It's a cute little privately owned cafe on Olive Street just around the corner from The Bridges. I've been here quite a few times but I'll just outline the relevant points! Their chips (fries) are to die for! Thick cut and perfectly salted....seriously, you're crazy if you add more salt and you're crazy if you say there's too much salt on them......perrrrfffeeecccttt. Their hot drinks are lovely! Only ever tired their mocha but it didn't need any sweetening and that's a plus for me any day. Their desserts/cakes are delicccciiiouuuussss. And they're quite unique haha. American Peanut Butter cake, Oreo Delight, etc but you still got the classics like Lemon Meringue and raspberry tarts. Their paninis are ON POINT. Get their pesto and mozzarella panini, very yummy. They also have small or large English breakfast (both regular and veggie). The best part? I haven't had anything at this cafe that was over £5. A filling panini with chips and coleslaw is £4.50. The mocha and hot drinks are £2.20 and under. I've heard their milkshakes are delicious and they're only £2. You can do the Afternoon Tea deal (any cake with your choice of any tea or coffee) for £4. Staff is extremely friendly, kind, and interactive. Also, 10% student discount :) If you don't try this place soon, I'm gonna be really upset.....that's not very convincing but please go try it :) you won't be disappointed!

The Good Apple Cafe is a really cute small cafe and I think it actually just opened recently! As soon as you walk in, you're greeted the smiles of friendly staff members and a cozy setting of chairs and tables. Here's the big plus....this cafe is vegan! Have you ever tried vegan rocky road? Gluten-free Orange and passion fruit cupcakes? It's literally a world of wonders in there! Not only that, you've got yourself a vast selection of hot drinks, including an even greater selection of teas (no seriously there's actually a lot!). If you're hungry, that's it's own story. Lots of choices ranging from bagels to wraps and even yummy sweets! I'm gonna be super boring and just tell you right away I had a cappuccino despite all these choices lol! Other selections included a rooibos creme caramel tea (you read that correctly.....I've never smelled something so beautiful), regular black tea, matcha latte (delicious!), and a grilled cheese sandwich with a side of a latte. Everyone loved their choices! Prices are very reasonable: drinks are all under £2-3 depending on your selection and food is anywhere between £3-6! Free wifi for all you Internet lovers and they have a stack of magazines and novels in the corner in case you just wanna zone out for a bit. On our way out we managed to catch the barista taking freshly baked red velvet cupcakes out of the oven.....nothing better than seeing your food made fresh! Nevertheless, I'm a sucker for these kinds of places :) First time I went I tried their Mocha....throw in a splash of brown sugar and it's a perfect finish to a long day. We also decided to play Cards Against Humanity (don't play this card game with your parents lol) and it was an overall great time. From my understanding, the cafe was to close at 6pm but I still noticed people coming in, although they weren't ordering. So I found out that the cafe actually has theme nights throughout the week to introduce new arrivals of board games or to just have a social night...I thought that was pretty neat! Second time I went, I was with a friend and decided to try their hot chocolate. Same barista as last time (so sweet!) and the hot chocolate was nicely topped with baby white and pink marshmellows. I really love that rare cup of hot chocolate that's the perfect level of sweetness....not too sweet....not too bitter....just perfect! Despite it being a board game cafe, we just sat and had a nice chat. It's a good location for a catch-up or for a nice social night! Another pro to this place is their awesome prices....£1.70 for a medium mocha and £1.40 for a medium hot chocolate....yup I'm sold! Recommend!
