Lawn care was consistently delayed and unreliable. I was repeatedly given service dates that were not honored. Terry often told me what I wanted to hear but failed to follow through. The quality of the lawn work itself was subpar at best. The billing process was equally unprofessional--statements were not sent on time, which forced me to pay for multiple services at once. On top of that, I would receive calls from Terry accusing me of not paying, when in fact the issue was the company's failure to invoice in a timely manner. If you expect professionalism, accountability, and quality service, look elsewhere. There are far better lawn care providers in Tillamook. read more

They showed up blasting thumping bass music, not caring who in the apt complex (like me) who works nights and needs a quieter atmosphere. They parked their trailers across every available parking spot, sideways and commenced yelling and loitering around for hours. It seems if they can't run loud machines to get a job done, which at least have the decency of becoming white noise, they have to fill the void with ear shattering, earth shaking "music" and then yelling over the top of it. Not wanting to be redundant, all I WILL say is that the folks commenting about the absolute rudeness of Terry are spot on. We made a special trip out from Portland to meet with this individual and he never showed up. When I contacted him about a half hour after he was supposed to meet with us he groused that he owned other businesses that had more important issues and also he didn't really want any more clients. I just got off the phone with Terry after trying repeatedly to relay to him a request to stop service after we sold our house. I tried multiple emails and voicemails as per his website. I finally got through to him by phone today after North Coast Lawn sent me statements for service that occurred after we sold the house. We have been paying for "comprehensive yard maintenance" for several months (for which they bill $290 monthly). They only show up once per month, even when we call and request service. The service, when it actually happens, is incredibly subpar. We have called and asked if they have staffing issues, asked them to communicate their schedule, asked for a call back. Nothing. I have spoke with Terry directly, and he is incredibly rude. Talked about it with others in the community, and the company has a reputation for being rude, unreliable, and expensive. Paid bill monthly - one month got a bill with odd 'past due' amounts which I questioned. Never heard back when called - paid the present amount due and provided proof of payment on previous billings. Eventually just paid the sketchy past due amount to avoid a pissing contest, but owner either closed up or just cut off service without any notification. I dealt with Terry Philips (GM) to fix a drainage problem that was going to damage my house. After arranging to meet about the work. He cancelled the day of and said he didn't want to do the work. He left me in a bad spot with water encroaching on my house. This company can not be trusted. I am surprised they are still in business. Wow. I tried to call, but no answer. Then the website indicated a email address, so I tried that and also their "contact" form as it was unclear what the best way to reach them might be. When someone named Terry called me, I missed the call, called right back and was curtly informed that I tried to contact them in different ways, as if that was a problem and they had already responded via email. Customer service skills are lacking. It isn't hard to say they don't offer the service I was looking for (even though they were recommended by someone who said they did that work). Northcoast was recommended by a friend., I had an overgrown ugly mess. I have used other gardeners in the area and they would weed whack my flowerbeds, not show up.. etc. I called Terry, He came he said he would, he told me how much.
