be picky. i walked in knowing exactly what i wanted and it was not rude or sassy in any way when explaining and drawing the tattoo out as an example. Bottom line. I went to Nashville and got it as close to fixed as can be short of a full cover up and will not return to North Alabama Ink for my next tattoo. PS. I know no one is perfect nor is any single tattoo but when you can't trace a stencil as a tattoo artist should you even have a job?. read more

I wish I didn't have to give this business any stars. Service seemed extremely unprofessional and environment did not seem sanitary. I received a nostril piercing from them as my first facial piercing and the "professional" that helped me did nothing to ease my nerves, all she did was sit me down and stick a needle in my nose. I did not receive ANY after care information at all. There was fast food on the desk and a straightening iron plugged in in the "room" (more like a stall) where the piercing was done. There were the "professional's" children running around the trailer which made me even more nervous. Now fast forward a month and my piercing is infected!!! I properly sanitized the piercing and took care of it after having to look up information that should have been provided to me. Poor communication and customer service, unprofessional staff and unsanitary environment...DEFINITELY would NOT recommend coming here!!!!!! read more
