If I could rate it lower I would!!! I gave specific instructions with pictures and got no where near what I asked for. I had 10" of hair and asked him to take it down to 4" and he cut it all off except 1.5"!!!! It took me a year to grow it. Then he tries to load it with gel to look like some sort of haircut but it's not, it's a pile of poo! when I said something he became combative and I asked him if my hair looked anything like the picture and he wouldn't answer the question. I tried this place recently for the first time. They charged $35. for a haircut. When I inquired about trimming my very short beard, they said that would be another $35. I never had to pay more than $20. anywhere else, and they will usually throw in the beard for no extra charge. They did a good job with the haircut. I don't think I'm cheap, but I have found about another place nearby that charges much less I will give a shot to next time. I did give him a $5 tip. At least I know where I can go back to if I need to fix up a cheap haircut from another barber... read more

This is a great barber shop in the North Myrtle Beach area. It might be as cheap as some of the other shops, but Tommy always does a great job, gives a great haircut, and you get exactly what you want = worth it. Tommy and his wife are always very welcoming and make you feel at home. The shop is clean, and they accet appointments and walk-ins. Came to Myrtle beach on vacation decided to get cleaned up and my son is leaving for the marines November 2021. My son wanted to get head shaved to get ready. I walked into a viking barber but not able to take walk ins, no one in chair or lobby but "too busy". I called North Beach Barber Shop and they said come on over they would fit us in. We were greeted upon arrival, clean and welcoming business. Walls are filled with interesting pics and autographed memorabilia. Our barber was full of witty banter, information and super friendly.
