You would think that a fish and chip shop at the beach would know how to make good fish and chips... We ordered 2 fish and chip boxes ($17) and we wete very disappointed. The fish was small and the thick batter was still wet inside. The chips had little flavour and no serviettes were provided.... The tables were not cleaned regularly and there was junk everywhere on the ground. The location is the only good aspect to this shop. The frustration with this type of place is that locals will complain if McDonalds wants to set up here but the existing operators haven't got a clue about food and service. At least McDonalds has clean tables/floor and cooked food. Come on Australia, we have heaps of cooking shows on tv but we can't get fish and chips right at the beach? F#&% ridiculous. read more
